"Everything was great – good location and cleaning, and the hotel is very cozy. The only huge downside was the breakfast. Not only was it almost always the same, but often all the dishes (scrambled eggs, porridge, etc.) weren't tasty. The pastries saved the situation. "The first room I was given was very old, with a broken floor, damp on the wall by the bed, and paint that was peeling and coming off. The room was located in a separate building from the hotel. I was quite disappointed because this is not what one would expect from a 4-star hotel. The explanation I was given was that I had booked through a budget platform. Luckily, after changing rooms twice, I was finally able to get a room in the hotel’s main building. The reception staff were very kind and understanding of my family’s needs. Once in the main building, everything was exactly as expected. The pool is beautiful with a stunning view, which is the reason I have returned to this property for the fifth time."

"The hotel is quite old, but with an atmosphere. Pleasant staff. There is a swimming pool and jacuzzi, in front of the hotel there are wonderful sunset views. The rooms are spacious but the beds are a little sagging - one was tolerable and the other quite uncomfortable. Of the minuses-poor soundproofing and noisy maids in the morning. The breakfast is decent - nothing fancy, but the choice is large and the food is tasty. Directly under the hotel there is a police station and on Saturday evening they stopped all the cars in a row - they checked for alcohol or drugs."

Nuestra experiencia en este hotel ha sido maravillosa. Destacamos especialmente la atención del personal, siempre amable y dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento. El desayuno fue de alta calidad, con una amplia variedad de opciones para todos los gustos, servido en un salón precioso con grandes cristaleras y unas vistas espectaculares a las montañas.
La habitación estaba perfectamente equipada, limpia y muy cómoda, cumpliendo con todas nuestras expectativas. El spa fue, sin duda, uno de los puntos fuertes de nuestra estancia: las piscinas interiores y exteriores de aguas termales ofrecen una experiencia relajante única. Sin duda, un lugar para repetir.

The hotel is located in a comfortable position, close to the north cost in a small town, just 15/20 minutes drive from Ponta Delgada & the Airport.
To my surprise when we arrived there were two type of rooms, suites or bungalows, of course according to the price we paid we were assigned the suite.
What surprised me that during the booking process to photos we saw were not the suites, which led us to believe that was going to look different than it actually was.
The amenities were limited, there is no safe or fridge in the suites.
In the bathroom the paper holder was rusted because it has been positioned under the towel rack.
The breakfast included option was fine, but little limited and repetitive, fruits were fresh and good, as well as well various cheese and hams choices.
If you can get a cheap price for your stay is overall a good option, but bear in mind that there are some caveats.
I would suggest to the hotel to update their images on the platforms and separate clearly the type of rooms available in order to avoid unwanted surprises for the guests.

Guest UserWhilst the hotel was very modern it seemed to lack basics such as a kettle in the room (there is a nespresso machine but for any tea drinkers out there they will know that making tea through a coffee machine is far from ideal) and being able to retrieve an iron. Instead you are expected to put items in for laundry when all we wanted to do was run an iron over a shirt for the evening.
Pool area is stunning however has the most uncomfortable loungers you could ever find. They look great but the max stay to bathe is less than an hour before your entire body goes numb.
It seems that this stunning hotel is trying to be a little above its star rating and failing on these few points at just trying that bit too hard for the clientele staying.
Rooms were very clean although signs of some wear and tear are already starting to show.
Location is EXCELLENT and staff helpful, polite and welcoming.
Not sure if we would stay again as we are real sun worshipers and really struggled to enjoy the pool area here.

Im afraid to write all this because this place because when we want to go back here, it will get too busy. We travelled with a baby and the hotel provided a high chair and crib which made a huge difference for us. They even upgraded our room. The staff is very responsive and would respond to my queries prior to arriving. They would help me with any questions at the front desk. Bernardo, Joal, and Claudio were excellent help. They had great recommendations for tourist things to do that met the needs of our family. The hotel and apartment were immaculately clean and staff were so friendly and thorough. We enjoyed the continental breakfast everyday. Some people complained in previous reviews its the same items each day but we found there was a new item each day. I also appreciated the consistency because I knew what to eat the next morning. The woman who does the breakfast has a wonderful spread. The fruit, coffee, eggs and everything were fantastic.

We stayed the first two nights of out two week holiday in the Neat Hotel. We were early arriving but our room was ready so we were able to check in, which was great. The first thing we noticed when we walked in the hotel was the lovely smelling air freshener, which gave a good first impression. All staff on reception that we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a comfy bed. There was a fridge but my one down point for amenities was that there was no kettle. A coffee maker but no kettle! No everyone drinks coffee but this seems to be a normal thing nowadays. I know you can boil the water but not use a coffee capsule, but the water still tastes of coffee. It was noisy at night but the hotel is right in the centre. Great location for the harbour. Would stay again if we ever visit The Azores again!

Did not like at all. Location is excellent, in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Check-in process is quite embarrassing - self check-in with instructions, sent only 1 hour before check-in after I insisted. Charged for parking, which must be free, as per information on Trip.com, saying “sorry, the information is inaccurate”. The price on their website was twice cheaper than at Trip.com. The room was nice, quite practical with lots of amenities, but some of them were broken. Not that much space, not good with children. Can’t recommend at all, sorry
