We stayed in Motel 6, Hollywood from 2 June to 6 June 2023. This hotel is only about 100 mts away from Hollywood Blvd and the famous Walk of Fame. It’s about 5-10 minutes' walk from a variety of attractions including Dolby Theatre, TCL Theatre, Hollywood Wax Museum and various other museums like Guinness Museum, Hollywood Museum, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Capitol Records Building, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Death Museum etc. Universal Studios Hollywood is 3 miles away. Reception staff was not at all polite and they just did their duty of checking-in. They were not helpful in any manner and once we understood their behavior, we just avoided them. In fact the guy was very rude. The reception area looked like a mediocre lodge and the property is not well maintained. However, room was clean and was provided with TV, mini refrigerator, telephone, tea/coffee maker, iron box and free Wi-Fi. Bathroom had essential toiletries. There were loud noises coming from the corridor, even at mid-night. Though bed was comfortable, sleep was not comfortable for the noises coming from outside. Breakfast is not provided, however, free tea/coffee and a microwave facility is provided in the ground floor. A vending machine for snacks and drinks is kept nearby. There are plenty of eateries and bars not far off in Hollywood Blvd. Housekeeping is very poor. We made some request, which was never attended. We could see bottles and waste kept near the elevator and in the corridor. Often took the staircase, as we need to wait long time for the very old and slow moving elevator. There is a self- operated coin laundry, but, it was the most expensive laundry during all my stays in US. They charged $5 for one trip of washing and drying, whereas it was $3 in all other hotels. Metro station is only about 10 minutes walking distance. The street from Hollywood Blvd to the motel mostly look deserted and it is bit scary, especially in the evenings. You can find lot of drug ******* and homeless hanging around that area. Despite the price being high, I didn’t have high expectations of this place as Hollywood is expensive and you won’t get a good hotel for this price. However, that is not an excuse for rude behavior of staff and poor maintenance of the property. Overall, not happy with the stay and will never return.

I stayed 3 nights in a female room, beds in a capsule style, a spacious and quiet room, a big locker, and it covered my bag, common bag and jacket. In every floor they have a lounge with TV, microwave, freezer, coffee and tea. The location is excellent, close to the market, public transport and tourist points at 20 minutes walk. I love and recommend!

I booked in for 2 nights here as a solo female traveller. I had confirmation emails etc. as proof that I had booked a single room - I arrived at the hostel around 6.20pm on a Friday to find I had been placed in a large mixed dorm. The guy on the front desk was polite but totally unhelpful apparently under instruction from his manager. I offered to take any of the female dorms but was told all were sold out. I could not take the bed offered by them in the large mixed dorm, and they offered no like for like alternative. I was told that if i cancelled my stay/didn't check in I would lose my full amount paid as it was outside the cancellation period - they didn't grasp that within the cancellation period I was getting the room I booked, so it wasn't a cancellation on my behalf and was instead them not supplying what was purchased. I wasted so much time here to be offered no help while going through ********** customer support - I eventually gave up at 9:30pm when my employer forked out for a bed in another hotel for me. ********** were meant to get a full refund for me, as they failed to uphold their part of the sale, but 2.5 weeks later I've had or heard nothing from the hostel. To pay for something which is totally unavailable, with no budge room and no option for a refund, is a total scam. Do not book here as a solo female traveller as you will not be respected or safe.

The staff when I checked in was so nice and funny, and my roommate were so nice. The room actually clean and it made me feel like in college. I’ve made some friends there. And the location was very good. Walking distance to the beach and several restaurants and bars.

