The Gurkha Boutique Hotel (Jokhang Temple Barkhor Street Branch) is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Gurkha Boutique Hotel (Jokhang Temple Barkhor Street Branch) offers a pleasant stay in Lhasa for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 9km from Lasa Railway Station and 60km from Lhasa Gonggar International Airport. Keeping busy is easy, with Xiazha Courtyard, Shannan Minzhulin Temple and Potala Palace Square all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for groups of friends traveling together.

"I really loved the hotel's courtyard; its architecture has a very exotic feel. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, leisurely sipping a pot of sweet tea, was incredibly relaxing. It's a rare oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustling streets, perfect for unwinding. The rooftop cafe offers views of the Potala Palace, and guests can go up for free to visit and take photos. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Barkhor Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to Liukai Fruit Store after a taxi ride. It was very convenient to explore Barkhor Street on foot every day. The ******* noodles for breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty of fruit. Afternoon tea also included a complimentary pot of sweet tea. The room came with a nasal oxygen concentrator, which was a thoughtful touch. My only minor complaint, personally, was that the room felt a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. Because of this, I didn't spend much time in the room other than sleeping, preferring to relax in the courtyard. Finally, a big thank you to Ms. Zhaxi Lam for her thoughtful and heartwarming service."

Spring Festival Activity Preview As seasons change, warmth remains. This Horse Year Spring Festival, our Xizang and Han staff will join guests on New Year's Eve to make dumplings and *Guthuk* (Xizang's noodle soup), celebrating the arrival of the new year and sharing the warmth of reunion. Lobumtsang · Sanctuary Nestled in Xingfu Community, Chengguan District, Lhasa, Lobumtsang offers expansive views of the nearby Potala Palace. The name "Lobumtsang" originates from the owner’s Mi-nyag family heritage, meaning "Home Sheltered by the Divine Dragon." Legend has it that two centuries ago, this land was regarded as a dwelling of sacred dragons, where previous settlers met with misfortune. Yet, the owner’s grandfather settled here with his family, living in peace and prosperity—a tale cherished by locals ever since. Our boutique homestay blends authentic Xizang's style with Nepalese influences, equipped with high-quality amenities and heartfelt service. Each room is designed for comfort in all seasons, featuring a television, refrigerator, in-room safe, oxygen concentrator, humidifier, and premium brand bathroom essentials. Every piece of furniture is hand-painted by local artists with traditional Xizang's motifs, each carrying profound meanings and showcasing distinctive Xizang's artistry. Our team includes Xizang, Han, and Nepalese members, offering a diverse menu of Xizang, Chinese, Nepalese, and Western cuisine. The viewing restaurant not only overlooks the Potala Palace but also serves as a window into local daily life. At Lobumtsang, we welcome you with the warmth of home and the sincerity of Xizang, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay in Lhasa.

This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"A very unique and beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious with 24-hour underfloor heating (the temperature is adjustable, so you can adjust it to your comfort). The bathroom is also spacious with a separate wet and dry area (though it doesn't have underfloor heating, which is a minor drawback). The view from the rooms is the most beautiful part; you can take amazing photos just by sitting outside the room, far more beautiful than strolling through Barkhor Street. The traditional kitchen on the first floor also greatly exceeded my expectations. The food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch; it would be a popular restaurant even in a first-tier coastal city."

"At first, I came to the pictures in the comments. Indeed, the decoration style of the whole store is in line with our aesthetics. Several of us feel that we live very well. In the end, because of the people in the store, there is emotion here. The rooms are fully equipped with Marshall's stereo and Dyson's hair dryer, unexpectedly! ! The design of the public area is open and comfortable, and it is not a loss of privacy. Also prepared earplugs eye mask glucose brown sugar ginger tea, there is even a shelf special for love transmission, rubber bands, floss, warm stickers, and even saw disposable raincoats and feminine products! Very warm and intimate! The oxygen is very powerful. We feel comfortable living. We stayed for a few more days. It just happened to catch up with the blue sun activities they organized. Several young ladies at the hotel said that they learned crafts from other places, and then made free in-store activities when they went to work here to teach everyone. Like 👍 Seeing their circle of friends and Tibetan incense, incense cards, and woolen activities, they said that several chain stores in Lhasa sometimes also put movies, as well as reading clubs, concerts, and they also organized werewolf killings, chess and card games 🤩🤩 I hope I can catch up with this kind of activity next time. I feel like I can play in the store for a day, I don’t have to go out to play at all! ! ! (And the guides and travel suggestions made by the housekeepers are also particularly suitable. Go out without stepping on thunder, eating and eating deliciously, especially thank them!) The only downside is that there may be too many green plants in the yard, and sometimes small flying insects will fly in the room. If this problem can be solved, That can be called perfect! ! I will remember everyone, Xiao Wu, Afeng, Xiao Chen, shrimp... wait for me to come back!"

