The location is tucked away inside the ancient houses of Wenrufang in Sanfang Qixiang, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. The traditional Chinese courtyard vibe is fantastic, and it's super convenient for exploring the alleys and lanes. The cleanliness deserves a special shout-out! The room was meticulously cleaned; no water stains or odors in the corners or bathroom. The bedding was clean and soft, and impressively, for an old architectural style, there was no musty smell. It gave me great peace of mind traveling with a child. The ambiance is typical of a new Chinese style within a traditional Minnan ancient house. The courtyard is elegant and serene, with wooden windows and lacquered art摆件 (decorations) that give it a scholarly feel. It’s quiet and not noisy, ensuring an undisturbed night's rest. The parent-child facilities are very thoughtful. They provided special toiletries for children, and the room was spacious with comfortable beds, catering to all the needs of families traveling with kids. The courtyard also offers Hanfu experiences and parent-child treasure hunts, which my child absolutely loved. The service was warm and attentive. The staff responded promptly, patiently addressing all our requests and communicating kindly and helpfully. Breakfast was a delightful surprise! There was a rich variety, catering to both adults and children, including many local Fuzhou snacks. The ingredients were fresh and light, perfect for children. Dining in the ancient courtyard setting truly amplified the experience. This is an excellent choice for a short family trip to Fuzhou. Next time we visit Sanfang Qixiang with our child, we'll definitely choose this place again!"

"I've always had a good impression of Conrad, but the service at Conrad Xiamen this time was really disappointing. I checked in on August 5th and 7th. On the 6th, I pressed the 'do not disturb' button. In the afternoon, I received a call asking when I'd like my room cleaned. I gave them a time, and then shortly after, I got another call asking the same thing. I don't understand the point of the 'do not disturb' sign or the first call. Around 8 PM, a staff member brought me a complimentary sweet soup, and when I asked why I hadn't received it the night before, she said they were too busy. That evening, I complained to the front desk. The next day, when I checked out, the lobby manager, Ms. Shen (2459), told me that as a resolution, they would refund a small portion of my room fee and waive the dining expenses during my stay. I then left the hotel. On the way, I received a call from Trip.com, saying that for the hotel to refund a small part of the room fee, I would need to cancel my order, which meant I wouldn't be able to leave a review. I disagreed. Afterwards, as shown in picture two, Ms. Shen called me three more times. There was no apology or intention to improve service; she just wanted me to compromise. In the last call, she even started by saying that my 2000 deposit hadn't been refunded, trying to threaten me into compromising and canceling the order. She also constantly interrupted me. I told her I would complain about her as well and hoped someone else would respond to my two complaints. On the evening of August 8th, as shown in picture three, a woman claiming to be from customer relations called. I was unable to take the call at the time, and she promised to call me back the next day. Now it's the third day, and I still haven't received a call. I feel that the hotel has no sincerity or intention to resolve the issue, which is why I'm writing this negative review. Separately, the Hainanese chicken rice from room service was also very bad. The chicken was dry and fishy, and even the rice tasted like it was from yesterday. At the hotel's Michelin-recommended Chinese restaurant, Luchenxuan (2026), I ordered a Boston lobster mapo tofu. It wasn't spicy, numbing, fresh, or fragrant; it was bland and had a beany taste. When the waiter asked for my feedback at checkout, they immediately waived the charge for that dish. At least the restaurant service was acceptable, but the service from the front desk and customer relations department is completely unworthy of a five-star hotel."

"Over the years, the Shangri-La hotel that left the deepest impression on me was the one in Jing'an, Shanghai. Coming to Putian, I wanted to relive that experience, and sure enough, during check-in, I immediately recognized that unique Shangri-La style. The location is superb, within walking distance of Hangcheng Metro Station and a commercial area. Changle High-Speed Rail is just 2 km away. Upon entering the lobby, I was offered welcome tea. The front desk was efficient with check-in and even proactively arranged a high-floor lake view room for me. Room: Spacious (standard room 40㎡+), with floor-to-ceiling windows offering great city/lake views. The branded mattress was just right, offering excellent support, and the bedding from a well-known brand was very comfortable. Soundproofing was excellent. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toilet room was independent and odor-free. The toiletries had a pleasant fragrance. Breakfast: The buffet offered both Chinese and Western options. There was a Fuzhou specialty station for 'lao mian'/'lao fen', freshly cooked eggs, and a rich selection of fresh fruits and desserts. Replenishments were prompt. Service: Staff members proactively smiled and greeted guests, and their response time was quick. Overall, it's standard five-star quality. I would definitely choose this hotel again for both business trips and vacations!"

The grand entrance features a pair of white elephant sculptures, stately and imposing. The entire glass-curtained building directly faces the West Lake. Upon entering, the lobby displays a calligraphy plaque reading 'First Building of Lake and Mountain Scenery,' creating a strong Chinese traditional atmosphere. The location is its biggest advantage. Stepping out, you're immediately on the West Lake walking path, perfect for an evening stroll or a morning jog. It's only a ten-minute drive from Sanfang Qixiang, making sightseeing very convenient. It's a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, without the noise typically found in city hotels. II. Guest Room: New Chinese Luxury, Spacious with Top-Notch Amenities The guest rooms feature a modernized New Chinese style, with dark wood finishes paired with ink-wash orchid paintings, creating a calm and elegant color scheme. The room is very spacious, avoiding any cramped feeling. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the city's buildings, and you can even catch the sunset in the evening. The bedding is soft and thick, complemented by two sets of pillows, ensuring a great night's sleep. A curved leisure sofa is tucked in the corner, and the desk is large, perfectly adequate for business travelers. The minibar thoughtfully includes seasonal fruits. The independent bathroom is fully tiled with marble and features both a bathtub and a separate shower, ensuring clear wet and dry zones. The mirrored vanity cabinet provides ample storage, the bathroom lighting is soft, and the toiletries are comprehensive. There are no flaws to be found in the hardware configuration. III. "Let me give a thorough review! Excellent service: Xiaomi contacted me a day in advance, added me on WeChat, asked about my needs, and even upgraded my room for free. This kind of service isn't even guaranteed at big-brand hotels like Intercontinental these days. Upon arrival, the service was proactive; a young staff member offered to help with our luggage, and the front desk staff were very polite, offering afternoon tea vouchers and welcome fruit. Food delivery was handled by a robot, which was very fast. Great amenities: The bed was incredibly comfortable; I actually slept two full, restful nights, better than at home. You can swap pillows for free, and the memory foam pillow I got was very comfortable. The mini-fridge had complimentary Coke, Sprite, and chips. The two 1.35m double beds were enough for our family of two adults and two children. The toilet was smart, and the hairdryer was good too. Both the hallways and rooms were very clean. Oh, and the hotel is right above a subway station, only 5 stops from Gu Mountain! Overall, everything was fantastic! I'd definitely consider staying here again or recommending it to friends on my next visit!"