To be honest, I was nervous because there weren't many Korean reviews, but the price was so reasonable that I made a reservation. 70,000 won for 3 days and 2 nights is too cheap for a traveler without money haha.. Here is an honest review for Koreans! (Advantages) 1. Good price I made a reservation for about 36,000 won per night. About a month before departure I made a reservation through Trip.com, and when I checked on *******, the price was similar, but Trip.com was slightly cheaper due to the airline ticket-linked promotion. It was cheaper than a Korean motel (even though it was a shared room...) and there was no additional cost at all that I was worried about. It ends with the amount you reserved! It's so true. However, there is no additional charge if you bring your own lock/towel. Because I need it If you ask at the counter, they will probably lend you towels for $2 each. If you want to stay at Loomis Hostel, a padlocked towel is a must!!! 2. Excellent cleanliness Because of the price, I almost wanted to give up on cleanliness. The condition of the bed and bedding were all flawless. To be honest, I thought it would be a bit dirty, but it wasn't like that at all. Bathrooms are also really important, but there are so many bathrooms. There is no need to wait and the many restrooms are kept clean. I really liked it. I think the host is probably a bit sensitive to cleanliness. A cleaning person comes every morning and cleans each and every bathroom. They clean it.. For a hostel in this price range, the cleanliness is really good. It's great! 3. Convenience of transportation I'm a student traveler with no money, so I never call Uber wherever I go. I used public transportation. Bus stop (where you can go to Lax) There is one within 3-5 minutes. There is a subway station and a bus stop within a 15-minute walk (you can go to Hollywood), and the road is large and wide, so it's not dangerous and I think it's a great location to use public transportation. I travel around LA using buses and subways, and the cost of travel is less than $20 :) The map is so good that it's easy to find. I took a bus from LA Airport to the hostel, which took a little over an hour. 4. Other advantages - You can make foreign friends (As an extreme introvert, it was my first time traveling alone, so I felt a bit lonely, but I had one good friend who actively talked to me. There is a meeting place near the front desk and kitchen. If you feel lonely, go and join in the conversation. People from various cultures come together to create good synergy.) - Breakfast provided!! To poor me lol.. a ray of light… It makes no sense to even provide breakfast at this price.. There are 4 slices of bread per person, coffee, pancakes (I can't see anyone making them...), Nutella and peanut butter, etc. It's a good way to fill up your stomach! - It's not an advantage, but the tip is as mentioned above. Personal lock / Multiple personal towels depending on the number of days / Required.!! +I think it would be good to have a plastic bag to store things. + About a wet tissue..? I don’t know about anything else, but don’t forget your padlock towel ~~ (disadvantage) 1. I don’t have my own space(?) It's so obvious, but it's not just my room like a motel or hotel. There are bound to be some uncomfortable things. Guests sharing a room snore, Either they are people who do **, or they are active early in the morning and come in noisily... If you don't wash well or have sensitive senses of smell, hearing, etc., use a little more. It can be hard. (The person named ** came in on the last night of my stay. It was difficult because the smell was a bit unpleasant.. haha) Still, there is a screen for all the needles, so I use that. It's okay to use AirPods or earplugs! It’s a hostel!! 2. Luggage storage This is related to not having my own space. It is stored in a shared locker with a lock. For things like suitcases that are too bulky to fit, just store them anywhere in the room. I store it in the lobby, but honestly, even if there is a lock on the suitcase, I feel a little uneasy. Someone could take it away, and to be honest, you can just cut the lock off... A part-timer who works in the hostel lobby said that at first. Since there is no CCTV and it is a bit dangerous, the most important thing is that you have no choice but to manage your luggage thoroughly haha..! You really have to pay close attention and take good care of yourself!! Despite all these shortcomings, I strongly recommend it to student travelers like me who have no money or who want to travel cheaply. I think it's great enough for this price. I am 10000000% willing to visit again. As long as you are not too sensitive and take good care of yourself, it is a perfect accommodation with no accidents at all! Even though the room didn’t have a table and carpet, it had two chairs, a dresser, a queen bed, microwave oven, fridge, fan, and nice bathroom. To note also, you need to open and close the door if elevator manually, but it’s safe and not a beag deal. Bathroom has fluid soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the tubs that are easy to use. Overall, great experience we liked it so far.

My experience was very great! This was my first ever solo trip and my first stay at a hostel. The staff was very accommodating and the room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and I loved the amenities that you get with the room. For a cheap price you get a lot more than just a dorm. You get things like a outdoor common area, a very nice kitchen, indoor common areas and sometimes events like comedy night, and a free breakfast every morning. This hostel is in a really good location for the area. It’s not too far from the beach and the pier and you’re very close to the public transportation. I met some really cool people at this place traveling from all over and we all hung out and had a good time.

After losing my wife. I needed to come to Folsom to visit son. Several years ago my wife and i stayed here. I remember the awesome experience then. And happy to say that lake nataoma. Is still awesome. Everyone from Ashley Osborne At the front desk. To the most wonderful Yatziri in the restaurant. I felt as though they went above and beyond. With greeting me and made my time of sadness. A bright spot of my stay. Thank you to the housekeeping staff and maintenance staff. I hope to return to Folsom soon and would love to be back at lake nataoma.

