They offer a free shuttle bus from Sapporo Station, which I highly recommend taking, especially if you have luggage, as public buses might be difficult to board. The foreign staff at the front desk spoke excellent English! The hotel itself is quite spacious with a retro vibe. You can easily walk to the city center in about 20 minutes or take a few bus stops. For airport transfers, the airport shuttle picks up right outside the hotel, which is super convenient.

The basics of all city hotels - location, location, location..... !!! And Hotel Stream is smacked in the heart of everything Sapporo has to offer unless you prefer a quieter and calmer spot then this hotel is NOT for you. Rooms are pretty standard in terms of size and amenities, it's, quiet, and great for city strolling. If your intention is to use this hotel as your base to do day trips to Furano & Biei, The Hill of the Buddha Moai, or the renowned Otaru (which unfortunately isn't that muchl unless you're a die hard music box & glass making fan) this is your BEST CHOICE until Hyatt House opens in Oct 2026 (a bird told me - for those Globalist out there) . Oh... a BIG tip by the way (if you've been reading till this point: request for a room with a direct view of the Sapporo's ferries wheel (not that I am a fan lol) or the view of the Nikka advertisement on my attached photo - they are worth it. It's amazing to sleep with such stunning view and wake up to one..... (check out my photos taken from my room) In case you wonder if that pic of me by the glass overlooking thr Nikka ad sign - that's the main breakfast restaurant where you will be having your daily breakfast but u have to get there early to book that seat, otherwise sit through breakfast till they close and then u get to take this photo for as long as you please...... Ok ok ok... i know I'm a little long winded. But hey... oh yeah... u need to know that you can take a limousine bus from CTS (Chitose International Airport) to Susukino which takes about 50mins on way for JPY1500 per person. Easy weasy and the from the bus stop in susukino where most will disembark - it's only a 5min walk to Hotel Stream which ISN'T that obvious as the hotel sign is NOT exactly on the building. You have to look out for a building that reads ”Coco-something” (ops forgotten the name of the building) and the hotel lobby is located on the 7th floor of that building which also house a shopping center, movie theater and numerous restaurants. If you're srill reading this - give me a like already and don't be stingy with that click will ya? Lol. If you're a Chinese tourist, don't set your expectations too high – it's just a basic hostel. Expect the lower floors to be equivalent to a 170-250 RMB standard in China, and even a 'premium' room shouldn't cost more than 400 RMB. The hallways are so narrow only one person can pass at a time, and there's no wardrobe in the room; clothes have to be hung on the hallway wall. You can't even lay your suitcase flat on the floor! I've never stayed in such a terrible room, and the pricing is incredibly unstable. I booked it for just over 1000 RMB, but after checking in, I found the price had dropped by more than 300 RMB. If you don't check the prices carefully, you'll get ripped off... Luckily, Trip.com customer service was great and refunded the difference! This hotel has no redeeming qualities. Although it's close to the subway station, there are definitely more cost-effective hotels nearby, all within walking distance.

Portom International Hotel was such a beautiful stay ✨ The aesthetics, the impeccable service, and the peaceful atmosphere made everything feel so luxurious and comforting. Most of all, I left feeling truly rested, pampered, and refreshed. Would absolutely love to return again 💛

I stayed at this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. Its biggest advantage is the airport shuttle (1500 JPY/person) right outside the hotel, which is also the first stop. The journey takes 1.5 hours. It's also a maximum 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station. The room was clean, but the gap between the two beds was a bit too narrow. The bathroom was spacious and came with disposable slippers. There's no bottled water in the room, but drinking water is available in the hallway. I chose the Japanese set meal for breakfast, which was good. The front desk service was excellent, and there's a weighing scale in the lobby.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, then left our luggage here while we spent a night at a hot spring hotel in Noboribetsu, before returning for another 2 nights. The front desk staff were extremely thoughtful and helpful in storing our luggage and making all the arrangements smoothly. We stayed in a triple room, which was said to be the largest available. However, for 3 people, it did feel a little bit small. Unfortunately, the breakfast restaurant was closed for upgrade for a month, so we only had the chance to enjoy it once. That was a bit of a pity.

It was pretty good. The view from the 24th floor was excellent, and the public bath was larger than the Dormy Inn I stayed at before. The triple room was also very nice. Although the 0.9-meter-wide bed was a bit narrow for my 14-year-old, he didn't mind, and I prefer us all sleeping together, as it helps us bond more with him. The only hassle was the air conditioning was too hot; I suggest they not turn it off completely but instead set it to the lowest temperature of 18 degrees.

The room was incredibly comfortable, clean, and spacious, allowing us to open two suitcases simultaneously. The hotel's location is super convenient, with direct access to both the subway and JR lines. It's perfect for shopping, with department stores and convenience stores nearby. The hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise; I chose the French Toast with bacon, and the sweet and savory combination was just right. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again next time.

A bit on the outskirts of popular places but hotel is cery new and great for families, business people and those who can't get lodging during baseball season or ski season. Very pleased with the place. Wonderful new hotel, directly connected to the JR train and Chuo bus station. Spotted a couple of grannies using the long covered indoor sloped path for strolling exercise early every morning. Good idea. The hotel gym is spacious, well equipped, clean but underused. Transport by bus is easy around Kitahiroshima. No bath in our room but having a hot shower is really fantastic too. Flip over the pillow, there's a surprise on the other side, we liked its firm and textured filling (plastic pebbles or beans?) Room even has a sofabed! Tokou and Coop Elfin supermarkets, the friendly izakaya inside the bus ticketing station are very walkable. Google xlate is your friend here, like Cash & your physical Credit Card is in this area. Working people, friendly gruff guys. Service was prompt, kind and friendly by the assistants at the self check in area. One of the staff seemed surprised to hear that Singapore had no snow but was average 30-32°c and only had rain. Fair deal cos it was my 1st time being in snowy conditions too! Shuttle bus for ES CON Field Stadium every 15 mins from beside the Lawsons of the same building. Pastry shop, Soft Serve shop served quality food at reasonable prices, no wait. It's a wonderful place to stay with kids too. Many families there. A nice place to start exploring from, away from all the crowds and traffic. Good for a slow pace I guess. If you're a Fighters fan, this is the spot for you! Also, I guess in other seasons it is more forgiving too. Snow there is so much cleaner and finer than in Sapporo. Loved it. Next time I'll start my trip from Tomakomai Port and move upwards perhaps and stay a few nights here again.
