"This place has its own dedicated parking, conveniently located right behind Xinzhou Ancient City, making it super easy to get around. Charging and fueling your car is a breeze. You can bring back anything you buy in the ancient city and enjoy it at your leisure in your room. The private hot spring in the courtyard was a great experience – perfect for soaking while munching on snacks and sipping tea. It even has a retractable roof with lights, so you can enjoy it at night too. The service was top-notch; they provided a pet gift package and a welcome gift, which our dog loved! The staff were incredibly responsive, charming, and generous. We'll definitely be back!"

For late-night snacks, they offer congee and pre-packaged snacks like Daliyuan mini breads and biscuits. The breakfast spread is quite comprehensive, though there aren't many hot dishes. The hotel staff are all very polite and provide excellent service, and they even gave me a small souvenir when I checked out. Overall, I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10."

"This hotel opened in 2025. The hotel building is three stories, and the hot spring building is also three stories. The second floor of the hotel features a spa massage area, while the third floor houses guest rooms and an outdoor hot spring. The hot spring building has a hot spring pool on the first floor and a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), restaurant, and playground on the second floor. I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, checked in, and then relaxed in my room. The hot spring admission is included with my stay. While the hot springs are in a separate building, they're very close, making them convenient to get to. After receiving my admission ticket, I entered the hot spring building. The hot spring facilities are spacious and very clean, with a well-equipped children's area. There are both indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the overall environment is truly wonderful. After enjoying the hot springs, I had a meal, rested for a while, and then enjoyed some fruit at the restaurant. I had a very relaxing and comfortable night. The next morning, after breakfast, I visited the hotel spa I had reserved the day before. The hotel's value for money was excellent, and the fact that I could enjoy a massage while taking in the beautiful scenery was my biggest draw."

Quiet in the middle of noisy, You can feel the fireworks of the ancient city, and you can completely isolate the noise when you return to the room. The comfort of the bedding is very good. "This trip was a complete and unexpected delight. My husband and I casually chose Xinzhou Ancient City from the map, not expecting much, because I thought all ancient cities were the same: quaint shops, sparse crowds, and touristy, commercially-run potato towers… However, this time, I truly fell in love with Xinzhou Ancient City. Our first stop was the guesthouse ”Peach Blossom Island. Jianghu.” The owner had sent us detailed directions and a list of times and locations for popular activities in the ancient city beforehand. Upon arrival, the owner and a friendly staff member were already waiting at the door, helping with parking and luggage. The interior was refreshingly decorated, giving off a feeling of ”entering Peach Blossom Island, filled with chivalry and loyalty!” Through the clean windows and tables, we could see the lush greenery of the inner corridor, a welcome respite from our cooped-up lives. A notice on the wall stated: if you are dissatisfied with the cleanliness or service, you can receive a pound of millet as a gift. 😁😁😁 I just want to say the owner is incredibly generous. After collecting our room key, we walked along the quietly flowing, intricately carved stone steps to our room. The ”green trees, red fish, and swimming turtles” along the way filled us with the joy of nature. Even the room names revealed the owner's chivalrous spirit and fondness for martial arts—Kongtong Sect, Huashan Sect, Wudang Sect… Snacks and fruit were already laid out in the room. The room was very clean, and the TV was a projector. We happened to be watching the Asian Cup U23 match that evening, and the projection was very clear; we could comfortably and clearly watch the movie from the bed. After settling in, my husband and I planned to explore the surrounding area. We were wondering where to go when the owner, seemingly noticing our hesitation, proactively came forward and introduced us to the brief history of the ancient city, the must-see spots, cultural and tourist attractions, and routes. With the owner's recommendations and warnings against pitfalls, my husband and I strolled around, enjoying delicious food along the way, and had a wonderful time. 😉 Xinzhou Ancient City is absolutely a perfect recommendation, but I won't elaborate further here. Because the return trip was quite long, I got up at 5 a.m. Before leaving, the owner even insisted on giving me a bag of millet weighing one pound. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (ps: Can I have a ton of this kind of owner?) After leaving, the owner messaged me saying he'd left his slippers at the store. I was thinking of just leaving them, but then I realized I really didn't want them, since I'd worn them for years and had an attachment to them. So I told him to help me send them back and I'd cover the shipping cost. Later, the owner sent the slippers back, but refused to charge for shipping. 🤗🤗🤗 All I want to say is ”Peach Blossom Island. Jianghu,” see you again in the Jianghu! 🥰🥰🥰"

