"Our family had such a wonderful stay at Funny Lion! From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel so welcome, comfortable, and completely stress-free throughout our visit. The warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail truly made this a memorable experience for all of us.
A very special thank you to the General Manager for leading such an outstanding team, and to Janine for being extra patient, kind, and incredibly helpful during our stay. She truly went above and beyond to make sure my questions and requests were attended to. Huge thanks as well to all the rest of the staff members who were consistently friendly abd attentive in every way.
We also really enjoyed the food at Hunt Restaurant — definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and taste made it worth it. We originally wanted to dine at C75 as well, but it was fully booked, so I highly recommend making reservations in advance. The buffet breakfast was also very good, although the spread was a little limited.
The pool was very well maintained, and we appreciated that water activities like kayaking were included free of charge. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit the resort sandbar due to unexpected boat issues.
The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with lovely little touches like fresh fruit juice and daily snacks that made the stay feel extra special.
Overall, it was such a warm, relaxing, and enjoyable family getaway. Thank you, Funny Lion, for the amazing hospitality — we can’t wait to come back!"

"Local airport vehicle pick-up/ship on and off the island: 4000P if purchased separately, but this is the worst part of the experience. First of all, it is difficult to contact, and no one responds to emails. On the return journey, a boat of people came out together. I wanted to leave at 1:00 pm after lunch. When I checked out at 11:00, the front desk said that I would take the 12:00 boat to leave. But some people were late and waited until 12:45 to leave. They felt that the time was set for those who obeyed the rules, and there was no fixed timetable.

"We booked aziza when in still in korea.so when i reach pinas no more hassle.Its a grauation gift for my 3 children since i just 2 weeks to stay in pinas its our family bonding.the moment i step in airport 2 kuya's are very polite they have pick up and drop off which is very convenient.Receptionist is very friendly and amazing always wear a smile in their faces.Instead of booking a tour we decided not to since the hotel having a very good amenities.Breakfast is fantastic pancakes are verry cute.What trully Aziza unique from the people whos working from their hearts

"This hotel is situated slightly back from the beach bars which are only a few minutes stroll away. Its on a busy road and traffic noise can be heard from the apartments that face the road, ear plugs are provided both traffic did die down late evening.
The rooms are spacious and clean with air-conditioning, they do not have an elevator but bags were taken up by the porters who gave a great service.
The staff are very helpful and polite, go that extra step to help you, they have a nice bar and good seating area with some seating along side the swimming pool.
Break fast was good with plenty of choice with Ann egg station to where you could order your desired omelet.
Wifi was also qood with plenty of plugs down stairs in the lounge.
The beds were comfy but made a clattering noise when changing sleeping position, its only my opinion but to me the pillows were too large, would preferred slimmer pillows.
I would recommend this hotel if your going to stay in El Nido, great location not near any boom boom bars the are alive till the early morning, what our stay at this hotel special was the staff that made our stay most welcome and all being on first name terms."

"We booked a night in the Lila villa and it was exceptional! One of the most comfortable stays in the Philippines. The bed was amazing, the shower was awesome and for once the little fridge was stacked with goodies. The staff was so kind and sweet. "There were two adults and two kids in our group, and we were hauling two huge suitcases, a big backpack, and a stroller. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle, and being able to coordinate that with them right after booking gave us peace of mind. The moment we pulled up to the hotel, the staff ran out to help carry our bags upstairs before we even had to ask. Seeing that kind of efficiency and initiative in a beach destination is a huge plus. They have water dispensers on every floor, which is so convenient and eco-friendly for when the kids suddenly get thirsty. They also provide free coffee packets in the room, which is a total lifesaver for getting me through the first ten minutes every morning. "This is an excellent hotel. Both the service and the room's facilities, hardware and software, are outstanding. They offer welcome coconuts, a minibar with healthy drinks, and even turn-down service at night. The TV has all major platforms and free movies. The room feels spacious and the bed is large and comfortable. All staff members, from the front desk to the restaurant and even the lifeguards, are friendly and polite. I really appreciate their conversations and service.
However, I must mention that the hotel is currently in a 'soft-run' phase. During the day, there's a lot of ongoing renovation and occasional construction noise in various areas, and the spa is not yet complete. The dining options are limited (though every dish I had was delicious). Also, the rooms have a smart power detection system that automatically shuts off power, including the mini-fridge, when no one is in the room. This means drinks can't stay cold all the time, and charging your phone while you're out of the room isn't reliable.
Despite these points, I still highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is relaxing, perfect for unwinding and taking peaceful walks by the sea – it's truly wonderful."

I made the best choice in picking ERYM to host us during our Coron trip! It was very convenient for us (2 Adults, 1 Senior). Staff were soooo friendly and their service is excellent! Food is nice too! Really had fun with their songs to welcome and say goodbye. El Rio had everything we needed and we didn’t have to stress about anything aside from wanting to get back so soon!

Very friendly staff, committed to give the best service to their guests. We intentionally booked Nacpan as a location (instead of El Nido center) to have a more relaxed atmosphere. Totally happy to stay at Nacpan Beach Villa as one resort of equal review a step further north had blaring music the whole day. The facilities are clean and modern, the amenities good, the equipment easy to handle. The beach is clean(!), no garbage, no plastic(!) - please keep it that way. Really incomparably clean, meaning: even if you dig with your feet in the seabed, no junk comes up (Nusa Dua - best beach in Bali - did not pass this test).

