The location is a bit off. You can only call motorcycles or tutu when you get in and out. The room is close to the river, and there will be boats passing by at night, which is a bit noisy. However, I still think it＇sa nice place otherwise I don＇t need to write the comment to remind the boss. I will recommend this place to others. advantage: 1. Close to the floating market, quiet, and the boss is enthusiastic. The female boss can communicate in English. There is an older boss who can speak Chinese. He seems to be of Chinese origin. He has a southeastern coastal accent. 2. Can arrange activities, 60 baht can participate in the firefly night tour, about an hour by boat, there are real fireflies. If you want a massage, you can ask the boss to arrange someone to come. The price is fair. 3. The sanitary conditions are okay. Anyway, we bring our own sheets, and the room looks pretty clean. The room we booked has a separate bathroom. It is in ROOM2, which is close to ROOM1. The hair dryer needs to be taken in ROOM1. I think it’s better to have a separate bathroom. One is that the room is bigger, and the other is that it’s air-conditioned, so you don’t have to take a shower and sweat again. 4. The dew platform is good. I saw a big lizard in the river for two days. shortcoming: 1. I have seen this on BOOKING and received a lot of praise. Many of them are written by Taiwanese guests. Most of the guests in this hotel are probably from Taiwan, so one of the four national flags on their table is a fake Taiwanese flag. The boss probably didn’t realize the problem here, but just wanted to welcome the guests, so I wrote a review in English, hoping that the boss can think about it again. The parking lot went into the small alley, very close. You can also take a tuk-tuk for 20 baht per person. In fact, it's not too far to walk, about 12 minutes, but it's too dry, so I still take the car. Generally speaking, it can be recommended. The room conditions are very average. Anyway, it is clean. The whole side is just like that. Don't compare with domestic ones.

I originally did not book this place but as it is Songkran period and I am unable to get another resort nearby, I took a leap of faith and book this homestay. What an experience I got in return. This is one of the most cosy place I have ever stayed in Thailand for the past many years. The hotel staff and boss is very friendly and warm and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. You can see they really take pride in their work and is proud to work here. They have limited English proficiency compared to a normal BKK hotel but still good enough to communicate. The customers consist mainly of Thai people from my observation but there are a few foreigners like me too. The hotel dining area has a view to die for , you can hang around here whole day and you can order food and drinks from their menu or you can buy elsewhere and eat here. The staff is chill about this, which is great. The activity offered from the hotel are fire fly watching for 60B per person at 8pm and give offering food (50B per person) to monk who will come by in the morning at 6AM, both which are very cheap for hotel related activity. Walking distance to the famous amphawa floating market area. The rooms are authentic and declared in Thai fashion. The garden area is very nicely decorated and there is a small bar playing music near where the room is. If you walk outside the hotel, there are other Thai people staying nearby so this give you a great insight of how Thai people live in amphawa area. The breakfast are really good with many Thai kanom (desert) with fried eggs and pad Thai every morning. There is not much for lunch and dinner but if you are ok with mainly vegetable, you can have a good meal too (FOC). I am suppose to stay for 3 days but I extend it 6 instead as I love it so much. A great must try experience if you want to experience how to live like a Thai person. the name is so appropriate , Baanrak which means house love in Thai language.

Although the room is conveniently located, it is really a unpleasant experience. On the first day we checked in, there was a little sister who was in English to help us, and we also booked supplies for the monks the next morning, which is our main purpose here. The little sister said that the monk would be at 6 am the next morning. The hotel can't wear shoes in the area, I understand that this is Thai culture. But the owner of the homestay should also keep the place clean, so that it can be assured. The nails were found on the bed, and the bathroom and bathroom floors were rusty. It was very uncomfortable. I came back at night to trouble them to get a massage, but at 8 o'clock they told us that it was too late, no one massaged. The next day, we arrived at 6 am on time common area. The staff were busy with breakfast, and the monks saw us and rowed to the small ladder by the riverside of the hotel. We saw that there was nothing on the table, and asked the staff to take the monk's items. She took them out. They didn't pay attention to the time of 6 o'clock, which made us feel that we didn't respect the monks. Instead, we saw a very popular homestay nearby, which was a lot of monk supplies. Beautiful and punctual. After the monks were finished, we saw them making breakfast. Because we wanted to go back to the room to sleep again, we asked the staff about the time of breakfast. I am afraid that I will miss it. The staff is not English. When we pointed at breakfast, she thought that we wanted to eat. I even shouted and scolded. Another one is normal but not in English. Seeing our gestures, I wrote the breakfast time on paper to tell us. This is a very unpleasant experience. If I go to Ampawa next time, I have to book a nearby homestay before I arrange the itinerary.

In the morning, I still have to call to ask if there is breakfast. Because when booking, I said that there is breakfast as well. I think that if I don't call, I would definitely not have ... breakfast.

Nice location, walkable to the market and easily to access (located next to the Soi Rong Jay ซอยโรงเจ and a minute to Wat Chulamanee วัดจุฬามณี). The place is located next to the Khlong Amphawa at the curve, so you will see the Khlong with 360 degree. The room we booked is the River Room with patio next to the Khlong (Pitures Room - ห้องปิตุเรศ), so we sit an enjoy the time both in the evening and in the morning. The air conditioner works well and the place is clean. Only the bed and pillow are hard for me and the towel (the green one) doesn't absorb water. (เช็ดตัวไม่แห้ง) We took a long tail boat service to sightseeing the fireflies at night from our patio pier which was a great experience. The lady was the mother of the owner, so it feel like a home stay. She greeted us well and she also brought ปาท่องโก๋ and made boiled rice with pork for us in the morning before we check out. Recommend this place as its location is nice and right next to the Khlong).