This hostel is CLASSY just as the name implies. The living space is huge, clean and awesome and filled with amenities like desks to work at with USB ports, sofas, benches, pool table, multiple TVs, etc. The kitchen is complete with FREEZER too (I was able to enjoy ice cream during my 5 night stay). I met a lot of cool people during my 5 night stay. There was coffee either always made or you can make a batch easily since all supplies were provided. The place was VERY bike friendly - I was able to leave my bike each night and not have to worry about it getting stolen from the outside. Bathrooms and the whole place is kept very clean. Staff is helpful and does a great job in maintaining the place. Carlos was particularly great - he shared a lot of empandas with me - he was very friendly. Fresh towels always available. The sleeping quarters were comfortable, spacious, quiet, etc ... This place is a secret gem - an awesome find. Con: When walking from the trolley station (2 blocks away) you do have to walk by some homeless people. Just be prepared for this. Con: Coffee creamer provided is french vanilla - it messed up the taste of coffee for me. I wish they provided original creamer (no flavor).

The room was very old, the beds super uncomfortable you can feel the springs on your back, really couldn't sleep comfortably there and i still have a lot of back pain, when hotel beds supposed to be the most comfortable beds, also you can hear all kind of noices like floor cracking whe you are walking inside the room, voices, coughing etc. From other rooms and also bathroom faucet and from the upstair rooms too, the people walking, running, and talking in the hallway, I heard the 10 time sneezing of the guy upstairs. And that's not it, I had a cockroach in my bathtub that I had to chase and get rid of it, the towels stinks like grease or dry oil clothes, disgusting and the change your towels every 3 days (bc is eco-friendly 🙄). And the worst thing, they include ”breakfast” in the reservation like a big thing but NO!!, the only thing you can have there for breakfast is the waffle iron, and JUST ONE little syrup container (1 regular and 1 sugar free), one for everybody, no eggs, no bacon or sausage, no yogurt, no tiny cereal boxes like all other hotels, no bread or bagel, no cream cheese, no milk little containers just one thermos with milk, not very clean in my opinion, NO FRUIT just a couple of bananas, and when I say couple i mean it. Coffee was super bad, literally crap, and for me is the first thing I like to drink when I wake up ”a very good cup of coffee”. Very disappointed with Trip Advisor that recomends this super old hotel as a good staying place and a hotel with service like this should be super cheap. First and last time i follow TripAdvisor suggestions. The pictures in the hotel's profile are not of the same hotel.

My experience was very great! This was my first ever solo trip and my first stay at a hostel. Parking was $20 per night, not $10 as advertised. Other than that, our stay at the hotel was quite enjoyable, our room was very spacious, it was clean and there was an abundance of amenities.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The biggest problem with this motel is the parking. There are a limited number of parking spots for guests of the motel. The staff failed to mention that it is PUBLIC parking not private parking for The Royal Pagoda Motel guest. Meaning anyone can park there, when ever they want, as long as they want. When booking a room I brought up the concern of the limited parking. The motel employee I spoke to said there is more parking on the side. I thought they meant on the side of the motel, another parking lot or garage. NOPE! He meant against the side of the main building of the motel with the very small parking lot. Nearby Chinatown has a very active night life so forget about parking in the street. If you leave for the evening and return later that night here is what they do when there is absolutely no legal parking. They will have you park against the side of the building or have you double park or triple park. Basically they will fill up the driveway of the parking lot blocking other cars in. A motel employee will ask for your room number and phone number. They will call you to move your car if you are blocking someone who needs to get their car out. Yes even at 2 a.m. when you are asleep. Myself and a few other guests of the motel had to move our cars for a non-guest of the motel. I asked the employee who called me to move my car how this person got an actual spot and he said he had no idea. While moving our cars the employee was trying to direct the non-guest out of the parking lot I witnessed a hit and run. The non-guest backed into a parked car in the motel parking lot. That driver and the motel employee acted like nothing had happened. At this point there was finally street parking. I felt my car would be safer parked out on the street a block away from the motel. And the other motel guests who had to move their cars were fighting for whatever space was available in the motel parking lot. Another thing is that the rooms are very small and this motel is old. Several electrical outlets in my room did not work. I could not plug in my phone or laptop chargers. Plus the parties in the Chinatown may end at a certain time but that doesn’t stop people from coming into the motel to keep the party going.

Horrible, disgusting, and the staff don’t care. 1) room smells disgusting 2) small restroom/ showers you share with everyone in the building witch are very dirty 3) the sheets inside my room had a big yellow brown sheet all in the center 4) the staff do not care, the staff was lazy completely ignored my concerns 5) they do not give you a refund ! I am extremely disappointed that I spend my money on such a nasty room Do not recommend anyone to stay here. This is how my room was when I opened it

Great stay for the night as had a morning flight the next day. Provided a comfy room and spacious and great sleep for the night and early morning leave. Easy to find and so close to where you need to go around LAX. A must stop if you need to be close and great rates.