"A stay that completely exceeded expectations ~ I haven't lived in a homestay for a long time since the epidemic. The impression of the homestay before was actually not very good, especially I felt that the management was chaotic and the health was worrying. This time I came to the ancient city of Zhangzhou and found that the homestay is a feature, so I will try again. I am very satisfied! The housekeeper docked before check-in. The service was very warm and thoughtful. There was a battery car to pick up and drop off at the intersection. In fact, there were few steps, but it was intimate. ~ The small courtyard environment is very good, it is a scenery in itself, there are cute kittens and rabbits and small fish, the children have a great time playing ~ The room is very clean, the hot spring pool is very deep, the water is super fast, the rose dried flowers are provided, and there are daily fruit snacks. It is suitable for enjoying the linen and toiletries while taking a bath. The selection standard is very high, especially the toiletries, usually there are balmains that can be seen in high-end five-star hotels. Very unexpected, the quality of the toothbrush is even better than the quality of the five-star hotel, and the disposable towel toilet cover wet toilet paper is also provided, which is very user-friendly and completely broke my inherent impression of the hotel. And the location is first-rate, go out is the snack street, you can go home and rest at any time when you are tired. I will choose here next time I come to play."

Hotels in Yunzhou District,Datong
Lanting Volcano Hot Spring Healing Resort Courtyard 📍Address: South of Zhonggaocun Village, Xiping Town, Yunzhou District, Datong City Hidden beneath the Datong Volcano Group, this private hot spring healing courtyard offers a serene escape from urban noise. With the mountain wilderness just beyond its doors, it is the perfect retreat for those seeking volcanic wonders and wellness relaxation. R1: "Thermal Pool" must be translated as bathing pool. The core feature of the homestay is the private, independent thermal bathing pool with direct access from every room. The hot spring water originates from the geothermal rock layers of an ancient volcano, delivering natural, living water for 24-hour enjoyment without the need to share the pool, ensuring maximum privacy. The spring water is rich in rare minerals such as silicic acid, strontium, and lithium. Prolonged soaking soothes fatigue, nourishes the skin, leaving the body warm and radiant with smooth, delicate skin while naturally enhancing beauty and promoting health. The small courtyard is surrounded by serene farmland, offering tranquility and peace. A short walk or drive leads to the Datong Volcanic Group National Geopark, where you can closely explore over thirty intact volcanic cones, walk across lava landscapes, and capture breathtaking sunsets at Jinshan and Langwo Mountain. Along the way, you can also ascend Haotian Mountain to visit the millennia-old Haotian Temple, the only ancient temple in China situated within a volcanic crater. From the summit, you can overlook the magnificent expanse of the volcanic group, taking in both the geological wonders and the ancient cultural architecture in one breathtaking panorama.

