"It was a realy great hotel, on walking distance from everything we wanted to see and do. The room itself was really nice and the breakfast that was included was really good. Any breakfast where I can get boiled eggs is great but I mean this breakfast is extensively and of high quality! Never had my matcha dessert but maybe that was a good thing for my waistline. My friend said it was really good! I would definitely go back there! Just for the breakfast alone so only thing you need is kobe beef in the evening to have had enough food for the whole day."

"The coastal drive to the hotel was beautiful as the hotel Was located along the sea. The room is large and spacious and clean. We could see the sea from our room and that was refreshing. The Kaiseki dinner was delicious and flavourful and the breakfast spread was good. Hotel Provided free ramen on the evenings; broth was flavourful with koji berries and there’s even a quarter of an onsen egg. Staffs were polite and professional. Highly recommended."

"This hotel is wonderfully located in a quiet and secluded spot. The staff are friendly and helpful with everything. We had a room with a garden view, a waterfall, and direct access to the garden. Special thanks for that! Regarding the food: If you choose breakfast and dinner, note that dinner service is 2 hours long, and breakfast is 1 hour. Keep this in mind when planning your day. The meals are served in classic Japanese style at the hotel restaurant. Food is served in courses, and everything is fresh and delicious. There's a lot of food – in fact, it was almost too much for me. Dinner, especially, offers an enormous amount of food: fish, crab, appetizers, and so on. The hotel staff, particularly Kunvar Niruta from Nepal, assisted us with everything, including explaining how to properly eat the various dishes. For the onsens: there are private baths with fruits and flowers, which can be booked once a day for 40 minutes. There are also other private baths with unlimited usage time, and public baths available. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus to the station. Everything about the hotel is good: it's beautiful, cozy, interesting, and authentic. The only minor inconvenience was the short faucet in the bathroom sink, which was quite awkward. Otherwise, everything was excellent."

"It takes some walk to the busy main road. But the shuttle service is good. The hotel and everything is new, the in house hot spring is also very nice but only a small soda machine at the hot spring area. Would be nice if there’s more selection of snacks/drinks post hot spring. Very nice dinner menu, detailed design and impressive presentation."

"The place is really small. The onsen is the smallest I’ve ever seen. Probably only fits 3. Not what I expected. Not sure if due to Christmas season, the price was particularly high without including dinner. I expected more with that price. Staff were nice and overall look and feel of hotel is friendly. But small! I would consider other onsen places in Awaji next time."

When I booked, I requested a high floor, and the hotel seemed to have noted it because they assigned me a room on the 9th floor, which was great. As soon as I opened the curtains, there was plenty of sunshine. We arrived at 2 PM, but check-in wasn't until 3 PM. The room isn't huge, but the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is a big plus. There's also a small sofa and table. You can ask for skincare products and face masks at the front desk daily, and there's free ice cream and coffee from 8-10 PM. Don Quijote is right across from the hotel, making it super convenient for shopping and stocking up. There are also plenty of restaurants around the hotel, and the airport shuttle stop is very close, about a 10-minute walk. Overall, this hotel is quite good.

The hygiene was impeccable, and the front desk staff spoke excellent English. The room size was quite generous for Japan, easily accommodating a 28-inch suitcase fully open. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from JR Sannomiya, a straight shot down one road. Breakfast was at Matsuya downstairs, with two Japanese and two Western set meal options, which was more than enough.

Returning to the Sannomiya Grand Hotel in Kobe from Nagasaki was an absolute dream! All the fatigue from my long journey simply melted away. The room was quiet and cozy, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable that I slept like a baby. In the morning, I enjoyed a leisurely and hearty breakfast buffet with a great selection of both Japanese and Western dishes – every bite was delicious. The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to transportation, and the service is incredibly attentive. This is already my fifth or sixth time staying here, and it's definitely my top choice when I come to Kobe! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. ✨

