”Exceptional Stay at the Galt House Hotel - A Louisville Gem!” I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality and elegant ambiance set the tone for a truly memorable experience. The location of the Galt House is unbeatable—right in the heart of downtown Louisville with breathtaking views of the Ohio River. It’s within walking distance to many attractions, making it perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was struck by the grand, modern decor that beautifully blends the hotel’s historic charm with contemporary elegance. The room I stayed in was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room offered stunning river views that made waking up each morning a delight. The amenities were top-notch, from the plush bathrobes to the high-quality toiletries. I truly appreciated the attention to detail. Dining at the Swizzle Dinner & Drinks restaurant was an experience in itself! The rotating restaurant offers a unique and elevated dining experience with panoramic views of the city skyline. The food was exceptional, with a variety of locally inspired dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary preferences, showcasing genuine care and hospitality. The service throughout my stay was exemplary. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to ensuring my stay was perfect. From the concierge who provided excellent recommendations to the housekeeping staff who kept everything spotless, the level of service exceeded my expectations. I also had the opportunity to relax at the hotel’s RIVUE Tower Pool, which was a tranquil oasis after a day of exploring the city. The facilities, including the fitness center and spa, were well-maintained and provided an additional layer of luxury to my stay. Overall, my experience at the Galt House Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a fantastic blend of southern hospitality, luxury, and comfort. I was going to chalk up my experience as an isolated incident and let it fade away. That was until I received a phone call last evening around midnight! A rep. from Trip calling me asking about for my input concerning my stay at this hotel. I relayed to her that I had called Trip.com a couple of months ago right after a friend and I rented a room. We rented a room around 5pm or so. I had expressed that the power in our room - the TV, Lamps, Microwave, Frig., did not work. We put a complaint into the front desk around 6pm. Issue was not resolved until later on, around 10pm approx. About an hour after that is bedtime so 95% of watching TV, microwaving, etc, was wiped out. When I put the call into Trip,.com a couple of months ago, I received no follow up, until last night. Last night the caller wanted feedback about my room. I went over everything that had occurred. She also wanted input on how they could improve. I said, it's very simple, just focus on basic customer etiquette and satisfaction. At no point has any type of recognition been expressed concerning my loss of enjoyment of here said hotel stay. Customer service/satisfaction is becoming non-existent .

NICE LOCATION, NICE SPACIOUS ROOM, WE LOVED THE HAPPY HOUR AND APPETIZERS AND JUST A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO STAY. VERY COMFORTABLE BED (PILLIOSW NOT SO MUCH) SHOWER GOT REALLY HOT WHICH WE REALLY APPROECIATED. ONLY ISSUE FOR US IS THAT WE DID HAVE A PET SMELL THAT WAS UNBEARABLE AT TIMES BUT THEY SAID THEY DONT BELIEVE OUR ROOM HAD A PET IN THERE BEFORE OUR STAY. I HAVE BAD ALLERGIES AND SNEEZED ALL NIGHT LONG

Keeping in mind the price the hotel was not bad. The rooms were pretty clean. The bed was really soft even though I prefer a Firm bed. The ladies that were running the front counter while I was. There were very friendly and helpful. I even forgot my toothbrush and they gave me a free one. The breakfast that's included is okay for the average person. However, I may type 2 diabetic and the only friendly diabetic food. They had what was water. All of the food was high in carbohydrates. So bad for diaboth days. The hot item was biscuits and gravy was really hoping for some eggs. Maybe some bacon but no. In my particular room, which was one nineteen, the bathroom door could stand to be replaced lots of paint piling on it, and the bottom of it. Looks like someone had kicked it or something the bottom piece was coming off. The shower dispenser, the shampoo side kept falling. The little tables broke landed on my toes. So I just left it down. If I was to ever return to Kentucky which nothing I have planned I would stay at this hotel. Agand just would remember to bring swimming trunks so I could use the pool. And just a little visual effects you. the fake bottles in the Pop machine or soda machines whichever you prefer couldn't stand replacing they look bad.

Located in the small town of Paducah, in the heart of the United States, near the river on the Mississippi River, the hotel is overlooked by the Ohio River. The hotel is located in Kentucky, across the river from Illinois. The hotel is very clean and the town is quiet and suitable for rest. The only thing that is not very convenient is that there is no place to shop or eat near the hotel, and the food at the hotel is very simple.

It was a nice place the owners and staff was very friendly and helpful could use some new carpet but over all it was nice

The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom on the other hand my girlfriend is short very short so she had to practically stand on the bar just to reach the top of the shower head to adjust it or she had to yell for me to come in and adjust it the door did not lock. The front door didn't matter if we closed it it was easily able to be pushed open there was a crack all the way around the door so you could see the light coming through you could hear everything everybody getting on the elevator every time somebody got ice out of the machine the walls are extremely thin. The service was fine they only came into our room one time to ask if we needed anything and we got everything that we needed. And my girlfriend did not like the shampoo or the conditioner as it stripped her hair so bad that she was pulling chunks of her hair out with the hair brush trying to get it brushed out. The carpet was dirty you can vacuum it and it was clean but it needs the steam clean as my girlfriend wore white socks and within a few hours or socks were black. My girlfriend didn't even swim at the pool I tried to get in but the water was cold super cold I ended up getting out.

This hotel was in a perfect location for our families spring break trip while we visited the Mamath Caves, Lost River Cave and the National Corvette Measume. Plenty of restaurants around and easy on/off of the main hwy. Breakfast being included was a plus. My boyfriend enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and the kids loved the waffles. The pool and hot tub were loved by all and we went in them all of the three nights we were there. The rooms were average size and nothing special, could use a little fixing up here and there and maybe some hooks on back of bathroom door or a rack above toilet for a place to hang towels but it was a place to sleep and shower. One thing I can say is that the parking lot was not very large in the front of the hotel and most spots already taken as times we came and went so we had to park on the side lot which is on a slanted hill and it's a pain in the butt getting in and out. We would still stay again as the price for what you get was the best we found around.

The bed was fantastic, like sleeping on a marshmallow. The room decor I loved. It had a picture of the ocean that spanned the length of the room. I felt very welcomed when I entered because the bedspread said, ”Hello sunshine.” Cute idea. It was apparent that they are remodeling and still need a few tweaks here and there. There was no hair blow dryer and iron yet, there was a ironing board. Could use an extra garbage bucket and tissues box. The towels were soft and new but the tub needs to be replaced. It was developing a hole that they covered with tape. The utilities room had a broken down ice machine and washer/dryer. It looked to be like they were working to repair these items. The breakfast was unbalanced. They offered waffles, bread to toast, bagels, cream cheese, cereal. Could use some fruit and maybe oatmeal. Eggs would be good with a meat. Despite all, I see great potential of this hotel being one to return to.

We’ve stayed here before and we really like this hotel! It is decorated in a beautiful modern design, always clean, always friendly and helpful staff. It is very close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Erlanger has about anything you could want from a smaller city without the crazy traffic. But you’re close enough to Newport, Covington, Cincinnati that it’s a fairly quick drive anywhere in the metro area. Breakfast has many hot items to choose from. Very nice hotel and we will very likely stay there again in the future.