"To be honest, this is the first time I have taken the initiative to write such a long evaluation, but as the first guest of Lanting Hot Spring B&B, there is really much to say about the experience. The following is my most true evaluation of feelings, it is never to delay 😂 On the evening of the 19th, I flew to Datong from Hangzhou. Because the plane was late, it was almost 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. I called the proprietress in advance and told the proprietress that the flight was late and needed to arrive late. The proprietress had been waiting for us at the hotel. Because the kitchen had not prepared meals after the opening, she specially asked someone to cook a bowl of hot instant noodles. Late at night a bowl of hot soup, the stomach warmed, the heart is also practical, that simple care than any welcome ceremony is real. It’s really not easy to take a taxi here. I have to do something the next day. The proprietress specially asked someone to drive us there. The red envelope was also confiscated. , I feel really embarrassed Focus on the weather in Datong. I came from Hangzhou. Hangzhou was really stuffy and hot in July. The body temperature felt fast at 40 degrees, and the body was always sticky. But as soon as I arrived in Datong on the evening of July 19, there was a dry cool breeze out of the airport, and I felt that the whole person was comfortable. At night, there was no window in the room, the wind wrapped in dry air and gently blown in, the cover was just right, and the air conditioner was not needed at all. I slept until dawn. In the morning, the skin is refreshing, and the hair is not as easy to oil as in Hangzhou. This dry summer night is really enjoyable for southerners. Let's talk about the room. The first feeling of pushing the door in is spacious, clean and comfortable. The overall decoration is the kind of simple log wind, the wall is warm white artistic paint, the floor is covered with light-colored wood brick, and it is not cold to step on barefoot. There are not many furniture, but everything is very textured - a big bed facing the floor-to-ceiling window, a rattan-made recliner by the window, a small coffee table next to it, a kettle and cups are placed in wooden trays, neat and neat. What surprised me most was that when the curtains were opened, I could see the quiet street view and the distant mountain shadow. The light came in during the day, and the whole room was warm. The bedding is made of cotton and hemp, it is very comfortable to sleep close to the body, the pillow is just soft and hard, it is also considered that I have stayed in so many hotels, and the experience is ranked in the top 10 😂 What I want to boast about most is the private soup in the room. The soup pool is embedded in a corner of the window. It is not big, just enough for two people to soak in side by side. When the water vapor is steaming, it has a special atmosphere. The boss was very sincere and told me directly that this was a real hot spring from the underground. A few kilometers next to it was a volcanic group. The water temperature was about 35 degrees, not hot or cold, and the whole person was loose from the shoulder to the sole of his feet when he soaked in. I soaked for about half an hour, and I could obviously feel that my skin was slippery. I was tired during the day and was soaked in hot water. The boss said that the water contained sulfur and metasilicate. After the soak, it was really transparent and I slept very heavily at night. And when you soak in the soup, you don't have to go out of the room, wear a bathrobe and walk two steps to get into the water, how long you want to soak for, this privacy and convenience is incomparable to the hotel's public pool. The decoration style of the whole homestay is also very unified. From the lobby to the corridor to the room, it is the kind of clean log with warm light, no fancy decoration, but every corner makes people feel comfortable and relaxed. The proprietress said that the design was her own eye, and it could be seen that it did take a lot of thought. The next morning, the proprietress came to ask if she slept well, talked a few words, and stuffed a small gift when she checked out. As the first guest, I was really a little drummed at first, but I found that the bedding was comfortable, hot water was sufficient, and soundproofed. I used my heart everywhere. If you are tired of the sticky summer in the south, want to find a quiet place to blow the dry wind, soak in real hot springs, it is worth a visit here. I am not dragging, this is the real feeling of the day from the 19th to the 20th. I wish the new store is getting better and better, I must try the dinner next time, hahahahaha"

The shower and toilet had a wooden door, and the sink was located outside with a small vanity mirror, making it very easy for everyone to use. The hotel is also very close to Daiwang Mansion, with many great restaurants nearby. The freshly prepared breakfast each morning was delicious. If we didn't go out in the afternoons, afternoon tea was provided. The environment was wonderful and very quiet. The service was outstanding, especially the front desk staff. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were all incredibly kind. Whenever we passed by, they would greet us. They were also very thoughtful, recommending local supermarkets and explaining everything in great detail. We really enjoyed the tea at afternoon tea, so we asked the front desk lady for a link to buy it. She was so nice and even gave us some, and then sent us the link the day after we checked out. They were truly incredibly attentive. When we first arrived, we were a bit early. The front desk gentleman greeted us at the entrance and directed us to parking, even sending us a video of the location. Once our room was ready, he also helped us bring up our luggage."

The hot spring hotel has been awesome. The room is very big, super clean and bright enough in areas like the bathroom. It is warm enough even in winter due to the underfloor heating,, so I have to turn off the room air con heating. The hotel front desk team is even more awesome. They are always ready to help with all kinds of queries and needs. When we were leaving, they even gave us a bottle of local vinegar as a gift. The hot spring is not located inside the hotel like the Japanese onsen. It is a couple of hundred meters away, but the hotel provided an electric buggy to ferry you to and fro. The hot spring area itself has a changing room, where you can out on the bathrobe before you step out in the open and into the hot spring. So even in winter, it is still manageable and you should not catch a cold. Some regular hot spring users even put on their down feather jacket over the bathrobe, and that surely is more effective. There are even security personnel at the hot spring to make sure there is help if you get into difficulties. Breakfast is also good. The hotel also uses the buggy to fetch you to a posh looking restaurant in the hotel vicinity. Food is good, and not too expensive. There is also a small retail outlet next to the restaurant. The prices there are very reasonable.