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel's modern and stylish design impressed me right away. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff at Hotel Vischio Amagasaki were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. They went above and beyond to cater to my needs and make my stay memorable. From helpful recommendations for local attractions to efficient check-in and check-out processes, their level of service was top-notch. One of the highlights of my stay was the dining experience at the hotel's restaurant. The food was exquisite, showcasing a fusion of local and international flavors. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, catering to different dietary preferences. The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. Whether I wanted to explore the city or relax in the hotel's spa facilities, everything was within reach. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Vischio Amagasaki to anyone visiting the area. Extremely disappointed. The onsen (hot spring) was tiny, and the steps inside were uncomfortably high. They also offered very few amenities. For dinner, as a small woman, I only felt about 80% full, and there were very few extra items available to order. Apart from the front desk staff, most employees only spoke Japanese, which made communication a bit difficult, but everyone was very friendly. The pillows and blankets were incredibly uncomfortable. I tried all three in the closet, and they were still bad; I even woke up with a stiff neck. The blanket was incredibly thick, and I woke up in a sweat in the middle of the night. The most ridiculous thing was that construction started outside at 8:30 AM... I can't believe a resort onsen hotel can't escape the noise. The hotel seems to be the furthest one in the area. I walked there, and thankfully the weather was good and the scenery along the way was nice. The shuttle bus is too small; after checking out at 10 AM, I had to wait until the 10:40 AM service. But it's too far to walk, so I had to take it anyway...

The location is fantastic, making it convenient to go anywhere. It's a 5-minute walk from where the bus drops you off in Kobe after visiting USJ, and the Kansai Airport bus stop is just a 3-minute walk away. The JR station is right downstairs, making it perfect for traveling with one child. The hotel staff are also very enthusiastic. You can ask the staff for toiletries and amenities. On the last day, a Chinese-speaking staff member even chatted with my child while they were getting their luggage. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that the rooms are a bit small and the price is relatively high.

A good ryokan. The room was large and comfortable, and the staff were polite. Even though the hotel is very old (you can feel it in places), it's very clean and cozy. The koi on the terrace are a bit of a mixed bag: The koi are beautiful, but they look scared and have very little space. I didn't get any aesthetic pleasure from them – I was more worried. Pros: - Amazing service - Very atmospheric room - Fantastic kaiseki dinner - Good breakfast - A pass is provided for all local onsens (you'll need to pay a symbolic 400 yen per visit to the onsens, but there are no restrictions on how many onsens you can visit, and you can even visit them for a couple of hours after check-out). Cons: - No smoking in the room or on the room's terrace (this is probably because their Gonzaemon hotel, where you *could* smoke, burned down nearby). - The air conditioner only heats the main room; the other rooms (hallway, bathroom, toilet) are very cold. - The hot tub is very small (it's photographed in a way that makes it look bigger). - The convenience store (combini) is very far away. - There are shared hot springs and a private bath in the adjacent building (you need to book in advance, and the last entry is at 11 PM). - The yukatas are rather simple compared to other local ryokans.

Located close to the station, with department stores, hot springs, and walking paths all within walking distance, you can enjoy yourself all day long without having to travel far. Because it was a day off for the main theater, there were few guests, and the staff were exceptionally helpful, making for a very comfortable stay.

We had a great 1 night stay at this hotel! This was a wonderful experience! Although we only spent 1 night here, as this was meant to be an overnight stop between cities in our travel road trip, this left such a good impression on us, that we would like to come back to Akashi just to stay in this hotel again. The architecture and the hotel design is very cool, 50's kind of vibe, but it's new of course. The hotel has a club lounge where we could unwind after the drive with complimentary snacks and drinks, including alcohol, and all was free and unlimited. The room was super spacious and designed nicely, with a huge hot tube jacuzzi, and since we took the ocean view room, the view overlooking the ocean and bridge was just breath-taking 👌 The breakfast was just right, and they totally accommodated my meal requests and accomplished to have a very good result... 5 stars here and I would totally want to come back!

The hotel is located in a somewhat remote area on a mountain, but they offer a shuttle service. We called the hotel from the visitor center, and a car arrived within minutes. Since we had stayed at another onsen hotel the previous night with luggage storage, we asked the driver if he could take us to collect our luggage before checking into Arima Princess Hotel. He readily agreed. The service was excellent. The hotel has indoor red bath (lighter) and silver bath, but unfortunately, there's no open-air bath. They also took us to the station when we left.
