"The location is excellent! The hotel is in the bustling Jiaoxi downtown area. Yishunxuan is just a few steps downstairs, making it very convenient to buy souvenirs. There are many food stalls and restaurants to choose from near the hotel.
The hotel's rooftop has an open-air hot spring, and on a clear day, you can even see Guishan Island. Mr. Zhiwen, the staff member on the rooftop, was incredibly polite and responsible. Vivian, the lobby manager, and Eva from the lobby were very friendly and professional, providing a lot of excellent service during our stay."

"The twin hot spring baths in the room were fantastic; we could enjoy both hot and cold springs at the same time. During check-in, the receptionist was very friendly and, knowing it was our first stay, suggested upgrading to a high-floor room to catch the beautiful sunrise for an extra fee. Also, the doorman, upon learning we were heading to Nanfang'ao Fishing Port, promptly arranged a taxi for us, getting us there quickly. The service was very attentive.
The hotel breakfast hours are incredibly long, from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This allowed us to enjoy the hot springs, check out, and then have a leisurely brunch before leaving. The food selection was diverse and featured unique specialties. Superb!"

The water from the showerhead felt silky, leaving my skin smooth and delicate after washing (though the water pressure was a bit low). The shampoo and conditioner were also excellent, making my hair soft and smooth. Water dispensers are available throughout the hotel, providing sparkling water, ice, and hot/cold water 24/7, which is very convenient. There are multiple hot spring pools, a spa, a steam room, and a massive swimming pool. If you get tired, hot and cold drinks are also provided. The air is fresh and the surroundings are beautiful. Overall, it's a high-quality trip perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle and relaxing both body and mind."

"The hotel photos didn't match the actual room I stayed in. I specifically booked this room because I needed to work and the hotel facilities listed a desk. However, upon check-in, there was only a low Japanese-style table with a cushion, which made it impossible to use a computer properly. When I brought this up to the front desk, they kept going in circles, insisting there was no desk to begin with. It wasn't until I showed them the photos from their official website that they finally seemed willing to help. But their solution was to either move me to a lower-tier room or have me use the lobby, which was dimly lit, and as a woman, I didn't feel comfortable being there alone ๐ต๐ซ. Their unenthusiastic attitude was really disappointing. In short, I definitely won't be staying here again."

"Our stay from Friday to Saturday was fantastic! It truly lives up to its five-star rating. Even the front desk staff were incredibly pleasant and articulate. The hotel's facilities and activities were excellent too; you could easily arrive around noon and spend the whole day enjoying everything it offers. It's suitable for all ages. Our room was spacious, clean, and meticulously tidy. Guests have the option of using either the indoor or outdoor hot springs, and you can even enjoy them in your own room, as the water source is the same. The indoor hot spring area also features massage chairs. The breakfast spread was very generous and varied. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Zhiben!"

Guest UserThis was my first time staying at this hotel, and I was assigned a room in Building 3. The soundproofing was absolutely terrible, not only between rooms but also for the French windows. Just outside my room's balcony, there's an open-air lounge area for the hotel downstairs, and I could clearly hear guests' conversations. Throughout the night, I kept hearing intermittent noises, like something scratching the wall, coming from upstairs, as well as conversations from other rooms, which made it very difficult to sleep.
When I checked out, I mentioned this to the front desk. They told me that only my son and I were staying in Building 3 (so where were the noises coming from? The front desk suggested I must have been hearing noises from Building 2 ๐).
The overall hotel design is quite odd; it's divided into three buildings. To dine or use the hot springs, you have to go to Building 1. Although there's a golf cart shuttle service, it's still inconvenient when there's a large crowd waiting for a ride.
My son used the public hot springs and thought they were pretty good and well-equipped. That was the only positive aspect of this stay.

