"I chose this ryokan based on a few criteria: 1) I wanted a traditional ryokan, not a Western-style hotel; 2) it needed to be close to the station and Dotonbori for both shopping and nightlife; and 3) it had to be reasonably priced. Reasonable prices are generally hard to come by in Osaka, but this ryokan definitely won out in that category. I didn't opt for breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The room key is old-fashioned and heavy, and you have to hand it in every time you leave. A nice touch was the rice tea instead of standard tea bags. Overall, I was very satisfied."

"Had a great experience! It was really convenient to have the toilet and shower separate. There was absolutely no strange odor in either the room or the bathroom. The entryway light even turned on automatically, so you're not fumbling in the dark when you walk in. What's more, there's a washing machine! With the hot weather, clothes get sweaty after just one day, so being able to wash them anytime was super convenient!! The room and bedding were very clean. The only thing was quite a few stains on the floor, but I assume those are just accumulated marks from previous guests that are difficult to remove. As for the location, I personally found it excellent. Right outside the station, there's a huge supermarket. If you're trying to save money, you can buy dinner there and heat it up back in your room. The fridge is also a standard size for one person, with plenty of space for drinks. I hope I'll have the chance to stay here again next time. Thank you for your hospitality."

"This hotel had so many amenities and it was very spacious. You have a walk in kitchen and a designated area for your shoe storage and then the bathroom and shower are separate which is very convenient if you want to shower and someone else needs to do their business. They even have a second door that leads to the main bedroom and then a balcony as well. Biggest hotel room I’ve stayed at in Japan for such a great price. The hotel staff are helpful and it’s about a 8-12 minute walk from nearby train stations. There is also a family mart and Lawson outside. The room also has a washing machine, microwave, fridge and kettle along Edith kitchen stove gas top."

"The guesthouse's location is incredibly convenient. It's a 30-minute ride on the Nankai Airport Line to Tengachaya Station, followed by a straightforward 30-minute walk. Alternatively, the Yotsubashi Line's Hanazonocho Station is even closer, just under a 5-minute walk across the road and along Hanazonocho Hondori, offering direct access to Namba and Shinsaibashi. There's also Shin-Imamiya JR Station, which is a bit further, about 1.2 km or a 15-minute walk. Check-in was a breeze; upon arrival, you simply collect your keys from the mailbox in the room to the right of the main entrance. Daily trash disposal is easy – just take your rubbish downstairs to the large bin located to the left inside the gated area. The lobby provides handy supplies like trash bags, fresh towels, and toothbrushes. Room amenities are excellent and the space is ample, which is a big advantage of guesthouses over hotels. There's a microwave, pots, pans, and dishes, so you can buy groceries and prepare simple meals. A washing machine with detergent and a drying rack on the balcony are also provided. Before booking, I was quite concerned about the noise issues mentioned in other reviews, and I was a bit apprehensive before my trip. I was assigned a third-floor room not facing the train line, and while it was a lower floor, I had read reviews saying rooms on the opposite side were also noisy. However, my personal experience was that there was no sound at all. Even when trains passed, the noise wasn't significant, unless you're an extremely light sleeper who needs absolute quiet. Personally, I don't see it as an issue. For those like us, staying in a room on the opposite side, we didn't hear any track noise at all. Plus, the hotel offers direct views of Abeno Harukas and Tsutenkaku, both about a 30-minute walk away. I even went up to the 9th floor to catch the sunset. Overall, this guesthouse offers great value for money. While it's true there are some homeless people in the area to the right, it still feels very safe and doesn't affect your travel plans. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Osaka."

"I had a really pleasant stay at Osaka Ebisu Hotel! The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and public transportation.(Train station was just 3 mins walking distance) It was especially convenient for exploring Osaka, and there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, all the staff were friendly and helpful! Overall, it was a great choice for my trip to Osaka, especially for the convenient location and reasonable price. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Osaka! Highly recommended! ❤️"

"It was a 25-minute drive from the airport, and I only realized after arriving that it didn't have a hot spring. I purely didn't read the description carefully; when I booked, I saw the Japanese-style photos and assumed it would. The facilities are very basic. What I regret even more is that I added breakfast when checking in and was asked to pay immediately. I've never seen such a perfunctory meal; not only was the food simple, but it was also incredibly stale. Even the most basic rice seemed leftover from the day before, and the rice cooker was dirty. Their business practices felt very 'mainland Chinese' – they asked guests to post positive reviews online in exchange for a doll. In the end, even my child said it wasn't worth giving a good review and willingly gave up the doll. I'd recommend this place to travelers looking for accommodation within a 30-minute drive, but if you want to relax and properly enjoy the first or last day of your trip, you should probably skip this one."

"This hotel was well-located, not too far from the train station. The welcome was very pleasant, and the cleaning service left a bag of towels, trash bags, and toothbrushes every day. It's a shame the air conditioning smelled a bit, but otherwise, it's a 7.5/10."

"I was a bit worried since there weren't many reviews, but to my surprise, the bed, kitchen, and bathroom were all in great condition. Especially the bed – no need for dust mite spray! Although they don't clean every day, I stayed for 3 nights and didn't experience any inconvenience. It's a shame I forgot to take photos. It's a 3-minute walk from Ebisucho Station and Tsutenkaku is about 5 minutes away. Next to Tsutenkaku, there's a 24-hour pharmacy, or rather, a duty-free shop. I only went to Don Quijote for a look. There's also a supermarket just across the street, and convenience stores are a given. Surprisingly, Denden Town is also within walking distance! My sons each bought a figure, and for dinner, we went to 'Gogi Theatre,' a place popular with Koreans. The Korean-style flavors were mild, not too strong, and delicious. Ebisucho Station is just one stop from Nippombashi Station, so if you're traveling with middle or high schoolers like us, it's an affordable and comfortable place to stay. For families with young children, it might be more convenient to stay closer to Namba for easier transportation. Osaka really drains your energy! I was very satisfied with my stay. Oh, and the hotel's old name, 'Arashi,' was written in English in front, which was a bit confusing."