"I highly recommend the Dong Mawha Hotel! Its location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. The room was spotless, free of any strange odors, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The soundproofing was also fantastic. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and efficient with both check-in and check-out. The value for money here is simply amazing, I can't recommend it enough! The thoughtful details really stood out: a Kung Fu tea set, an instant hot water dispenser, a washer-dryer combo, a Dyson hairdryer, and they even provided a weighing scale and bathrobes. It made for a truly comfortable and hassle-free stay. I fell in love with this hotel after just one visit and have already recommended it to my friends. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip!"

"Absolutely loved this guesthouse! When I booked, there weren't many reviews, but I figured a new place couldn't be too bad, and I was so right—it exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, right next to the famous Taohuayun spot. It's a five-story building with its own courtyard and parking. The room was spacious, equipped with smart devices, a large TV, and a TOTO bathroom with excellent water pressure. The bedding was incredibly comfortable; it was the best night's sleep I had in Tibet. Unlike other hotels where it gets chilly in the early morning and you can't even keep your arms outside the covers, this place was perfect. They even have diffused oxygen, which brought my blood oxygen levels right up to 98, and the room felt comfortably humid. The view from the fifth-floor restaurant is stunning! The steam pot chicken at the restaurant, while a bit pricey for two and more than we could finish, was totally worth it—we ended up packing the leftovers. The rice cakes for breakfast were absolutely delicious. What truly stood out was seeing Mount Namcha Barwa and the 'sunlit golden mountain' phenomenon! I took tons of photos at the guesthouse's own camp, which has a small pond and barley fields – perfect for stunning shots. I even went down to take more pictures in the middle of dinner. All the staff at the guesthouse were wonderful. Highly recommend it!"

The mats and pillows in the room were latex I like. It was really comfortable to live. Because there is no way to have a trip, so I can live for three days. If I have time, I want to live for a few days. I will definitely stay at his house next time. It is a very clean and comfortable small courtyard. I can lie on the bed in the single room on the second floor and take a nap while looking at the blue sky and white clouds in the afternoon. In the evening, I can go out for a bite to eat and a walk. At night, I return to the inn to chat with some friends from all over the world and have a drink quietly. I come out just to relax for a while and then return to real life to continue working hard.

As soon as I entered the door, the young lady at the front desk enthusiastically presented Hada. Many wooden furniture in the room were very warm and tuned. The roof could see the Potala Palace. Although there was no breakfast, there were many snacks in the room. It was also cheap and affordable to return home with milk slices and barley at your own expense. I found it delicious when I returned home. Let Miss Sister help send it again, hahahaha

Love the overall vibe of this place (I upgraded my room to Mountain View later on and it’s so good). There is also some sound-proof mechanism in the room and I was able to sleep so well ! (much better than when I was in Lhasa despite the increase in altitude). I was able to have great sleep and naps that prepped me very well for the day’s exploration and hiking. Now I know when I visit here again, there is a very comfortable place to stay (am planning to invite friends from Singapore over next year ::) Huge kudos to Mr Doje for bringing this place into existence in the Himalayas and organizing stargazing event every night. The night sky. What a wonder. I’m grateful to be here. p.s. Mr Doje is also super welcoming and helped me sorted out many stuff (like contacting ppl to find my traveling pillow & headset that I lost while moving around). Super amazing guy. p.s. 多吉先生也非常热情,帮我解决了很多事情(打了很多电话帮找我在旅途中丢失了的枕头和耳机)。Super amazing guy.