My friends and I love simple, bright, and fresh decor, which is why we ultimately booked this B&B on Ctrip. The pick-up and drop-off service was perfect for us non-driving independent travelers; the car took us to the entrance of the ancient town, and then the shuttle bus from the ancient town dropped us right at the hotel entrance. This was so much better than dragging our luggage through the ancient town like other tourists. Although the B&B isn't on the main street of the ancient town, it's a short walk from everywhere, which is very convenient, and it offers a quiet retreat from the bustle. The butler's service was incredibly thoughtful; they gave us a map of the ancient town and even explained how to explore and where to eat. Even though it's a renovated old house, the interior feels very modern, and the hygiene is excellent. They provide disposable bath towels, regular towels, toilet seat covers, and even bathtub liners. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with attentive service, definitely recommended.

We'll definitely be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend! This is an incredibly stylish private hot spring siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) guesthouse in Datong Ancient City – the Jinhuangqi Private Hot Spring Healing Guesthouse. The location is right within the ancient city, offering a quiet escape amidst the bustling area, making it very convenient for sightseeing. This hotel is located within the ancient city scenic area, close to an underground parking lot, and not far from Xiurong Academy. There's a bar nearby, which can be a bit noisy, but it didn't bother my sleep. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to check with the hotel in advance. Overall, I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10.

The room decor is very grand, and everything is clean and tidy. The 24-hour butler service covers all our needs. Since we were traveling with elderly people and children, there was a shuttle to the guesthouse and someone helped us with our luggage to the room. The hot spring needs about half an hour to prepare, so you can contact the butler in advance to arrange it. It was cozy and comfortable, and our whole family had a pleasant stay. Plus, the guesthouse is in the most 'chill' Southeast Township, which is great for exploring. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip. The only downsides were that the noodles at breakfast seemed to have been sitting for a long time and were a bit soggy without much chewiness. Also, there are quite a few steps between the living room, the downstairs bedroom, the tea room, and the hot tub area, so it might be something to consider if you have mobility issues.

Very pleasant trip, I have been on a business trip for more than ten years, and I have lived in domestic and foreign hotels and homestays. I like the feeling of Anyin. Every independent small courtyard has its own name, very nice ~ The location is excellent, just in the ancient city. There are many homestays in the ancient city, but many are very noisy. Some homestays are next door to restaurants, soot pollution and noise pollution. And Anyin is hidden in the world, quiet in the middle of noisy, a unique and independent room environment is very clean, there is a small garden at the door. My favorite thing about An Yin is the service. It's so kind. Every front desk staff sees you and greets you like an old friend. Especially a young handsome guy, forgot to ask the name, this handsome guy like Zhou Xuran, warm and sunny, the yard door lock is stuck and very enthusiastic to move the ladder to help me solve the problem, and also enthusiastically sent a gift when checking out. I really like this kind of friendly and natural atmosphere. 👍 I will stay here next time I come to Wutai Mountain. Just say a word, it is more convenient to go to Wutai Mountain to live in Zhangzhou. Wutaishan B&B is really not good. It is super convenient to charter a car here.

I stayed in the ”Ning” courtyard, a large king room. The courtyard was unique and tranquil. Next time, I'm definitely booking the ”Chong” courtyard! Even though it's a historic building hotel with no direct elevator access, the concierges Zhang Yikang and Zhao Kaihao were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They promptly helped with my luggage both upon arrival and departure, and I sincerely thank them for that!

This homestay is located on the east side of the ancient city of Datong. It is a relatively new area with a much smaller building density than the old area in the west. The building is very exquisite, many angles can be filmed, I especially like the porch. When we lived, we happened to encounter a small exhibition of Tangka. I can't think of Tangka and the tonality of the homestay itself. The room is very good, there is a small hall to eat and put things, the bedding in the bedroom is moved, and it is easy to sleep two adults and two children. Cleaning is very good. At check-in, the waiter will wipe the dirt on the wheel of the suitcase. You have to change slippers or wear socks directly into the room area. Smart toilets are also a plus. The fly in the ointment is that there seems to be a nightclub next to it? There are bass piercings in at around 11 o'clock.