”One thing worth knowing if you’re travelling with kids: there are no children’s facilities, no waterslides, nothing like that. This is the kind of place that makes adults want to slow down. As for the kids, the pool isn’t deep, and right next door is Lio Beach. They also have footballs and volleyballs to borrow. We sat at a nearby café eating ice cream while watching them play, and I think that’s honestly one of the best things a parent can experience.
There’s a hotel shuttle roughly every hour that you can book to go into town. We arranged island hopping through the hotel, took the shuttle to the departure point in the morning, and found the area there had far more restaurants and shops than around the hotel. After the tour we stayed a bit longer in town before heading back, though not being able to shower straight away was a slight downside.
On the room itself, two sinks is a mum’s dream. There’s a kitchen but I had no intention of cooking. Still, being able to wash fruit and have it ready was genuinely useful. Two large double beds, both very comfortable, and after a full day of activity the kids were asleep before we even had to ask.”

We stayed for a night at this hidden villa, and it felt like a true home away from home. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, providing excellent service that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a healthy breakfast offered in the morning. You can even request a floating breakfast, which added a special touch to the experience. While the villa is tucked away down a short gravel road, the peaceful and private setting made it worth the effort.
The villa is kid-friendly, but families should be cautious around the tiled swimming pool area. There’s no TV, so if you’re traveling with children, make sure their devices are charged. Fortunately, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing stay with amazing food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this villa for a cozy and memorable getaway.

Nice hotel with good rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to have a very relaxed policy for its guests. In the restaurant, a man can walk in and eat with a sweaty upper body, and the staff won't say anything. If there's a party with young people at the pool, with shouting and a lot of drinking, the staff also don't intervene. It's a real shame for the class such a hotel normally projects.

I had such a wonderful and relaxing stay at this resort. From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and effortless. I was greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, check-in was seamless, and my bags were taken straight to my room which made the arrival feel extra special.
The room itself was spacious and very clean. I was pleasantly surprised with welcome chocolates and brownies, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room was fully equipped with everything you’d need: bottled water, a hairdryer, toiletries, a coffee station, and a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks for purchase. It felt comfortable and well-prepared for guests.
One thing that really impressed me was the laundry service. They had my clothes washed and returned within three hours, which was incredibly convenient and efficient.
The pool area is absolutely stunning and very clean. They have three restaurants on site, which gives great variety. I ordered poolside nachos with a carrot and apple drink and it was delicious. Breakfast is a proper buffet, leaning toward a full English-style spread with plenty of options.
That said, I do think the bathroom could use a bit of attention. Water leaked through the shower door when showering, the shower head could benefit from a deep clean, and I noticed a few drain flies. It didn’t ruin my stay, but it’s an area that could definitely be improved.
I also experienced a small issue at checkout. They were unable to provide change when I was settling my bill, which delayed things. There were only two staff members assisting with checkout, and although I was scheduled to leave at 6:00am with a breakfast pack, I only managed to leave at 6:30am and unfortunately without the breakfast.
Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay. The resort is beautiful, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. With a little more attention to bathroom maintenance and smoother early-morning checkout coordination, it would be close to perfect. I would still happily return.

Matinloc Island is truly one of the best places to visit in El Nido, Palawan. The island offers not only breathtaking natural beauty but also an unforgettable experience thanks to its delicious food and wonderful staff.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. They treated us like family and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish.
The cooking was excellent — every meal was freshly prepared and full of flavor. The seafood was especially amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and served with care we very love the steam fish. Big thank you for the chef 10/10,dining by the beach while enjoying the view made the experience even more special.
The room design was modern, with touches of tropical style that made it feel warm and relaxing. The large windows and balcony offered stunning views of the beach and ocean — waking up to the sound of the waves and the sight of crystal-clear water was simply magical. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the room was well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
We also appreciated how well-maintained and spotless everything was. The staff made sure our room was always tidy and fresh, and they were quick to assist with any requests. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with good water pressure and quality toiletries provided.
Aside from the food and service, the island itself is absolutely stunning. With its crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and peaceful atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to relax, explore, and take beautiful photos. Guest UserThe hotel was in a super nice area of El Nido, and therefore I would highly recommend. But the hotel itself was too expensive for what you get, the room smelled like urine and when we told the staff they’d put in a air refresher that gave of a really strong sweet smell for a couple of hours and after that the urine smell was back again so they tried to cover it instead of fixing the problem. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. You should not eat or drink at the hotel as it is crazy expensive and you can get very nice food/coffee at a 2 minute walk.

The hotel is nice, the room was big, we did switch room on second day for better view. The hotel was literally at 100% occupancy. The housekeeping was very efficient and so is the repair team. The location is very remote with not much around, so if you want to just relax, swim, and read a book, this is the perfect location. The hotel has a restaurant, a pool bar, a spa, a 24 hours gym, a pickle ball court, a large outdoor pool, and direct access to beach. On the positive side, the staff are so nice, very friendly, attend to your needs very efficiently. Honestly, I am super impressed that my room is always clean on time, there are always clean towels at the pool, this is extremely challenging for a fully booked hotel, which also was hosting a wedding and a conference during Valentine’s Day weekend and Chinese new years at the same time. On the negatives side, the carpet was dirty in both rooms, the AC was leaking and the toilet seat was broken, both were fixed right away. Because it is remote, we ate most of our meals in the hotel. The F&B program was not very well designed, options were limited for both breakfast and dinner buffet; after 3 days it feels a little like eating canteen food. Both my son and husband had salad on first day, while I only ate cooked food, so they were both pretty sick for the rest of the stay. Meanwhile, the operation team at the restaurant was clearly not ready for full occupancy, any order could easily take ＞45 mins and many local dishes were not available for days because lacking of LOCAL ingredients. They even ran out of ice cream at dinner, something that could have been stocked well in advance, unlike fresh vegetables. So any meal could take 1.5 - 2.0 hours. Again, the ataff was wonderful, they were doing everything they can to help. However, the management team really need to plan better for high season.
