Hostel Deco, nestled in Kraków's heart, offers prime access to attractions. The spotless rooms and shared spaces impressed me. The staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing my stay. Modern facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and reliable Wi-Fi, met all my needs. For budget travelers seeking comfort and convenience, this hostel is a gem in Kraków's crown.
It was a bit difficult to find the hotel since it doesn't have a nameboard in front of the first entrance. You should definitely call the hotel before you go there because you can't enter the building without going through the locked gate. I actually didn't contact the hotel beforehand and couldn't even find the entrance when I arrived. I made a call and the clerk kindly came in front of the building to find me and guided me to the reception. She was so kind and helpful.
The room was good enough for a single short stay too.
Nestled in vibrant Kraków, Lorf Hostel&Coffee offers a cozy retreat for budget travelers. The spotless rooms and shared spaces impressed me. The staff were friendly and helpful. The on-site café serves great coffee and snacks. While basic, facilities met my needs. Perfect for those seeking a clean, centrally-located spot to explore Poland without breaking the bank.
This youth hostel is in good overall performance, cost-effective, reasonable price, very suitable for backpackers. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk to the castle attractions, and there is a bus stop directly downstairs to the salt mine, which is very convenient. The accommodation was in good sanitation and the bathroom was clean and tidy, although located outside the room, and comfortable to use. The breakfast was satisfactory, with hot tea, coffee and milk, providing a good start to the day. However, the fly in the ointment is that there is no water dispenser in the Youth Hostel, and you need to go to the convenience store downstairs to buy bottled water. The only unpleasant experience was that when I first arrived, the counter staff asked me to pay, but in fact, I had already completed the payment on the booking platform and took time to explain and verify. Overall, it is still a worthy choice of accommodation.
It was a very nice hostel.
The showers are shared, but there are 4 separate showers, so I'm glad I didn't care too much about other people. It was a beautiful room where you can see that you are cleaning every day. I liked the pictures and pictures everywhere.
The bed was giggling, but I think other hostels in the same price range are the same.
One thing I was worried about was that each bed had no place to charge. If you're lucky, you can use the bed next to the outlet, but I had to get off the bunk bed every time and go to charge.
Other than that, I think it was good.
Thank you.
Excellent price and quality ratio, for short stay. Location is good : 20 min to the train station, 25 min to the Bavel Castle on foot. Live in a two-bedroom room with amenities (shower, toilet + fan, TV, blackout curtains). The room and hostel was clean, the room cleaning on request. Important! : There is a luggage storage room before and after accommodation, there is a kitchen with dishes, refrigerator, chestnut, e.clite. Recommended.
Cheap room, 6 bed room, is a house that is divided into a hostel. I don't reset the floor all the time. I'm quite crowded. But it's cheap enough, forgive me. There is a convenience store next door, 20 minutes walk into town. Bathrooms are shared downstairs and upstairs. Just the overall score.
Let's start with address; difficult to find even people living there could not find it easily. The entrance is disguised by some lady selling various objects.(see photo)
You have to be mind reader to find your room and bed as receptionist doesn't move her ass to show, instead mentions the wrong door with a punch code(it is obvious that it happened before as the code is still on the punch pad). The correct pad is actually on the handle of the next door that you need magnifier to find it ,if it is your first time. Then writes down 1/1/1/ which is supposed to be 1st door,1st bed and 1st locker.
Skip this hostel if you are light and early sleeper as the tram line passes next door and it turns is quite curvy so the nise is quite annoying and happenes periodically. There is also noise from wooden floor and bed brames each time you move, Basically you have tiptoe to in order to make less noise. However, the major drawback is the bathroom cailities rather the lack of it only one bathroom for so many guests. I had to wait more than one hour and eventually gave up.
On the plus side, it has great location only few minutes to the old town centre. It also is quite clean.
For the price you pay which is about half the average hotel, next time I would definitely stay in a hotel. It is your choice.
Very warm room. The door is a little bit quiet. The windows super silence the sounds from the outside. In the summer there may be some burdensome street noises (trams). Located a few minutes walk on the main market and of course the whole Kazimierz.
I haven't lived such a great experience before! It was very nice. Awakening to the morning river view makes it feeling inside a story in a old man. You must try it! Also every hour there is free tea and coffee

Excellent stay in this hostel. Location is very good, right in front of the tram stop, a supermarket right next door, a few minutes walk to the old town and Buda Castle and amber choice of restaurants and cafes nearby. The hostel has been renovated and the amenities are with free use of the washing machine. Highly recommended to stay in this hostel.
GGuest UserCheck in was easy and quick with a friendly receptionist. They let us check in slightly earlier which was great. The room is basic, but is pretty much what I expected. One of the sheets had a large brown stain on, the cleaner was in the hallway so we asked her to change it and she did straight away which was good. We asked at reception later on that day (different receptionist) for another pillow as the one they supplied was super thin and was just told NO! Super rude! Was a 'little bit' far from the main square, however with Bolt being Really really cheap, just £2.50 to get into the main square we didnt mind at all. We were there 3 nights and the room wasn't cleaned or towels changed within that time. Breakfast was a sandwich from a local Deli, a biscuit, a yoghurt pot and an apple with a bottle of water, which you collected from reception. There was a kitchen at the end of the corridor where you could make tea and coffee, which they supplied free of charge. Over all definitely worth the money, would have liked an extra pillow, and perhaps one change of towel would have been nice.
The entrance was difficult to find. It was on the side, not the front. Because there was a lock on the building itself, there was no room key. Breakfast was included in the hotel rate, so it might be a good idea for those who have to leave early in the morning. (There was plenty of fruit available.) The lockers were quite large, enough for larger items like backpacks, but my suitcase for international travel definitely wouldn't fit. For some reason, the elevator didn't work, so I had to climb quite a few stairs while carrying my suitcase. The WiFi didn't work at all, which was extremely frustrating... It was also frustrating not being able to properly watch YouTube or TikTok at night. The toilet and bathroom were in the same room. The bathroom door could be securely closed, so the sink never flooded.

26mins walking distance from the bus station. 17mins if take tram or bus. Rooms are clean and toilet wash room also clean. Security wise is good from the stairs going into the room need door pass code and the common are and kitchen also need pass code. But, it's a bit too much. You need to put on bedsheets for your own bed and duvet and pillow case as well.
Cozy and warm, There are also nice restaurants and cafes nearby, and it is easy to get to other historic sites . The ceilings in the rooms are very high. Off course, staff is so kind! I recommend this hotel!
I was choosing between a room with 3 or 4 beds (there's a price difference, of course). I chose 3 because there was a third guest in question. They gave me a room with 2 beds. When I asked why 2 if I'd chosen a room with 3, they said, ”Well, you don't need 2.”
Super clean and located in a fantastic place! Staff was lovely, and the hostel had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Bed mattress was one of the most fluffiest, and I was able to sleep very well! I’d definitely pick here if I were to re-visit Kraków!
Lorf Hostel&Apartments: A hidden gem in the city's heart. Spotless rooms and common areas impressed me. Staff went above and beyond, offering local tips. The well-equipped kitchen and cozy lounge are perfect for socializing. Comfortable beds and secure lockers. Great value for money. Minor issue: thin walls. Overall, it is an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking comfort and convenience.
