"Environment: The environment is really good. It's a small courtyard with flowers, plants, and even little cats.
Service: The landlady's service attitude is excellent.
Facilities: It's not suitable for those who like to sleep in because the soundproofing isn't great. I could hear other people talking and laughing even at 11 PM, and I could hear them again in the morning. After a tiring day at Universal Studios, I just wanted to get some good rest, but I was disturbed several times."

"The Gryffindor-themed room was absolutely stunning, the bedding was comfortable, and everything was spotless. A must-stay for all Harry Potter fans, 10/10 recommend! A special shout-out to our butler, who was super responsive and incredibly attentive! I twisted my ankle right after checking in, and she immediately got me an ice pack and even bought Yunnan Baiyao (a traditional Chinese medicine for injuries) – she was amazing! This lady is definitely going to be an incredible store manager in the future!"

"This place has a great location, right across from SKP and China World Trade Center on Jianguo Road, and just a short walk to Gemdale Plaza, so you'll never have to worry about food or shopping. The environment is lovely, with a charming little garden, lush greenery, and a picturesque stream. It's really well-designed. The hygiene is excellent; the room was spotless, and the exterior of the apartment building was also very tidy – it seems like someone is constantly patrolling and cleaning. The service is fantastic; the cleaning staff are so friendly and always available. They promptly took out the trash and refilled our water. When I left, I forgot some items, and the front desk immediately arranged for them to be sent to me via SF Express, which I really appreciated! This is definitely a place worth staying at multiple times!"

"I chose this B&B to get an early start at the park, and it far exceeded my expectations! The butler service was incredibly thoughtful; they took us for hotpot in the evening and even helped us book the shuttle for the next day. The room had excellent soundproofing, so I got a great night's sleep, which fully recharged me for a long day of walking. The small courtyard was lovely and quiet, and all the facilities were brand new. Next time I visit Universal, I'll definitely stay here again!"

"The facilities are great: the kitchen is well-equipped with cookware, a fridge, a microwave, and a washing machine. The bedding is also very clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The place is clean and tidy, which is a big plus.
The environment matches the photos perfectly. I looked at a lot of Airbnb-style places around Sanlitun, and this one offers really good value for money. It's only about a 5-6 minute walk to the subway station, and exploring Sanlitun for shopping is super convenient. I'm really happy I found this place.
The housekeeper's service was excellent too – very thoughtful, polite, and responsive. I had no worries during my stay."

"The owner is incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. They upgraded our room for free to a much larger one, which was equipped with smart appliances and was very clean. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, like hot pot and tea ceremonies. I highly recommend the chestnut soy milk—the chestnut flavor is so rich! They also provide a free, nutritious breakfast. Before we left, the owner even gave us a bag of coffee. I highly recommend this place to everyone!"

"The hotel is close to Universal Studios, and there are shuttle buses to and from the park in the morning and evening, which you can book in advance. There are also restaurants near the hotel with long opening hours, which is very convenient.
The hotel butler is very attentive. They contact guests in advance to provide information about the hotel and Universal Studios, and also offer items like clothes for rent. They even help with luggage at check-out, which is very welcoming.
The room amenities are mostly complete, including disposable toiletries such as disposable toilet seat covers and disposable bath towels, but there was no face towel.
The housekeeping auntie was also very friendly and greeted us warmly."

TTetrapoueteIt can be quite difficult to find a place which can accommodate a family of 5 all at once so we were very happy to see 3 double beds in the family room. The room is bright and clean, the hotel location is very good. Around 10min away from Universal park; there are 2 free shuttle buses in the morning (7.20 am and 8.20 am) but you can also easily get a taxi/ Didi to there. There are several chinese restaurants right in front of the hotel.
The person who welcomed us was very nice and helpful.
I saw some comments saying toiletries would not be renewed from one day to another. You actually have to scan the Wechat QR code located next to the hotel door (street side) and the hotel staff will then help you to book the shuttle bus to the park or renew the toiletries the next day. The bed will not be redone though, that would be some possible improvement. Besides this, we will totally come back to this place.

