"Our family had a wonderful time staying here for our vacation! "I almost gave it a perfect score - gave location only a 4 because there is no subway station nearby. But there is a bus stop for both local buses and the airport limousine. The hotel has a vintage feel but it was clean and the service was really superb. We were given a comfortable room for the three of us.
Breakfast options were the same everyday except for the soup. It would have been nice if there was a variety for the fruits and desserts."

"Used this hotel for an overnight stay in Sapporo before my son's exam. I was able to book it at a very affordable price and was impressed by the new facilities. The room only had a shower, but the separate toilet made it stress-free to use. I was a bit disappointed because I had mistakenly thought it was attached to Escon Field due to my own poor search, but it seems there's a bus available, so I'd love to visit the stadium if I get the chance again."

First off, Ivy's ambiance is subtly pleasant and very comfortable.
The service, I found, was just right. The way staff would nod and smile every time I entered, that subtle presence of 'we're here if you need us' felt really good. Almost all facilities have no time limits (except for the sauna which closes at midnight), so no need to rush for showers or the gym. It's perfect for night owls to quietly explore the hotel at any time! The lounge always has replenished snacks and drinks, and public spaces are always tidied up. Of course, this assumes everyone helps maintain a quiet atmosphere.
The room layout was smooth, quiet, and conducive to good sleep. The air conditioning and all other facilities were noise-free. The flowing private hot spring was the best white noise for falling asleep. The room lighting was also perfectly designed! I really slept well, so checking out at 11 am was a bit difficult. It would be perfect if check-out could be at 12 pm!
Even in summer, it's not boring at all. Although the Summer Lantern Festival isn't a huge event, it's still interesting! At least it's great for photos! I'd honestly love to come back in winter to experience the incredible snowy scenery! There are two young men who speak Chinese, and they are both very nice, so language communication isn't much of a worry.
Friends who have stayed here also said Ivy was a pleasant surprise, a place that feels like home during their travels.
However, to be honest, the dining was neither particularly good nor bad; nothing surprising there. My review might be subjective, but I genuinely love Ivy.

Chabrior Turbulo
The most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in a hotel.
We had some of the best sleep during our stay. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of pillows and soft, high-quality linens. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and very well soundproofed, with lots of space to store luggage and personal items, plus many useful amenities.
The entire hotel has a modern, clean design and is kept in excellent condition. The staff were very kind, professional, and spoke English, which made everything easy. They even provided umbrellas free of charge when it rained, which was a thoughtful touch.
The hotel bar also deserves a mention. The service was excellent, the drinks were very good, and the parfaits were delicious. Since parfaits are very popular locally in Sapporo, I definitely recommend trying one here.
The location is convenient too: just a short walk from Susukino and the Sapporo city center, close to the station by a few metro stops, and easy to reach by taxi.
Overall, this Marriott was a real gem. Because of such a pleasant experience here, I’ll definitely consider staying at other Marriott Courtyard hotels in the future.

lack of maintenance with broken walls like that for a deluxe room is hard to accept even though the room size is good and big enough to open 3 large suitcases.
amenities r made in China not Japan make me really disappointed with the amount I paid.

It's located on the international side of the airport, which makes it incredibly convenient for catching a flight the next day, especially if you're staying your last night there. The hotel is also very comfortable and upscale. The outdoor facilities at the hotel's hot spring are excellent, and the rooms are spacious and fully equipped with smart home technology. The lighting is also great. Highly recommend!

Overall Impression: A perfect blend of convenience and cozy. Despite the bustling atmosphere and classic, dark decor, the private onsen and dining experience make this a standout choice in the area.
Hightlights:
The room: Spacious with beautiful wooden floors and a private outdoor onsen. Soaking in the heat while snow falls is pure magic. Features like the ”His&Her” sinks and an in-room massage chair make our stay more comfortable. All complimentary in the room adds a thoughful touch.
Dining: The buffet offers and impressive variety of local dishes alongside beautifully plated mains. Even when busy, the staff sustematically managed the seating, ensuring we enjoyed the stunning winter views comfortably. The Hokkaido cheese pizza and dessert are absolute must-tries.
Location and Service: Perfectly situated in the heart of the sightseeing district, with famous sweet shop right nearby. The complimentary valet parking and polight, perfessional staff made our stay seamless.
Observations:
Atmosphere: The common areas can feel a bit crowded due to its popularity.
Design: The room interiors are a bit outdated and lean toward very dark tones, and notably, Netflix is not available on the in-room TV.
Note: Windows are fixed; ventilation is managed via the onsen balcony door.
Verdict: Highly recommended for foodies and onsen lovers who want to be the center of the action.

B.V.For us it is the second time in this wonderful hotel and every time it is like living a dream: it feels like being in a bubble thanks to all the well-being in which you are immersed. You are pampered by every service present and by the kindness of the staff, which makes you feel at home. The food is simply divine and you would just like to have a more spacious stomach so you could taste more and more. Nature is unsurpassed, every day you find yourself meeting spectacular creatures even just going out a short distance away. You will not find a similar place in all of Japan, where man meets nature in a perfect combination of balance, harmony and deep respect. We hope to be able to return a third time and relive this beautiful dream again. Thank you for everything Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel!

Calvin ThiaI had an enjoyable stay at Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga. The hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere and is a wonderful place to experience the beauty of Lake Akan.
The service was excellent throughout my stay. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, always greeting guests with a smile and making every interaction pleasant. Their hospitality really enhanced the overall experience.
The onsen facilities were one of the highlights of the hotel. They are spacious, beautifully designed, and have a luxurious feel, offering a great variety of indoor and outdoor baths. The only minor drawback was that the top-floor outdoor bath did not appear to be as clean as the other baths. Overall, the onsen experience was still great.
The room was a little on the compact side, but it was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
Overall, I had a great stay and Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga is a great choice in Lake Akan.

Guest UserStayed in a room with a Ferris wheel view [laughing emoji]. Everyone visiting Sapporo should stay at this hotel directly above Susukino Station! The only minor inconvenience is that the lobby is on the 7th floor of the shopping mall, but otherwise, it's perfect [grinning emoji]. There are two Don Quijote stores nearby, and all major shopping malls are within a 15-minute walk. Tanukikoji shopping street is a guaranteed 5-minute walk (even with waiting for traffic lights). Plus, there are plenty of 24-hour restaurants around the hotel.

Guest UserThis hotel is located on a hilltop, offering fantastic views of both the lake and the sea. We stayed in a lake-view room this time and even caught a fireworks display at night, though they were a bit small. The sunrise in the morning was absolutely beautiful, with a very tranquil lake. While the hotel is a bit older, the amenities and service are still top-notch. I really love this hotel.
