"First off, I was traveling solo and found that most hotels and guesthouses were quite expensive, making it not worth it for just one person. I then stumbled upon this Sum hotel on Xiaohongshu, and it looked pretty clean and hygienic – which it truly was in reality!
¹**Location:** Right outside the hotel, there's a bus stop and a long-distance bus station, which is incredibly convenient for getting around. I used the public bus for all my transportation during my stay.
²**Environment:** The ground floor has a lobby with a kitchen, a restroom, and seating. I found it to be very clean, with no unpleasant odors. The room itself was standard, and the bathroom also had no weird smells. The shower area and where you change shoes are clearly separated, which is great.
³**Check-in & Amenities:** Check-in is only available in the afternoon, but it's a straightforward process. They'll clearly explain the rules and provide you with detailed key and password information. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and I thought it was pretty good – toast, eggs, and free coffee! Excellent!
The second floor is where the rooms are located. I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory with bunk beds. The bed frame was a bit old and creaked a little, but it wasn't overly exaggerated. One minor downside is that other guests' schedules might differ from yours, so you might get disturbed. It's even worse if you end up with a snorer! I'd recommend bringing an eye mask and earplugs.
The staff were all very enthusiastic. You need to change into slippers before entering the room; they provide them, but if you're a germaphobe, you might want to bring your own. The shower area is wet/dry separated. I didn't use their towels, so you might want to bring your own. The common area has a large mirror, and there are hair dryers and curling irons available, which is super convenient."

"Jeju bus terminal stop-beware of the separate blue and green bus stop so you wont missed your bus. Naver map and Tmoney help your journey around Jeju. Mr. Peter, himself, messaged me first through trip.com about the time I will be there at their place, which I was hesitant to do that but luckily, he did and that was surprising. Also, he let me leave my luggage in advance. Staff speaks English well and hospitable. As soon as you check in, staff will provide the stuff you needed for your stay in the room plus the indoor slipper to switch with your outdoor shoes to be placed in the closet at the entrance. NO elevator but the girl staff offered to carry my luggage to the room. There is an area in the 2nd floor for dining—designated place to eat—with microwave, water dispenser, dishes and utensils, fridge and freezer, you can cook and wash your dishes. There is a small area designated for reading/relaxing in the 3rd floor, where the entrance to the rooftop(to watch Hallasan sunset and for 8pm projector movie night). 2nd floor for male guests while 3rd fl for females. Sleeping room(is really for sleeping, no room to stretch only in your bed—is very comfortable with one outlet and a lamp) is separate from the shower area with slippers(washbasin/sink and enclosed shower stalls-body wash & shampoo) from the toilet stalls and from the powder/mirror area with hairdryer. If you have a small to medium luggage, you can store it under the bunkbed. There are lockers in every room (a normal school backpack could fit). Walking distance to Yongduam Rock to Yeongyon Bridge to boardwalk for coastal walks—great cafes to watch waves & landing planes and local resto—to Jungang Shopping Street to Jungang Underground Mall to Dongmun Market.
If you like mochi, next door of the Mir is delicious and affordable Jeju Mochi which is priced twice in the airport. Convenience stores (7-eleven next door), chicken&fries and local resto around the corner. Mr. Peter met him during the breakfast. He prepared the breakfast—egg sandwich which comes w/black coffee or orange juice. He is nice and approachable. The Mir Guesthouse’s is designed from the Yongduam Rock, it is cool, clean, and magnificent. Solo traveling is fun—meeting new faces, different nationalities, cultures, and witness the amazing nature’s wonder."

"The bed was very good and comfortable. The location is also very convenient in terms of transportation. I stayed alone but felt comfortable. The only downside was that there was no kettle or glasses. I had to get them myself from the table outside. Don't forget to bring your own glasses!"

"There is no breakfast, but there is a cafeteria opened by the boss himself. It is called ”night”. It is more cost-effective. It is also okay to bring children. From the occasional market, Tiandiyuan Waterfall, Xinyuanqiao are very close."

"Located right next to the Jeju Bus Terminal, the location is excellent, with many airport bus lines nearby. It's somewhat like a hostel; check-in is simple. Eating and smoking are not allowed in the rooms. There's a common dining area in the lobby with an electric kettle, basic tableware, and internet access. Free hot and cold water is provided. Check-out is straightforward; just leave the key at the front desk. The facilities are a bit basic. The bathroom light broke the next day; it was repaired in the morning and fixed in the afternoon. The refrigerator's temperature control switch was faulty and fell off, causing it to stop cooling for the first two days. After some troubleshooting, it finally worked. There were no sheets, only a mattress pad; is this typical for Korean hotels? "I hesitated a lot to go to the hotel or to go to Geha, but I chose Geha because I wanted to feel more Jeju. I just thought, the first time I entered Geha, this house would be as comfortable as my home. I came to a big house.
Shampoo rinse body wash and towels were all available and the bed was comfortable so I could rest well. There was a convenience store on the way to ~! There was also a bus to Hamdeok!"