I've stayed in quite a few decent B&Bs, and this one just gives me the impression that the owner isn't very focused on service, mainly aiming for a casual vibe, I guess... It's been a long time since I encountered a B&B or hotel where the drinks in the room fridge cost extra. When I asked for two small bottles of water, the response I got was, ”The large bottles are free too.” I don't understand what that even means... Of course, I know the large bottles are free, but do I have to drink from a jug if I want cold water? They did eventually bring them, just two small bottles... The breakfast was also quite disappointing; it's the first time I've encountered something like this at this price point for a B&B. The overall feeling is just very stingy.
There's a nearly right-angle turn outside the B&B, and our car is quite long. No one came out to guide us or help us navigate... I'll just leave it at that for now.

GGuest UserWe chose 'Sleep Lab Homestay' for our trip to Universal Studios, and it was truly an excellent experience! We booked a twin suite, which was incredibly practical. The bathroom had a double vanity sink, so two people could get ready simultaneously without any hassle – super convenient.
There's also a sliding door between the two beds, allowing for privacy and undisturbed rest for each person, which was a huge plus. The homestay itself is a minimalist white building, looking clean and refreshing overall. Every spot is picture-perfect, making it easy to snap great photos.
The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep. We visited during the off-season, so the price was incredibly reasonable, offering fantastic value for money. Overall, it was a comfortable and affordable stay. I highly recommend this homestay for anyone visiting Universal Studios!

MMarcoPoPoDuring the May Day holiday, there were people everywhere. I just wanted to find a quiet place with less traffic and less people. This place is really a very good choice. It is not far from the Beijing-Weihai Expressway. Facing the mountains, there are two hot springs. The children are happy to play, and I can also listen to music and enjoy the tranquility on the recliner. Next time I go, I should bring barbecue ingredients. The courtyard provides free grills, charcoal and condiments.

It's only a few hundred meters from Shuiguan Great Wall, a 5-minute walk directly to it. No need to rush when climbing the Great Wall.
The courtyard has its own open-air private hot spring pool, and the water temperature is just perfect. Soaking in the hot spring, feeling the gentle breeze, and looking up at the Great Wall. An immersive relaxation, absolutely amazing!
Service: The butler service is really great 👌 Everything is arranged in advance, so you don't have to worry about anything. It's even more attentive than a five-star hotel.
Couples Afternoon Tea: The fruit and mousse cake were delicious.
Goodnight drink (milk or mulled wine): I chose milk 🥛 It was warm and after drinking it, my sleep quality improved.

Easy access to the train and shopping area plenty of food around the vicinity and even in the same building we enjoyed the stay throughout the week and will be back again if we visit Beijing. MM56405****Absolutely fantastic! The two kids played in the room until midnight without any need for adult supervision. The moms just chatted and drank the whole time – it was so relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel is super close to the ancient town, only a five-minute walk. There are supermarkets downstairs and restaurants right outside the door, which is incredibly convenient. The owner is really nice and was quick to resolve any issues we had. Remember to bring some sausages when you go; there are lots of little cats downstairs waiting for you to feed them!

TThe Domestic China TravelerHotel was very clean. Was in a good location where it was near a lot of bus lines and some grocery stores. Excellent view from the city in where I was at. Washer was very good in how it washes the clothing well. Clothesline is in an excellent area in her house near the kitchen where it dries the clothes very quick in like 2 days!
The owner can be a little shady at times as well as her workers that works for her. I really didn't like how she moved me back and forth to her other house on the 2nd and 3rd days of my stay back to the first house on the first day, under the story that I was a special guests. More like she is trying to get maximum usage of the room that I was in where she was able to move me to her dingy house which wasn't being occupied by anyone at the moment. It was very disruptive where I couldn't go out sighseeing very well on those days. Thank god this was done to me when I was already on the last week of my trip where I didn't need to travel to anymore famous attraction in Beijing and was ready to leave.
I really hated the way that I was feeling like I was being rushed by her younger 2nd worker with the bleached brown hair to hurry up and pack to move to the other house. I felt really irritated by him at times! Her other worker was friendly and ok. I really wanted to do it by myself and then move to the other house.
She also gave me a bunch of torn and tattered bills when she gave me back my deposit. What is with that?
I am mad with her but yet feel sorry for her that she has to do multiple businesses to survive like cleaning other people's clothing and a grocery store because of her economic situation where she is forced to do these underhanded tactics to survive as well as most other people in China that have to deal with a similiar situation.
Hopefully we won't have to live in a world like this soon that is so cruel.