The hotel is very good quality/price ratio. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. The staff must remove the door at the entrance so that we can access the hotel and the service is extremely fast. Dry for the hair available for borrowing at the reception. Comfortable and very clean room. Draps and towels changed every day. Wifi effective. The negative point is that there is no heating in the room so it can be fresh and wet. I recommend!!

Extremely good value. Despite being on a busy road, our stay was relatively quiet. For light sleepers, they do provide earplugs by the bed. Parking was free, but I imagine it fills up quickly. We came on a weeknight and were lucky to get a spot. Staff was also very friendly. The location was great - a 15 minute walk to most tourist attractions. Area felt safe, even at night. Only complaint was that the breakfast was lacking, but for the price I would definitely stay again.

The Hotel is older, but right on the Wharf neighborhood, and a store across the street for small items in a pinch/hurry. It has a quaint, community feel to it that is lacking in the more modern places. Many attractions, restaurants, and interesting shopping opportunities lie within just a few minutes walking time. Before the trip, I asked the hotel to provide me a high room that was quiet. They accommodated me in that request, as well as several others throughout my stay in a friendly, prompt fashion. Staff even went so far as to reserve parking spots for me at the very front of the hotel (I am disabled), worked with the disability scooter rental people to make sure my scooter was delivered to the hotel and kept in the office safely until my arrival - as well as to print out my boarding passes for the flight home along with an address label for a USPS package to be mailed! That was especially a great service, since when the mailman didnt come the next day, the Manager, Jake, took it upon himself to take my package to the Post Office to mail - and refused my offer of payment for that service. I am really looking forward to convincing my husband to take me there again soon! ;D

The location is fantastic, just a corner to Union Square. The subway came out to the hotel soon. It's easy to go anywhere. A few nights back on the subway also felt quite safe.

Orange Village Hostel is all around a good hostel which offers the basic amenities one would expect. They have a kitchen which is decently equipped, a washing room with 4 washing machines and 4 dryers (coin operated), and a lounge area. personally I did not feel that the hostel was a ”hangout” area, but more of a place to rest. The rooms are clean and come with cages under the beds which can be locked with a padlock, very convenient. There are no private bathrooms, only shared bathrooms and showers in the hallways. The hostel is situated in the area of downtown San Francisco which is prone to homelessness, but I did not experience this as an issue at all. It is close to many popular tourist spots. All in all this is a good and affordable place to sleep and recover after exploring the city of San Francisco.

Good place to stay in general, staff are very nice, rooms are clean though the room I was in had several Broken appliances and didn’t have a microwave as mentioned but other than that no complaints. It’s a safe neighborhood, a bit out the way but near to lots of different types of stores including Walgreens a block away.

The location is good. There are two supermarkets in the center of Los Angeles. You can buy ingredients to cook in the kitchen. The hostel provides cups, Yantai and microwave ovens. The 6-person room is a bit crowded. There is a refrigerator in the room. There are two bathrooms on each floor. The shower water is also quite hot. The downside is that the police car sometimes makes loud noises at night, and the surrounding homeless people talk loudly, which can easily affect poor sleep. People, if they only live for a short time, it's okay.

This hostel is CLASSY just as the name implies. The living space is huge, clean and awesome and filled with amenities like desks to work at with USB ports, sofas, benches, pool table, multiple TVs, etc. The kitchen is complete with FREEZER too (I was able to enjoy ice cream during my 5 night stay). I met a lot of cool people during my 5 night stay. There was coffee either always made or you can make a batch easily since all supplies were provided. The place was VERY bike friendly - I was able to leave my bike each night and not have to worry about it getting stolen from the outside. Bathrooms and the whole place is kept very clean. Staff is helpful and does a great job in maintaining the place. Carlos was particularly great - he shared a lot of empandas with me - he was very friendly. Fresh towels always available. The sleeping quarters were comfortable, spacious, quiet, etc ... This place is a secret gem - an awesome find. Con: When walking from the trolley station (2 blocks away) you do have to walk by some homeless people. Just be prepared for this. Con: Coffee creamer provided is french vanilla - it messed up the taste of coffee for me. I wish they provided original creamer (no flavor).

The location is great, in the gaslamp quarter. About half an hour walk from the famous Balboa Park. It is not too far from the port of San Diego. Many bars and restaurants downstairs. Good is very convenient, and bad is very noisy at night. The choice for nightlife is right here. The music downstairs is a lot of Latin and there are street bands. Okay. The staff were very welcoming. Will organize a city tour. Breakfast is average, no milk. The decoration is very unique, the patio is very warm, but unfortunately there is no time to enjoy. Washing clothes one dollar at a time, drying one dollar. Would consider here if I return.

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was very clean. From the moment I entered the lobby I got a fresh clean floral aroma, I knew that was a good sign. The receptionist were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit older but they are well taken care of and clean. We will definitely be staying here again!

