"This hotel has an excellent location — right in front of Hisayaodori Subway Station Exit 4, which made getting around extremely convenient. There’s also a 7-Eleven just next door, and right behind the hotel is a lively district filled with restaurants, cafés, bars, supermarkets, and malls. It connects directly to Oasis and Sakae, so everything is within easy walking distance. I chose a shower-only room since I rarely use a bathtub. The sink being located outside the bathroom was actually a plus for me, as it provided better lighting for makeup. The room also had a large window, which made the space feel more open and comfortable. One of the main reasons I didn’t use the shower much is because the hotel has a really nice public bath. It’s very comfortable, with both indoor and semi-outdoor areas. I absolutely loved this facility — it was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel also collaborates with a luggage courier service that can send your suitcase to a building next to Nagoya Station (not directly inside the station), which is very convenient. I booked a room with breakfast, and although the selection was simple, everything tasted really good. There were real, hearty dishes, soup, some Western options, as well as desserts, coffee, and tea — all complete and very comforting. Some of the menu items also changed daily, which I really appreciated. I was very happy with the food overall. The lobby is beautiful, with high ceilings, large windows, and very comfortable sofas. The staff were generally helpful, but I did encounter one issue. Aside from 2 staff members (who I believe may have been of Indian descent), the Japanese staff did not speak English. While I understand this can happen, I think having basic English skills would be very helpful, especially since this hotel accommodates many international guests. When I asked about the luggage courier service, I felt like I was being passed around between staff. Another staff member came out to assist, but unfortunately, they also did not speak English and did not attempt to use a translation app. Instead, they tried to explain using pen and paper, which made the situation quite confusing. I felt there was very little effort to communicate clearly, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has great facilities and an unbeatable location. I hope the communication aspect can be improved, as I would definitely stay here again when visiting Nagoya. Thank you!"

"I can only say that the price we paid when booking 2 months in advance was somewhat justified for this hotel. The exterior looks decent, but the inside is very old and worn. My biggest complaint is about the escalator. Since the front desk is on the second floor and we arrived around 2 PM, the escalator was only going down 😓. There were stairs next to it, but our luggage was too heavy for us girls to carry up. After searching for a long time, we found that if you want to use the elevator, you have to go through the main entrance, then turn left and follow a 'secret' path. There's a button 🔘 at the entrance; press it to let the front desk know you're checking in, and they'll open the door! However, when we came back in the evening, the escalator was going up 😓. Maybe we just arrived at the wrong time! Service: The female receptionist's attitude was mediocre, no smile, and she seemed rather unenthusiastic. She felt a bit stern! Facilities: The hot springs ♨️ on the third floor downstairs are quite nice and seem to have been renovated recently. They feel out of place with the old, worn-out hotel! The room facilities themselves are quite complete, but the soundproofing is a bit poor!"

"This hotel is super convenient, just about a 10-minute walk from Nagoya Station, which is perfect if you're catching a JR train. Downstairs, there's an Ichiran Ramen, a convenience store, and an underground shopping street, so you don't have to worry about bad weather when you're out and about. The room itself is a bit small; it was a tight squeeze to open two large suitcases. However, the yukata (robe) was really comfortable, and they even have a public bath, so it really has everything you need (you can also grab face masks at the front desk)."

Hotel near Kanayama,Nagoya
ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Grand Court Nagoya, Directly connected to Kanayama Station—one of Nagoya’s key transportation hubs—the hotel provides effortless access to JR, Meitetsu, and subway lines. Reach Nagoya Station in just 5 minutes, or travel directly to Central Japan International Airport (Centrair) in approximately 30 minutes with no transfers required—ideal for both first-time visitors and frequent travelers. High-floor rooms provide panoramic views of the city skyline, ideal for enjoying stunning sunsets and nightscapes. On-site restaurants serve both authentic Japanese dishes and international favorites, offering a true taste of Nagoya without leaving the hotel. The hotel is an excellent base for exploring the city. Visit the historic Nagoya Castle in 20 minutes, enjoy shopping and nightlife in Sakae District (10 minutes), and explore the traditional charm of Osu Shopping Street (10–15 minutes). Cultural highlights include Atsuta Temple (5 minutes), and family-friendly attractions like Nagoya Port Aquarium (20 minutes) and Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens (25 minutes). With multilingual support, attentive service, and a safe, welcoming environment, the hotel ensures a memorable stay for both business and leisure travelers visiting Nagoya.

