"Specifically brought the kids here for Children's Day. The guesthouse environment is great, with a starry sky yurt and convenient parking. They even prepared snacks and drinks in the room. The surrounding area is beautiful and very close to the volcano attractions. The hotel also provided discount vouchers for hot spring tickets. Dining is convenient, and breakfast is excellent, with kids' meals available. On weekend evenings, they even arranged a bonfire and fireworks."

"Choosing Shan Yin Qi Zhu was absolutely the right decision for our family trip to Ulan Hada! The room was spacious and bright, plenty of room for my three-year-old to run and play. There's also an enclosed small courtyard where he immediately started playing freely, so we didn't have to constantly watch him. The owner even gave free fireworks to the kids, and my son played so much he didn't want to come back inside. The breakfast, with its buns and millet porridge, was light and perfect for my child's taste. The owner also gave us some homemade, additive-free milk candy, which my son clutched and ate the whole way. It’s only about a twenty-minute drive to the volcano, and the owner even recommended a less crowded, gentle slope route, which made climbing with a child totally manageable. Our whole family had a fantastic time, I highly recommend this place for families with kids!"

"There are many B&Bs around the volcano. I thought this one has three stores and is relatively large, so I decided to stay at this one. We were upgraded to a starry sky room. The room was very big, with two double beds, and it was cleaned very well. The bedding and towels should all be washed together, very new and clean ~ But the horse-riding sculpture outside the window looks a bit scary 😅 It was still very cold during the May Day holiday. I turned on the air conditioner and covered myself with a quilt at night. The quilt was quite thick. The bathroom is still quite cold. But there is nothing we can do about it. At night, I caught someone setting off firecrackers after 10 o'clock. It was right next to the house. It was very noisy. There should be regulations on the area and time for setting off firecrackers. It is not very friendly to the baby's sleep. I hope it will be improved~"

"The room was exceptionally clean, and it had everything you needed, including air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi. During the May Day holiday, it wasn't cold at all when we stayed in the yurt at night. The owner even lit a bonfire in the evening and gave the kids a sparkler, which they had a great time with. Behind the guesthouse was a large meadow and a small hill, with a volcano visible in the distance. If you set off early the next morning to go to the volcano, you won't have to queue. I highly recommend staying here if you're going to visit the volcano!"

"The B&B is located in the B&B Village near the north exit of the Volcano Park. It's very convenient to reach after touring the area. The courtyard is filled with beautiful geraniums in full bloom. The owner and his wife were very warm and friendly, making us feel like home after a long journey. We booked a family cabin on the second floor and were pleasantly surprised. The child's bed was placed against the wall to prevent them from falling, a very thoughtful touch. The room was also very clean. The children had a blast playing on the second-floor terrace, and the adults were also very relaxed and comfortable. The overall experience was a perfect score!"

"I was initially in a dilemma about whether to stay here or not, but looking back, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip! After carefully planning the journey, getting there was actually quite straightforward. For those coming from Hohhot, here's the route I took: 1. Take a train from Hohhot to Dalate West Station. 2. Take a Didi from Dalate West Station to Huailian Tourism Resort Reception Center (about 40 minutes, around CNY50). 3. Purchase rm176 of the Whistling Dune Bay package ticket, which includes admission, cable car, Yuesha Island access, and a camel ride. 4. Resort guests have access to a special lane for the cable car, which takes about 8 minutes. 5. Upon arrival, take the resort jeep transfer to the accommodation area. 6. Enjoy activities such as sand sliding, swimming in the pool, stargazing, and simply experiencing the peaceful desert atmosphere at night. 7. After checkout, take the jeep transfer to the mini desert train, followed by the duck car ride, before returning via cable car. 8. It can be difficult to get a Didi from the resort reception area, but the staff kindly helped arrange a taxi back to Dalate West Station for around CNY50. 9. Continue the journey from Dalate West Station to Ordos. What impressed me most was the hospitality. From the WeChat communication before arrival to the reception team and resort staff, everyone was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The night experience was truly spectacular. The desert becomes so peaceful after sunset — all you can hear is the sound of the sand, while above you is a sky filled with countless stars and a beautiful moon. It was one of the most memorable moments of my trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique desert stay and unforgettable experience!"

"This guesthouse was newly renovated in the last couple of years, and they have a good variety of room types. We visited during what I assume was the off-season. I originally thought accommodation out on the grasslands might be a bit rough, but the room facilities were very new, including a projector. The sink and toilet were also new and very clean, and there was instant hot water. The guesthouse also has its own restaurant with a reasonably priced menu. When we arrived, a lovely lady welcomed us, patiently showed us our room, and recommended some dishes. If you're looking for a place to rest near the volcano, you should definitely consider this one. I was so exhausted that day that I just crashed and didn't take any pictures of the room, so I'll just share a couple of volcano photos instead! 🌋"

"This guesthouse is, without a doubt, one of the warmest and most comfortable places we've ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended – full marks! The hostess is a retired teacher, incredibly gracious and gentle. She speaks softly but is exceptionally welcoming. Even though our room didn't include breakfast, she woke up extra early just to prepare a delicious and hearty meal for us. The courtyard is filled with various fruits and vegetables. When we visited, it was still early in the season, and tender green sprouts were just peeking out from the soil, scattered here and there. It filled us with such hope and joy just looking at them. I can only imagine how vibrant and full of life it will be once it gets a bit warmer. The room itself was an even bigger surprise – spotless, meticulously arranged, and incredibly cozy. Every little detail showed the hostess's thoughtful touch. Staying in a place like this, watching the tender sprouts emerge during the day and falling asleep peacefully at night, was truly a delight. If you're looking for a clean, quiet, and wonderfully hospitable place to stay, this spot is absolutely worth a special trip. We'll definitely be back if we get the chance!"

"Our group of road-tripping friends chose the Anda Inn, and it was a great choice. The courtyard is spacious, so parking was absolutely stress-free. The rooms were meticulously cleaned; there wasn't a speck of dust on furniture edges, and the bathroom counter was spotless, free of water stains. During the day, the owner drove us around the grasslands for free, and we got significant discounts on all sorts of activities. In the evening, there was a bonfire, with all ingredients sourced locally from the pastoral areas. At night, we could lie back in our room and gaze at the starry sky. The relaxation and recovery experience far exceeded our expectations."
