Bed Friends Poshtel

Amphoe Mueang Chiang Rai
Stayed in room 208 for 4 nights. The check in process was straightforward with only admin being a signature and payment to be dealt with. I paid in cash, but you can also pay with a card for an extra 3%. Being a poshtel, the only shared parts were the common areas, kitchen and bathrooms. There were common areas by landing on each floor and these were really nice places just to chill out. I think there was also an attached restaurant or cafe but I never saw anyone in there and I never went in either. My room had a bed, a chair, AC and a fan. The mattress was very firm even by Asian standards. It was definitely firmer than I'm accustomed to and some people will find it rock hard. There is a small table, but it's more like a ledge so it's difficult to work on unless you have e.g. a small laptop. There’s an electrical point by the table, but the bed is located so far that the hostel has provided an extension cord. There's also a bin and laundry basket in your room. Staff will clean and tidy up your room every morning as well as providing a bottle of water every day of your stay. Otherwise, the room is quite small and you wouldn't want to spend your free time in there. My room was on the 2nd floor. There were three toilets and three showers. There was no trouble getting warm or hot water from the showers. The one shared kitchen was also on the second floor. This had a large table with eight chairs, a microwave, plates, utensils and free water. All of the common areas were cleaned regularly. Although the bathroom was generally very clean, some of the silicone had mould. Nothing scary though. There were two super fast computers near the kitchen. I'm sure these would’ve been useful 10 years ago when smartphones weren’t as ubiquitous. Location wise the hotel is about 10 minutes from the centre of town but everything else is close by including bars, restaurants, cafes and massage places. The night market and clock tower are about a 5 minute walk. Overall I had a fantastic stay, the front office and staff are friendly, and do a great job. The reception area has brochures for tourists and the front office can also arrange these for guests. The rooms do have a quirky design but nothing that would make you want to leave. The location is excellent with everything you need close by. I would happily stay here again or recommend it to anyone staying in Chiang Mai.

The owner is very attentive and very attentive. The cool clothes are very convenient. It is 12 minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes away from the troubles. There is a free drink and breakfast at 50 baht, which is very affordable. The only drawback is that the toilet ring is broken and not repaired in time, and the water leakage under the washbasin is not repaired.

Good accommodation with many types of rooms. There are only 3 en suite bathrooms. There are 4 private rooms in the shared water and a dorm room for 6 people. Below there is a cool cafe, sipping wine, eating delicious food. The restaurant has a very good atmosphere. The shop has music every Friday and Saturday. There is a private room To sit and talk or meeting The shop is decorated with only cool vintage items. There is a book hanging from the ceiling. It's a very beautiful design book.

It's a bit far from the center but a few blocks away there are some really fun night markets, the beds are cubical so it's perfect for sleeping without worrying about light or privacy and they even had pretty big lockers. Every day I saw the staff cleaning each room and bathroom so the place is pretty clean The woman who runs the place is super friendly and will tell you the best places to go each day if you ask her, every morning she'll make you eggs for breakfast (included) and she's always very friendly to everyone.

We stayed for 6 nights as a couple in the Hello Kitty room. The room was well decorated with a big comfy bed and clean towels and sheets daily. Breakfast is delivered to your room and the reception team helped us where possible with queries. It's only about a 10 minute moped drive to town, we hired ours from ”Nice Rental” in town and had a brand new bike and no problems at all.

It's more of a guesthouse than a hotel. When I arrived, the hallways and rooms had a strong smell of insecticide or detergent, so I had to ventilate them for a while. I don't know if that was just the day I checked in or if it's normal. There is a 7-Eleven on the first floor, and restaurants and cafes nearby, so it wasn't inconvenient.

I am very impressed with the accommodation and service. The accommodation is clean, although it is a hostel with shared bathrooms. But there are a lot of bathrooms to use and it is very clean. Good service staff, comfortable accommodation in the center of the city, convenient to travel. The price is not expensive too.

Near Big C with a short walk of 450m. The room is clean. The surrounding of the hotel mostly houses. The shower head 🚿 does not operating well. No lift at the hotel. We got a heavy luggage. So please request a lower ground floor before booking. overall good.

Stayed here for four nights while touring Chiang Rai and it was a good choice. Great location near city centre, friendly staff. Not far from main bus station and a decent night's sleep could also be had. Air con private room for us as the heat was strong during this time. Free tea and coffee in the communal kitchen. Snacks and biscuits too but they are not that great. There's a shared fridge although I had my own in the room with TV and decent bathroom. There is a meagre pool which a few people paddled in due to its low water but it's the wrong time of year to be fair. Tourist maps were free but quite useless to be honest, other info on the noticeboards was more helpful. Staff were attentive, polite and helpful too with friendly advice. I'd advise staying here. Plenty of young travellers use the dorms and communal lounge with a pool table, free WiFi etc. Older travellers will not be disappointed with the rooms. Khawp Khun krup!
