"The stay at the hotel was perfect, the cleaning was good although they forgot to put us tissues during all the stay, but everything was very clean. However, there was something we didnt like. We had a one day trip and had to wake up very early. We had to leave the hotel at 7 am, it was a Monday, so the day before we asked the receptionist, she was very kind and told us that we could come at 6 am to have breakfast since most of the things would be ready before 6:30 am (the time they open the breakfast room). We came at 6:15, just 15 minutes before the breakfast started but a rude lady (from the night shift) told us that we had to wait until 6:30. We were confused because they had assured us we could get something for breakfast, but she repeated that this was not possible. I couldnt barely reply to her because she left before I could finish the sentence"

"The hotel is like a historical site with a beautiful appearance. The rooms are also European-style. It doesn't feel hot even without air conditioning. The lobby public area is also spacious and beautiful. The breakfast is rich. The bathroom has a shower curtain rod that is very suitable for hanging cool clothes. Although the hotel is not in the city center, the transportation is also very convenient. A taxi in and out is about 16 euros, and a taxi to the airport is about 50 euros."

"This was my second stay. The last time I was here for a meeting at the central bank, and this time I came with friends. Overall, the location is great – close to the city center, but it's quiet because it's surrounded by office buildings, so you don't get any sketchy people around. "I stayed at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road and found it comfortable but not perfect. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is convenient — close enough to walk to the city centre but still quiet at night. However, the room felt a bit warm, and there was no way to open the window for fresh air. "I would say this is the best service I’ve experienced in Dublin!
First of all,I’d especially like to mention a Chinese female receptionist.I noticed her tag named Pei. She is extremely patient and friendly.We didn’t even realize that there was an option between a shower and a bathtub.She proactively asked us if we’d prefer the shower?Since we don’t really like bathtubs,she kindly arranged a room with a shower for us and also was on 6 floor(we prefer higher floor）.That was really thoughtful of her!
Also,there was a male staff in the bar who was really helpful.We had bought some food from outside but didn’t have any cutlery,we asked for disposable forks,and instead he gave us metal forks,it made us feel really welcomed.
Actually the room itself was a bit smaller than we expected,but the view was nice!"

"A brilliant hotel perfectly located within Dublin. Next to trinity college, this hotel is a stones throw from all the tourist hotspots but equally the location is lovely and quiet, especially at night.
The hotel has been recently renovated to a high standard. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are well equipped. The service by the staff was top notch and the exclusive parking around the corner on a private, gated carpark for €15 per night was an added bonus. The breakfast was really tasty, a great selection of cooked and cold food to choose from and the coffee was also equally as good.
Will be using this hotel as my go to the next time I find myself in Dublin."

"The hotel is really nice and functional. The kitchenette is well-equipped enough to prepare a meal, which we took advantage of. The shower is large and comfortable, the toiletries are very good, and the towels are fabulous – better than some 4 or 5-star hotels! The staff are very kind and accommodating to any request. GGuest UserWe had an overall great experience at this hotel. It is in a quieter area of Dublin but there is plenty to see and do just a short walk away including Trinity College, the National Museum of Ireland galleries and within 15 minute walk of most major attractions. They also had good connections to the airport using the Dublin Express Bus that had quite a few stops nearby. There are some very good restaurants a short walk away from this hotel and the Leap Card can get you pretty good public transportation around the city.
The hotel has studio style kitchenette apartments. We were surprised with how well equipped the little kitchens were which included multiple cooking utensils and pots. They had a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, mini fridge (stocked with some milk), microwave/oven and a mini dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets, dish soap, sugar, salt, pepper and a few other things were conveniently included. We made ourselves breakfast each day we were here which was easy to do because there is a Tesco Express and possibly the best bakery in Dublin just around the corner with Bread 41.
The room was pretty good with plenty of outlets and even though it was a bit small there was enough space for our two large suitcases and bags. They have a small seating area with a table, a large flat screen TV, good WiFi and good lighting. The bathroom was pretty good too but we weren't a fan of the partition because it does not cover the full shower area and it was easy for water to get out of the shower. They have an all in one body wash too. The room was mostly quiet but we were there on New Year's Eve and there was one lady who had a very loud complaint in the hallway around 3 in the morning for around 15 minutes.
The staff are very kind and helpful. They had no room left in their luggage storage when we arrived so they allowed us early check in which is usually 20 Euros. They have a WhatsApp ”AI” chat that you can request service through and we used it for extra towels that came up pretty quickly.
The hotel has some amenities including a small restaurant/bar that has some food and coffee and paid laundry machines. Breakfast here costs 15 euros if you pre-book but if you want it the morning of it is 17 Euros. The one thing we found tricky about the hotel is that we had to use the elevator to go up and down even though we were on the first floor because all the stairwells are locked up for safety/fire protocol.
Overall, a good stay for our first time in Dublin and we would consider staying here again or recommending to friends and family with similar interests to ours.

TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!

GGuest UserThe man at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming as soon as my friends and I arrived. The rooms were kept especially clean throughout our entire stay. The friends I traveled with also ate at the breakfast and said the price was fair because the buffet was so good. 10/10 stay. Also just a ten-ish minute ride downtown and airport.

JJunI recently stayed at the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin and found its location on O'Connell Street to be exceptionally convenient for exploring Dublin's main attractions. The room was clean and featured a mini-fridge, which was useful for keeping drinks cool.
However, the breakfast experience was underwhelming. The selection lacked variety, and the quality didn't meet expectations. Additionally, the lobby area felt cramped during peak times, making it less inviting for relaxation.
While the hotel's central location is a significant advantage, improvements in breakfast offerings and lobby comfort would enhance the overall guest experience.

GGuest UserMy husband and I had been planning this trip to Dublin for quite some time. And when we found this beautiful boutique hotel online, we were so excited. As soon as we arrived And checked in, there was a lot going on in the lobby area, so it was a little overwhelming. We saw a lady at the desk, but we weren’t sure that she actually worked there because she didn’t greet us. Didn’t even look our way. It seemed like she had a general disinterest or disdain for us being there. I asked, “Is this the front desk to the hotel?” To which she responded in a monotone voice, “Yes.” I was shocked that this was the first impression of the hotel that we were getting. What made it worse was that my husband was told that we needed to put a card on hold and he proceeded to tap his card thinking that it was like all the other places we had been to in Ireland. But it didn’t work. Several times he tapped it and it showed nothing. He asked the lady, “does your tap work? Do you have tap?” To which she replied a curt, “no.” Mind you, she was standing there the entire time and could see the entire situation. This interaction was such a bummer, and this made our short trip to Dublin feel a little sour.
To be honest, not all of the stuff was like that morning. We woke up to get a coffee downstairs, and the gentleman that works at the coffee bar was very warm. A young Spanish speaking man. He was absolutely amazing; patient and willing to answer any questions About the items on the menu And the different pastries available.
Overall, the hotel was a mixed bag. It had a very chic vibe but outside of that lovely gentleman, their customer service can definitely improve!

AAlexIt was a great stay overall. The location was perfect. It was near the center of Dublin. But was set in a quiet neighborhood just outside it. It is a doable walk to a park set along the water. I loved the Medieval Theme. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The dual shower heads are a nice setup. .Request a view of the front of the hotel. The only potential negative is the distance from the airport and the train.
