"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel G Yangon, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations! First and foremost, the fitness center is absolutely fantastic. As someone who tries to maintain my workout routine while traveling, I was thoroughly impressed by the state-of-the-art gym facilities. The equipment is modern, well-maintained, and comprehensive – whether you're into cardio, weight training, or functional fitness, you'll find everything you need. The space is clean, spacious, and never overcrowded, making it a true haven for fitness enthusiasts. The location is simply unbeatable. Situated in the heart of Yangon, Hotel G offers unparalleled access to the city's most iconic landmarks. I was able to walk effortlessly to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the historic Sule Pagoda, and several beautiful parks in the vicinity. This prime location not only saved me time and transportation costs but also allowed me to immerse myself in the local atmosphere and discover hidden gems along the way. The convenience of having such major attractions within walking distance truly enhanced my cultural experience. The service here is nothing short of exceptional. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. From the concierge who provided invaluable local insights to the housekeeping team who maintained impeccable standards of cleanliness, the attention to detail and genuine care for guests was evident in every interaction. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request made me feel truly valued as a guest. Safety and security were never a concern during my stay. The hotel maintains excellent security measures, and I felt completely at ease throughout my visit. Whether returning late in the evening or leaving early in the morning, the well-lit surroundings and attentive security staff provided complete peace of mind. "The hotel is a bit old, but it's so clean you wouldn't know it. The 24-hour convenience store inside the hotel is incredibly handy. We also enjoyed a lovely meal by Inya Lake. The only drawback? You absolutely need a taxi to get anywhere. That said, it's probably the same no matter which hotel you stay at in Yangon during the rainy season."

"This hotel boasts a super convenient downtown location, surrounded by numerous restaurants, shops, and even a shopping mall. However, be aware that it gets very crowded with people and traffic during the day, and can feel a bit chaotic at night. The staff are well-trained and genuinely helpful, and the overall service, including housekeeping, is excellent. The room was spacious – perhaps even too big for one person. The bathroom facilities were clean and easy to use. My only minor wish is that the lighting in the room could be a bit brighter. Breakfast was decent, but it felt a little less impressive compared to other hotels in Yangon in the same price range. If you enjoy Chinese or Indian cuisine, you'll probably find it satisfactory. Overall, if you're looking for comfort and a central downtown location, this hotel is definitely a solid choice."

"Location is basically good but not easy to find shops nearby, Inya lake is just on the opposite side of the road but have to walk long way from the hotel room because the hotel is situated in the inward inlet. There's no water bottle in the room but instead guests have to go to the hallway to use the water server machine, which never gave cold enough water. This is an European hotel and says a lot about eco-friendly or sustainable stuff, but it means downgraded service compared to other hotels run by Korea or Singapore. Breakfast is simply superb and I liked very much.  Overall good hotel but it is recommended those who can sacrifice comfort for the sake of some peculiar things like sustainability."

"Everything was very nicely arranged. Except for the pool when i came to the level where the pool should be. There was smoke everywhere around the pool and it was not a safe experience. In my observation it looked like an electroc cable was melting and causing the smoke"

"Overall worth the price. There’s free buffet breakfast, nice lake nearby, and courteous staff. Not near the city center though"

"I prefer Wyndham as a solo traveler but going with my partner, we decided on a bigger room and the 2 bedroom offered by Kantharyar was perfect. Dual washer and dryer saved me from hotel laundry service. Rooms are big, housekeeping came daily, checking in was quick and easy. Can't complain, service and amenities are superb. The Kantharyar come with the same amenities as Wyndham, you get the pool, small gym, and there's a shopping mall right next door."