We stayed in the Gaslamp area for our anniversary went to Petco Park for the big concert and we had dinner out in the Gaslamp area and went to Seaport Village it was wonderful because everything was in walking distance

Go to the Santa Pe station for ten minutes and Little Italy for two minutes. Little Italy has a lot to eat, and it is only 15 minutes to walk to the gas street five-street bar street, which is especially convenient! Room Wi-Fi is not connected to the Internet, you have to go to the kitchen to charge the Internet.

Location was excellent for concert at Petco Park, took Uber and obviously was longer due to concert influx realized take a lime lite would have been faster. Walking expect 25-30 min and going up hill. Service was good at check -in , first night found roaches 🪳 under and around fridge area! Went to lobby for possible accommodations , encountered male fair skin and colored eyes, said they were from the weather (🙄) didn’t seem surprised to hear there were roaches in our room, asked if we can switch rooms- he said they were fully booked and didn’t have anything available which I didn’t even see him check. At this point couldn’t find room to check out for the weekend and left as is. Told cleaning lady that evening and she shared a roach spray to spray in infected area. We didn’t not feel comfortable in this environment and left our snacks and food in bags and placed luggage on our beds and desk to avoid roaches from getting in. Additionally had requested towels and when asked for 4 same lobbyist said 4 was pushing it and only handing two towels even though I had booked two double Queen rooms for 8 people!! Second room has stains on bed sheets and pillows, unsure what exactly it was but looked like blood. Friend got rash on arm and suspected bed bugs, checked sheets and luckily didn’t find any. Bathroom sink had broken handle that came off when lifted. Breakfast was good- early hours 7:30-8:30 , doors closed by 8:25 and you cannot take food out. But decent has French toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal and juices. Parking was small but have additional parking below , just have to walk around the corner.

Location was great even the room location was great, however, room smelled bad, I’m sure it was the carpet. Walls were disgusting dirty. Bathroom floor was gross. Hotel needs to get rid of carpeting or clean it often. Won’t be staying there again.

Hotel was quaint and quiet but also in need of a lot of upgrades. There was no outlet available where they had the microwave so I had to move it myself into the bathroom area to use it. At check-in I was told check-out time was noon but housekeeping was banging on the door at 11:30, telling me check-out was at 11 and very rude about it.

Viste le recensioni super negative scritte nelle settimane precedenti al mio arrivo, appena entrata nell’Hotel - forse meglio dire Motel - ho chiesto di vedere la camera prima di effettuare il check in (dopo averlo effettuato infatti ho letto non fosse più possibile non pagare la stanza prenotata in precedenza - tramite Booking nel mio caso). Il ragazzo alla reception, gentile, mi ha detto subito di sì ed ha smanettato al pc per 5 minuti buoni: a mio avviso mi è stata assegnata una camera diversa da quella iniziale. La camera è molto piccola, 2 valigie grandi + 2 trolley e lo spazio rimasto era poco. La foto sul sito è reale, la stanza è quella ma ovviamente pulita ed accessoriata, con uso di grand’ angolo. Vista la camera, era tendenzialmente pulita quindi abbiamo deciso di rimanere. Una volta sistemati abbiamo notato delle macchie sulle tende e sulle lenzuola. Io ho usato il sacco lenzuolo che mi porto sempre quando viaggio, mi sentivo più tranquilla. La tele non andava ed il ragazzo alla reception ha cortesemente sistemato il cavo e le impostazioni. Insonorizzazione inesistente sia per l’esterno che per le stanze adiacenti. Ci hanno fornito al check in la password del Wi-Fi. In camera abbiamo trovato un frigo (molto rumoroso subito staccato), un micronde ed una macchinetta del caffè, tutti non utilizzati da noi. Il bagno era fornito di asciugamani e mini kit per la doccia - bagnoschiuma, shampoo e anche balsamo. Non c’era però il phon. Il letto molto rumoroso, ad ogni movimento le molle del letto cigolavano. La struttura si trova vicino all’aeroporto e dista circa 15 minuti dal centro in macchina, per i più avventurosi si può andare in città anche a piedi. La vista è mozzafiato. Vicino ci sono Starbucks, McDonald’s e Dunkin Donuts, quindi anche se non c’è colazione ce la si cava. Il parcheggio è gratuito ma non custodito. In conclusione, per il prezzo - 50$ a testa a notte - per la città di San Diego, la posizione ed il parcheggio gratuito, se non si è molto schizzinosi, questo albergo va benissimo! Certo, non aspettatevi un’esperienza rilassante e silenziosa!
