"By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I will not be coming back when I return to Budapest. First thing was the booking details, which clearly stated ”1 full bed”. However when I got to the hotel room, there were two TINY beds instead. If I laid perfectly straight on these beds, my arms nearly fall off the sides. I go to reception and the blonde woman who was there at 11:10pm on Wednesday May 20th told me ”we don't have any large beds in Hungary, we just push two small beds together.” This is a lie, I had just spent 8 days in Budapest at the Park Plaza (also a 4 star hotel) and I slept in a single very large bed every night. When I mentioned this, she just shrugged. No apologies. Why does this matter? Two mattresses pushed together creates a gap that results in aggravating back pain, especially for anyone with spine misalignment like I have. I booked this hotel to go to the airport energized and refreshed, instead I get to go on my international flight exhausted with extreme back pain. Second issue was the water, the absolute hottest that it got was lukewarm. I asked reception about this issue too, same woman said she'd look into it. It was never fixed, no apologies for the inconvenience again. The room was hotter than the ”hot” water. The only positives about this hotel were the decent breakfast and free airport shuttle, but I'd rather have spent $8 on an Uber and had a full bed as promised. I'll be staying at the Ibis Styles or TRIBE next time. They probably don't lie about their rooms."

"This hotel is absolutely amazing! I had a room with a view of the Basilica, and the cathedral was captivating both morning and evening with its grandeur and beauty. Definitely book a room with a view, and on a higher floor if possible – opening the windows wide is an absolute delight! Special thanks to the staff; they were incredibly friendly, responsive, and had excellent English. Everything was wonderful! I enjoyed the breakfasts; they had all the essentials, and the coffee was delicious. The hotel's location is superb, right next to a beautiful street lined with restaurants and terraces, all very clean and cozy. I explored the entire Pest side on foot, returning to the hotel during the day to rest. I highly recommend staying at this hotel to truly enjoy Budapest: it's great value for money and offers excellent quality. But the most important thing, for me, is the view of the cathedral – even the most luxurious five-star hotels in this part of the city don't offer such a view. There's a small restaurant downstairs; I was rushing to the airport and asked them to pack some food for me. The staff carefully packed coffee and sandwiches, generously adding vegetables and meat. It was a small detail among many impressions, but a very pleasant one! I highly recommend this hotel 💗"

"Verdi Budapest Aquicium Hotel has a great quality/price ratio. For a reasonable price you get excellent service in terms of free SPA use with several pools, hot tubs, saunas,...as well excellent breakfast. All the staff is very kind and attentive. Rooms are spacious, though little bit dated. Hotel is not in a prime tourist area, however well connected by public transport. If you arrive by car they have a secure parking lot, but pretty expensive at 16 Euros a day. Hotel is pet friendly which is great."

"Although it's a bit far from the city center, getting around is not an issue if you take trams 2, **, or 23. The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. I had a pleasant stay for a reasonable price and am now checking out."

"Amazing value for money! I'd want to stay here every time I visit Budapest at this price... I think the 3rd-4th floors have a better view than the higher floors. There were room slippers and a bathrobe, but only one of each. Not sure why. Also, if you choose this room type, the drinks in the mini-bar are refilled daily!"

"Continental Comfort in Budapest 🏩 For €260 a night 💶, the “junior suite” delivers big on comfort — a bed you’ll melt into 🛏️, pillows with personality, and a breakfast omelette 🍳 that could win awards. The staff are genuinely lovely 😊, and the building itself has a historic glass dome that makes you stop and stare. Not everything hit the mark — the “wellness centre” (a sauna that’s more lukewarm hug than steamy escape 🧖♂️) and toiletries that smell like disappointment. Luxury touches didn’t quite sparkle, yet the space was clean, practical, and restful 😌. "Conveniently located right by the subway, this hotel is great for business travelers. It has a small balcony, and the room, though a bit compact, was very clean and well-equipped, even with a mini-fridge. My only minor complaint was that the AC couldn't be adjusted and was a bit noisy. The staff were all very friendly, so overall, I had a good experience."

"We stayed at the Hilton Budapest in early July. We had booked a King Danube River Suite / Corner Suite (70 m²) for two nights, but at check-in, we were informed that the hotel had upgraded us to the Presidential Suite with Danube River View (160 m²)! This is the only room of its kind in the entire hotel! The Presidential Suite was absolutely incredible! The room also had a welcome gift from the hotel: a bottle of red wine and two handmade chocolates. We have often favored Hilton hotels for over 25 years, but upgrades have been rare. Hilton Budapest is quite large (322 rooms) and boasts a prime central location on the Buda side of Budapest, offering stunning views of the Danube River and other landmarks on the Pest side of the city. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. The Executive Club Lounge offers a good selection of alcoholic beverages, along with a wide assortment of food and drinks. The food selection can vary, unfortunately, from excellent to quite lackluster. The service, however, is consistently top-notch. In summary: The hotel is centrally located, close to all major attractions. It offers excellent service and cleanliness, as well as fantastic bedding and mesmerizing views of the Danube and Parliament from the window! There are many great places to walk around the hotel, and you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Our immense gratitude goes to the hotel management for the superb service, attention to detail, and the organization of flawless operations, cleanliness, and comfort. It's clear that the management genuinely cares about their guests and puts their heart into their work! Special thanks to the General Manager, Hajnalka Hegedüs, for her efforts and passion, which allow guests to enjoy such impeccable luxury service! This is a hotel we'd love to return to, where you always feel like a valued guest. Hilton Budapest definitely deserves all five stars it has; we can undoubtedly recommend it for a stay and for visiting the city of Budapest! Suggestion: Add background music to the Executive Lounge."
