"My stay at Ureshino Onsen Yoshidaya Uchiroji Hondori (also known as Yadoya Uchiroji Hondori) was a tale of two extremes in the charming hot spring town of Ureshino, Saga Prefecture. The hotel was modern Japanese-style with smart check-in system. The twin room was spacious, impeccably clean, and exude serene comfort, making it a perfect retreat. The private onsen facilities truly shine— It was a free slot with 40 mins, which could be booked once via QR Code at the room. Ureshino's famous sodium-rich hot springs, renowned as one of Japan's top three for beautifying the skin, deliver silky-smooth water that leaves you feeling rejuvenated. However, the meal plan was a major letdown. I sent an email to the hotel to confirm my booking and stated I did not eat beef before. The customer service replied I had to pay extra per person in order to change the meat option. For over JPY 38,000 per night including breakfast and dinner, we anticipated premium kaiseki cuisine or traditional served Japanese dinner set. Instead, only a bento box with cold salad and an underwhelming beef and egg pie that felt mismatched for the price. Tragically, my husband experienced vomiting shortly after, likely food-related, which overshadowed our trip. And the breakfast was also disappointing, which was only cold sandwiches with a cup of tea or milk. Thus, I strongly recommend the hotel clearly states the exact contents of dinner and breakfast plans on booking sites—including detailed menus or photos—and offers flexible options, such as plan changes or alternatives, if guests fall ill from the food. This transparency and adaptability would greatly enhance the experience and prevent frustration."

"Ureshino Onsen ♨️ They say your skin feels amazing after a soak, and it truly lives up to its reputation! I'd definitely come back again. This onsen hotel included breakfast and dinner with the booking. We stayed in a two-story villa, which is a bit further from the main building, about a few minutes' walk. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel offers a shuttle service, so the service is excellent. Check-in was naturally quick. The main building has an outdoor bath and various other baths, but since they're not that big, it can be hard to get a spot at night. Our villa had a private onsen, so we could take our time soaking in the room. The kaiseki meals for both breakfast and dinner were also quite good. I'd recommend booking it – we really enjoyed it!"

"This was my second stay, and it was even better than the first! Last time, they only offered a free shuttle from the station, but this time they've added a complimentary bus to the station as well. Both the buffet breakfast and dinner were great and offered excellent value for money. It's also super close to attractions and bus stops, making it very convenient for getting around."

"Nicely designed hotel. But rooms are small and tight. Not easy to walk around. Location a little off the center of Saga City but lots of car parking available. Service was good and helpful. And you can even buy a fireworks and play!"

The rooms are significantly larger than typical hotel rooms and offer beautiful views. The hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor, are comfortably warm, allowing for long, relaxing soaks in a clean and pleasant environment. The only downside was that the dinner provided wasn't quite to my Chinese palate."

"I recommend staying in the East Wing; it's newer. There are so many activities available, remember to bring your swimsuit! On the 8th floor, there's an open-air hot spring pool. On the 2nd floor, the relaxation area has four saunas; follow the marked order and timings for a full 26-minute session. At 3 PM, there's a complimentary welcome cake in the hotel lobby. Both the included dinner and breakfast are buffet-style and the food was plentiful and delicious."

"Saga doesn't have a vast selection of hotels. Traveling with my parents, I picked this one for its Japanese-style room, hoping they could experience sleeping on a tatami mat. When we arrived, it wasn't yet check-in time. However, the hotel kindly allowed us to complete the check-in formalities and store our luggage. We then headed straight out to explore the nearby Prefectural Office and grab some lunch. Upon our return in the afternoon, we simply collected our room key and went directly upstairs. Our luggage had already been conveniently placed in our room. The room wasn't particularly large; it felt a bit cramped for three people. We coordinated with the front desk before heading out for the evening, and they came in to lay out the futons while we were gone. Breakfast is served on the first floor. Looking at the price displayed at the entrance, I'd say it wouldn't offer great value for money if purchased separately. Additionally, as Saga isn't a very bustling city, if you're particular about dining options, staying closer to the station might be more convenient."

"After booking the hotel, I was hesitant and worried that it would be bad. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel! Everything is better than expected ^_^Small but beautiful! The front desk staff are friendly and attentive. There was a young man from China at the front desk who gave a detailed introduction to the hotel facilities, dinner reservation times and some sightseeing suggestions in Chinese. On Chinese New Year's Eve, I met a Japanese lady at the hotel front desk (who spoke very fluent English) who gave guests free drinks to celebrate the New Year, which made people feel cordial and warm. There are few people in the hotel's hot springs and they are very clean. Basically every time I go, the restaurant is reserved;) Dinner is a major feature of the hotel and worth experiencing. Although the ingredients don't look amazing, they are actually carefully prepared and high-quality ingredients. The cooking method is not very flashy, which is probably the characteristic of Ureshino. I ate every meal until I couldn't finish it. The Saga beef melts in your mouth, the tiny pufferfish is extremely delicious, the crabs are sweet and plump...^_^The soup tofu for breakfast is soft, glutinous and smooth in the mouth, without any beany smell, and the rich bean aroma is unforgettable. The appearance picture of the hotel on Ctrip’s official website is different from the actual one! This is actually the first photo I took of this! Much better than what is shown on the official website! Best hotel for traveling with parents!"

"Hotel: New and clean facilities. A hotel shuttle can be booked to and from the hotel. The driver mentioned that the developer is the same company that built Ureshino Onsen Station, so they want to heavily develop tourism in the area. Ureshino has 17 hot springs, and this hotel occupies two of them. The water at this hotel is slightly slippery, but not as slippery as in Takeo Onsen. We didn't choose to have dinner at the hotel. There are Italian restaurants and izakayas nearby, and a supermarket is about a 15-minute walk away. The breakfast is plentiful. What I liked most was that each room has a private bath with hot spring water. A minor hiccup: When traveling to Ureshino Onsen, I started from Hakata, then transferred to the Shinkansen at Takeo Onsen. It turns out that the IC card cannot be used to exit the gate at Ureshino Onsen Shinkansen Station; a ticket is required. Furthermore, the IC card cannot be cancelled at the same station; the procedure must be completed at Takeo Station for the return trip. It is highly recommended to buy physical tickets if transferring at Takeo Onsen."
