Hotels With Gym in Nara Prefecture, Japan

"It’s a perfect stay  The hotel located next to JR Nara station in which is connected by a bridge for 2/3 minutes walk. In Nara station, there are many restaurants and a supermarket in which is very convenient. The hotel room is modern and cozy. The room size is ok (18sqm). Thanks for the layout together with the king size bed. It’s very comfortable. The breakfast is a big surprise with very good taste in variety of food. Together with like the fine dining display, I enjoyed it a lot. There is a small gym in which is a merit as not much Japanese business hotel have it. A self service laundry also provided. Another free self locker for free store of luggage till overnight provide another flexibility of your travel plan.  In addition, there is a convenient right downstairs of the building provide another convenience. All in all, it’s out of my expectations. I expect it’s a normal business hotel but as a frequent traveler, I feel like stay in a 4 stars + hotel.  There is no doubt to return in case if I come back to Nara"

"Checking in can take a while, as the butler asks quite a few detailed questions and then gives a thorough introduction to the building and its various areas. Some staff members have good English, others not so much, which can sometimes make understanding difficult, but it doesn't significantly impact the overall experience. The breakfast is exquisite. During the tail end of the Golden Week holiday, we had to queue for a table. The Japanese grilled fish was delicious, but other dishes were just okay. The Western options were decent and quite plentiful. The room was clean and tidy, and on our last day, we even saw deer chasing and playing in the courtyard. The hotel has a distinct resort vibe, and Kengo Kuma's design features many highlights. It's a tranquil oasis in a bustling area, and the courtyard is beautifully maintained. Most guests seemed to be older, well-established families, with fewer young people. (As a 'workhorse' who needed to get some work done in the evening, I found there were no power outlets near the desk for my laptop, which really drove home the point that everyone else was truly here to relax and enjoy their vacation). Overall, I had a very pleasant and comfortable holiday. It's a beautiful hotel and definitely worth experiencing."

"The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the service was excellent all around. The breakfast had a distinct Nara flavor, and the location was convenient with frequent transportation options, which was a huge plus. However, the facilities are undeniably dated. While clean, I personally felt the overall experience wasn't as good as hotels with newer facilities. Also, I stayed for two nights, and on the second day, I noticed there was no cleaning service; only the water was replaced and the trash emptied. If cleaning requires putting out a sign, I suggest the hotel specifically mentions this at check-in or notes it on a information sheet. Other hotels I've stayed at, like Daiwa Roynet and Hilton, usually have clear instructions or indicators for this."

"The room was very new, and having 5 bottles of complimentary mineral water was a nice touch. Being away from the street, the room was quiet. The shuttle bus to the train station every half hour made getting around super convenient. Great value for money."

"Had a wonderful trip to Nara! The hotel was exceptionally clean, with a beautiful environment and a very convenient location. The staff service was top-notch. Before arriving, I wondered what a 5-star rated hotel would actually be like, but after staying here, it truly turned out to be a fantastic experience. Right before leaving, I almost forgot my ring in the room, and the staff immediately arranged to open the door for me. I am so grateful to them and look forward to another wonderful trip next time!"