"The location right next to Kanayama Station is super convenient for getting around (I prefer it over Nagoya Station and Sakae). However, because of the single-pane windows, even on the 18th floor, you can still hear the train. Luckily, the noise level stays under 40 decibels, so it won't wake you up. There's also a shuttle bus nearby that goes to the Aeon Atsuta store. From the window, you can see an Aeon store, distant snow-capped mountains, and a little figure holding an umbrella on the roof of the building opposite. The twin beds can be pushed together, but there's a bunch of wires and equipment under the nightstand that prevents it from moving completely. This leaves a gap of about 20cm between the bed and the wall at the head, which is fine for a family of three to sleep comfortably. The mattress is a Simmons, and it's quite comfortable to sleep on, though the pillows are a bit too narrow. The bathroom looks a little older than it actually is, but it's perfectly functional."

This is a fantastic airport hotel! It's super convenient, located right across from the Meitetsu Line subway station hall, which connects directly to the terminal building. Perfect for those arriving in the afternoon or departing early in the morning. What's even better is how spacious the rooms are, and they all have large windows. Some room types even offer views of Ise Bay, which is stunning and expansive. The breakfast spread is incredibly generous too. Plus, there are plenty of comfortable lounge areas in the lobby on the first floor. It's all very thoughtful and relaxing.

The room was larger than I expected, and the view was fantastic, offering a partial glimpse of Nagoya's city center. The hotel is located on a relatively busy street, so even when returning late as a solo traveler, I felt quite safe. The room's furniture and fixtures were a bit dated, but that didn't bother me as it was very clean. I could fully open my suitcase on the floor and still move around freely, which was very comfortable. The soundproofing could be better; I could hear doors opening and closing in nearby rooms, and occasionally faint conversations, but it was still within an acceptable range for me. There's a Family Mart on the third floor, accessible by elevator, and the bus terminal is also there. This is incredibly convenient for tourists planning to take a bus to more distant destinations. On my last day, it was also very easy to take the Meitetsu Line to the airport. Highly recommended!

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel made our family trip in Nagoya a complete disaster. We booked for two adults and two children. At check-in, the staff said our booking only allowed four people and refused to let my husband even step into our room to help us unpack — even though he wasn’t planning to sleep there that night! I explained, again and again, that we were traveling as a family and were more than willing to pay extra for one more person. But the staff kept repeating the same rule with zero flexibility or empathy. My husband had no choice but to book another hotel for the night, leaving me and the kids alone for what was supposed to be a happy family holiday. The next morning, things got worse. They continued to treat us coldly and wouldn’t allow my husband to enter, even just to help with the luggage. After so much stress, I decided to check out early—losing one night’s payment—because I simply couldn’t stand how heartless and unaccommodating they were. Only when we were packing to leave did they suddenly offer to “upgrade” us to a larger room for extra money. But by that point, the damage was already done. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Japan and always admired the hospitality here, but this was truly the worst experience I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. They showed no kindness, no understanding, and no respect toward families. I strongly urge anyone traveling with family to avoid this hotel.

We specifically chose this hotel for LEGOLAND, and the room was spacious enough. The kids loved the treasure chest game. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, and the food was quite good. The location is excellent if you're visiting LEGOLAND, but it's a bit too far if you plan to go anywhere else, which is why we later moved to a hotel closer to Nagoya Station. The room was very clean, and the service was typical Japanese standard. There are a few restaurants nearby where you can have dinner.