Guest UserExcellent daily healthy breakfast with a wide range of varieties for all in the family to enjoy, and using local fresh ingredients making the start of day something to look forward to! Near food eateries and stores for some local souvenir shopping, convenience stores, and walking distance to train station! We also enjoyed the daily evening complimentary snacks and drinks services including their special tea cocktail. Best of all was their impeccable service. We left our shopping behind after we left the hotel for Taipei, and they kindly arranged for courier to send the items over, wrapped the breakable item nicely with bubble wrap. They also helped us plan for a wonderful and memorable birthday with locally sourced cake and flowers. Everything they did was done with care and love, even for something as simple as making up beds, that they also tucked in the kids' soft toys in cutely. The kids now want to go back to Yilan just for the hotel stay! Definitely the best hotel experience we have had as a family!

Sweetme Hotspring Resort is a fantastic place to unwind and recharge. The location is excellent, just a few minutesโ walk from Xinbeitou Station and conveniently close to many restaurants.
One of the highlights of the stay was the spa experience. Guests can enjoy both the private in-room hot spring and the public spa facilities. The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Breakfast was another strong point, with a good selection of food to start the day right.
Overall, Sweetme Hotspring Resort delivers a well-rounded experience with great amenities, a prime location, and a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely come back again.

Having a hot tub right in the room for a private onsen experience was absolutely wonderful! It saved us the trouble of going to an outdoor bathhouse, offering both convenience and privacy โ I loved it! A big thank you to the hotel's front desk staff too; they clearly explained the check-in process, and everyone was so friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance. Superb! ๐๐

Overall, I was quite disappointed.
Right from check-in, the staff couldn't find my reservation, and they even asked for my surname in English, and the number and gender of guests, which was a bit odd.
I noticed a lot of things because I was waiting for my luggage in the lobby for a very long time. The seating area around the art installation in the lobby was dusty, especially the back rows, and the outdoor area was full of fallen leaves.
While I was busy with my child and family arranging crafts, my luggage had already been taken to the room. When I realized I needed my carry-on bag, the staff said they would retrieve it from the room for me (we hadn't even checked into the room yet). I had a carry-on with my child's daily essentials, and my child needed to use the restroom. So, we waited in the lobby for that bag for nearly 20 minutes.
Regarding the other facilities, the welcome tea was incredibly simple. The window in our room had large water stains on the glass (I initially thought it was fog). Below our room, there was an area with weeds and what looked like abandoned moss, which felt out of place. It seemed like the most effort the hotel put in was the gardening, and I couldn't understand why this particular area existed; it was a huge contrast.
Considering all meal costs are extra, it really didn't offer good value for money at all. The food, however, was very good, and the laundry service was a plus. All the staff members were friendly and welcoming.
If the room rates were lower, I might consider revisiting. But if the prices and facilities remain as they are, I won't be returning.

The part-timer (I assume) in the lounge was completely unenthusiastic, which really soured my experience. I just asked how to operate the dance machine, and it took me almost 10 minutes to figure it out? They clearly could have actively helped us, but instead chose to watch us struggle.
However, the owner was great, the front desk was excellent, and the staff at the hot springs were also very enthusiastic and helpful.

The room was huge, the facilities were great, and the staff were friendly. The location was very convenient, within walking distance and very close to the LRT, while the environment was quiet and peaceful. There were also small handicraft activities and a mini theatre available in the basement. I did not have the chance to visit the public hot spring, but the private hot spring included in the room was already more than sufficient.
I also loved the AI device for playing music and the smart home control panel for the lights and air-conditioning, which made everything very easy to manage. The room was clean and well maintained, and the overall stay felt very comfortable and relaxing.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay with great facilities and thoughtful in-room features. The view was around 7/10 โ not particularly spectacular as I stayed on a lower floor, but still decent as it felt open and unobstructed. I especially loved the hot spring, walk-in wardrobe, and dressing table with the large mirror.
It was also very suitable for a solo trip โ spacious, peaceful, and easy to enjoy at my own pace. Nonetheless, it is definitely suitable for all types of travellers.
(My family actually commented that it was too big for 1 person, but I was more than happy with it.)
Suggestion: It would be great to have a smart TV with YouTube or other streaming options, rather than only local channels.
Feedback: The smart control system panel also did not seem to sync properly with the AI control, as it did not respond after commands were given.
