"I wholeheartedly recommend this desert hotel, it's perfect for family trips! The experience was truly outstanding.
The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location is superb, right on the edge of the vast desert. In the afternoons, we could easily climb sand dunes and watch the sunset. My kids spent every day playing happily in the sand, they didn't want to leave.
After checking in, the hotel added us to an exclusive WeChat group, which made it super convenient for daily inquiries and requests. I have to specifically praise their heartwarming service: I accidentally lost my DJI Pocket 3 while out and about. I was already disheartened and about to give up, but I decided to ask in the group. To my surprise, someone had found it quickly! The staff immediately secured it and personally delivered it to me. The joy of getting it back was indescribable. Their honesty and efficiency were truly commendable, giving us a complete sense of security.
The restaurant's food exceeded our expectations; the home-style dishes were perfectly to our taste. My child specifically asked for stir-fried tomato and eggs for two consecutive days, and finished every single bite, leaving no leftovers. The hotel offers a wide range of desert activities. We tried the Bombardier ATV, and the slight sensation of weightlessness was just right – thrilling yet fun. The various desert recreational activities kept us busy and content throughout our stay.
Everything, from the environment, dining, and activities to the attentive service, was impeccable."

"It's convenient to park if you're driving here, making it perfect for an overnight stop. The tent was nice and cool at night, and the shared bathrooms were spotless, with individual stalls so you never had to queue. All the disposable toiletries were provided. During the day, we had a blast dune bashing and sandboarding. In the evening, the bonfire and fireworks created a fantastic atmosphere. The staff were really enthusiastic and even recommended some lesser-known spots for photos in the dunes. This desert getaway offers excellent value for money."

"This trip to Ningxia, I specifically came to experience the winery culture, and this winery guesthouse I chose felt pretty good. The butler even arranged a tasting event, allowing us to deeply explore wine culture. It's truly pleasant at the foot of Helan Mountain in the summer.
Winery Tour · Wine Tasting: There were professionals explaining the wine production process, then they taught us how to blend wine hands-on, and we also learned about wine tasting. It was a really great experience.
A bottle of Xiaohuanxi Rosé (375ml): A complimentary bottle of rosé was provided in the room, which we opened and drank that evening. It had a nice flavor."

"My stay at Nanxi Bieyuan Hedong Airport branch was fantastic! It's super close to the airport, which made getting around incredibly convenient – no stress at all for an early morning flight. The room was clean and tidy, cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The bedding was soft, ensuring a great night's sleep. The owner was really welcoming and attentive, quick to respond to any requests. The overall environment was quiet and peaceful. For just over 200, it's excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I'm passing through, and I truly recommend it to anyone needing a layover!"

"Came to the desert in April and had an absolutely amazing experience! All the activities were open and available, and the temperature was perfect – not too hot, not too cold. The Sand Dream Hotel was very clean, and the bedding was super comfortable, making for a really relaxing stay. The room facilities were brand new. What really stood out was the placement of the rooms: one side faced the desert sunset, and the other faced the sand sea. It truly offered unbeatable views, making it feel like you were living *within* the scenery, not just on its edge. This unique vantage point is something only this hotel in the entire scenic area offers. Plus, desert research and stargazing activities were included, and ordering food was quite affordable. The staff were always available when called, and their service attitude was very friendly. Next time I bring friends, I'll definitely stay at Sand Dream again."

"The hotel is located in the East Lake Grassland Resort within the Tengger Desert. Upon arriving at the resort's parking lot, the hotel's off-road vehicle transported us to the hotel situated in the desert.
The hotel owner and the reception staff were very welcoming, and the bonfire party was excellent. Sandboarding and hiking in the desert were both a lot of fun. The hotel also had a fountain show in the evening.
We booked a tent, and it was quite cold in the desert at night, but the beds had electric blankets and the quilts were very thick, so we didn't feel cold while sleeping. Make sure to zip up the tent completely at night, otherwise, cold air and mosquitoes will get in.
The public restrooms and showers were spacious and clean. However, if you shower in the public bathroom and walk back to your tent in flip-flops, your feet will get covered in sand. I suggest the hotel owner place some benches at the entrance of the public bathrooms to allow guests to dry their feet before putting on sneakers to walk back to their tents.
The hotel's restaurant offered good value for money, and the portion sizes were generous, making dinner very convenient. The breakfast had a good variety, and the beef buns and small dishes were delicious.
The activities at the scenic area are all offered as package deals, and individual activities cannot be purchased separately. However, you can hike from the desert to the activity center to try your luck. I felt that the duration and distance of the activities were too short, so I didn't participate.
Hiking in the desert was very interesting, and it wasn't hot in autumn. Walking along the tops of the sand dunes for several kilometers was a great way to experience the desert scenery."