"The women's dorm was nice! 4 bunk beds. The ladder for the top bunk was stable. Close to the bus stop and the seongsan port. Working AC, clean private bathroom, clean comfy beds, and the lady was very nice. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!"

Everything was clean, from the front desk to the room.
The back parking lot offers an ocean view, and the room offers a great view of the ocean as well.
The proximity to the ocean makes for a great walk, and there's a 24-hour convenience store just a three-minute walk away.

We really loved this hotel. Very close to the bus stop, so easy to get around. Also next door to the market which was very cool.
We didn’t like the light system for room and bathroom, we found it very inconvenient. Unfortunately our second night there the air conditioning unit stopped working. After trying everything it absolutely would not turn on again. We sent a message to trip.com but as it was after hours, we couldn’t get any real help. They offered to switch our rooms but then stopped communicating with us all together. In the end our room was 32 degrees. An unfortunate way to spend our last night on jeju :/

Location is quite good but need to be careful as there are 3 Shin Shin hotels very closed to each other. Room is clean and spacious but bed is not very comfortable for me. Appreciate that there is washing machine and fridge there. Car park was very small but we could park opposite the hotel, FOC. Overall, a nice stay!

I went to ICC Jeju for GCIM 2025 conference. This hotel is just 10 minutes walking distance from the ICC. The staff is very cooperative and kind. He can also speak English. The room service and cleaning fascilities are best 👍.

AihebingmeishidezhudantaThe hotel is about 500m from Dongmun Market, roughly a 10-minute walk. The room was small with a window facing the road, but it wasn't noisy at night as there was hardly any traffic. The decor felt a bit dated, like something from over a decade ago, but it was clean, which was a plus. Due to South Korea's environmental regulations, they don't provide disposable toothbrushes here (though other hotels I stayed at in Jeju did). There's a CU convenience store diagonally opposite downstairs. Overall, it was pretty good.

Anonymous UserMy first time reviewing a hotel, and it's definitely not a fake review! Overall, it's excellent and perfect for a solo trip.
The location is superb, right behind the Grand Hyatt and a 10-minute walk to Shilla Duty Free. The street behind it has tons of great food, including BBQ and BHC, all within a 4-5 minute walk. You really can't go wrong with any of the restaurants there, they're all delicious!
The room itself is spacious and clean. They don't offer daily housekeeping, but you can ask for amenities at the front desk and they'll provide them. The bathroom is completely odor-free, and the water pressure is fantastic for a comfortable shower. It's also very quiet at night; I could barely hear any noise from next door, just the crickets outside the window.
The only downside is that when you first enter the room, there's a distinct smell, a mix of smoke and mildew, hard to pinpoint, but you get used to it after a while. Self check-in is super convenient, by the way. The front desk staff doesn't speak Chinese, so you'll need a translator. I'd definitely stay here again next time!

Women only guesthouse. The sense of safety is worth the price.
It’s not difficult to list what it to be loved about the place. Comfortable bedding, luggage storage before and after check in if you have a late flight, relaxing space on the first floor, cleanliness.
The complimentary breakfast made by the staff is above standards. I’m so grateful to be able to taste seaweed clam soup and Korean rice, and making your own eggs. But there are also options of bread and butter, and cereal. Fresh coffee, tea and water are also provided.
At the end of the day it is a shared space and not always perfect in regards to noise, sometimes it can be noisy after 11pm. But the girls I stayed with were very nice and majority of times are open to chatting and communicating regards to lights out times.
There was an incident with one staff member in the morning who wore black headphones, pink loungewear and had dark glasses.
She was a bit rude regards to surroundings and almost hit me while opening the upper cupboard doors and fridge. Later, she was also disrespectful to another Chinese guest who wanted to ask a question at the front desk.
Aside from this I truly enjoyed my stay here in central Jeju, and found it very comfortable and had decent privacy with the curtains. The guests were overall very respectful and I had the pleasure to meet nice people.
I look forward to staying here again if I visit Jeju again.

Guest UserVery satisfied. The room was clean, and the TV's Disney projection had a complete library of movies. The Disney music in the lobby was a nice touch. On the first floor, there's hot water for instant noodles and a microwave. My only minor complaint is that when staying for several days, toiletries like toilet paper and lotion weren't always fully replenished; you could ask for them during the day, but there was no one on duty at night. The location is convenient, with Baojian Road nearby offering plenty of places to walk and eat. Day tours and duty-free shops are all readily available.
