My recent stay at Solanki Guest House, Azad Chauk, Kolhapur was incredibly disappointing. As expected, the mtdc property is located at the best location with amazing sea and beach view. The property is huge and the rooms are really well spread out the only drawback is the food quality and service. Done expect any fancy food, rather don't expect much from the limited menu that they have the menu lists many items but the availability of items is very limited. Also the food is not that great. I got dal rice for my order of dal khichdi, and then received jeera rice tossed with boiled vegetables when i ordered veg pulav. Also, there is no room service for food and beverages, you have to order your food and carry it yourself to the room if you wish to have in room dining. Just some improvements in the room service and food quality, and this place could be a great value for money.

We stayed for one night. The rooms were average in size. The furniture was old but adequate. The bathrooms looked newly renovated. The staff was friendly. There was some lack of coordination between reception and house keeping. Food at the hotel was good. Railway station is in walking distance.

I stayed at Krishna Inn- The green hotel in Kolhapur. I decided to try this hotel looking at some good reviews and it was kind of an good experience. Hotel is at a Good central, yet calm and peaceful location, Breakfast was good. Improvements- Water flow pressure for the tap in bathroom was a bit low. Can be improved. Hope hotel management will take care of this suggestion. However overall good option to stay at an affordable price.