Staying at the staggered peak to enjoy the whole desert secret, waiting for the sunset to shine soft light on the sky in the evening, the sand dunes were dyed orange by the sunset. At night, the bonfire was burning, the fireworks were blooming, and the vast galaxy was looking up. It was really shocking to see the stars with the naked eye! The room is clean and comfortable. It is rare to have such perfect facilities in the desert. The children directly let go of themselves to play in the sand and don't want to leave. The staff is intimate and thoughtful, and the whole experience is full! Come to Zhongwei Tengri's first choice, will come again next time!"

The LOSTVILLA(Zhongwei Yellow River Dormitory) is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Zhongwei. The hotel is located approximately 21km from Shapotou Railway Station and 32km from Zhongwei Shapotou Airport. This hotel is located near many of Zhongwei's attractions including White Horse Pulling Rein, Shapotou Scenic Area - Desert Sky Ladder and Changle Town, Dawan Village. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.
"The hotel's exterior aesthetic is definitely on point, and the small decor outside each room is perfect for photos. You can easily spend half a day exploring the surrounding farms and the Ming Great Wall. The entire Yellow River Homestay complex also offers a good variety of businesses.
However, the interior of the room was quite disappointing. While they claim the dim lighting is for stargazing, I personally don't believe a vanity light would significantly impact the night sky. The dim lighting coupled with the square room shape, to put it nicely, made it feel a bit like a creepy escape room. You couldn't even see your face clearly in the mirror, and I imagine children would be quite scared.
The cleanliness was also subpar. The air conditioner panel was covered in a layer of grime, making the numbers illegible. There were two giant millipedes in the bathtub, which no one seemed to care about. They said they crawled up from the drain, but isn't blocking drains standard procedure for hotels now?
One of the bedside lamps was broken, the desk lamp switch had fallen onto the floor, and the TV power cord wasn't plugged in. It felt like they expected guests to discover all these issues themselves.
They also forgot to send the evening dessert. The explanation was that we checked in too late, past the designated time. However, during check-in, we clearly heard them asking other guests if they wanted evening milk. (Though, I'm lactose intolerant and don't drink milk anyway, and they did compensate by sending coffee promptly the next day).
Furthermore, when guests raised issues, the hotel staff always tried to defend themselves first instead of readily admitting to problems. Their customer complaint handling definitely needs improvement."

With the high temperatures in Suzhou and Hangzhou, this is a great escape to the heat in the northwest, featuring a lovely guesthouse village. Nan'an is the largest guesthouse complex in the area, with 40 rooms out of a total of 100. This time, we stayed at Taojiaying West House, with a swimming pool in front and a farm/ranch/ranch in the back – very pleasant. The room details were also very well done, suitable for large families or groups of friends.
Both restaurants in the village are good for breakfast: 🌻Xiangke (more variety),
🍜Lao Wang Ji Breakfast & Midnight Canteen. Special praise to Nan'an's management team, including Da Yuan and her group; they communicated with us before our arrival and were very attentive. During our stay, our drone got stuck in a tree in the yard, and the management team helped us find a solution from evening until morning, finally fixing it with a tree trunk over ten meters long.
- Climb the Great Wall (five-minute climb to the top) for panoramic views of the Yellow River and the village.
- Feeding lambs, riding camels, milking goats.
I call it the Yellow River version of ”Wuzhen Village”; the entire village has an integrated design with a Mediterranean feel, perfect for photos.

Guest UserA very artistic homestay with a very tasteful decoration style. Every decoration is just right, and even the breakfast is so exquisite. There were only two breakfasts originally, but we brought children with us, so the boss made a special breakfast for children, which was so thoughtful! There is also a beautiful souvenir. Although it was opened in 2018, the whole homestay does not seem to be old, and it is still as new. It is a great experience. I recommend it to friends!

Before I went, I looked at the pictures very beautiful. Because of temporary overtime, it was dark at the hotel and missed the sunset, but I was shocked by the warm lights and stars of the hotel. It was really like a fairy tale cabin! ! The toiletries in the room also smelled good lavender! Although I can’t pick grapes in winter, there is no bonfire. The weather is a bit cold, but it’s worthwhile to see this beautiful starry sky. I also met our Dali fellow sister here. It’s really not easy to meet fellows in Yinchuan. I hope I have the opportunity to find you again in the future! My friend also gave a ”northwest is much more fun than the northeast” evaluation. Overall, the experience is very good. The room is very beautiful and warm. The hot red wine is very delicious. The breakfast is exquisite and delicious. I look forward to picking grapes in summer and autumn! !

Guest UserWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this family run guesthouse. There is a lovely courtyard where you can relax and meet other guests. The breakfast was delicious. The decorations around the property are beautiful. The room was large, clean and well equipped.
Our lovely host helped organise our taxi to the forest park, as well as our onward bus journey to Pingliang.
We highly recommend this homestay.
