"Overall, my impression of this hotel is that it's a slightly upscale budget hotel. The service is four-star, and they offer shuttle service to and from the station. At around 400 yuan a night, it's considered high-end in Linfen. **Pros:** The service is excellent and highly commendable. The station shuttle service is very thoughtful, and the car was comfortable. The complimentary welcome fruit was a nice, warm touch. The separate toilet, sink, and shower area is a great feature. **Areas for Improvement:** The air conditioning was quite noisy. The 'river view' room didn't really offer much of a river view, though I could see a bridge. The breakfast quality should be improved to match the four-star service. For instance, the freshly squeezed soy milk was too thick, indicating too few soybeans were used, and the quality of the pastries needs to be better."

"For the price, this was excellent value. The room was very clean with all the necessities provided. Aside from this, the service was good. The staff were friendly and willing to help. Some cool quirky things, like a cat and its kittens in the lobby (in a glass play area so still hygienic). Also, coffee freshly brewed in the morning in the lobby. I didn't try it, but I think it was free as it was not in the breakfast area. One of the best cheaper stays I have been to traveling around China."

"The hotel's facilities are excellent. The lobby is grand and elegant, and the rooms are spacious with good hygiene. The location is very convenient for tourists; it's only about a ten to twelve-minute walk to the Datong Ancient City direct shuttle bus stop. In the evenings, you can walk through the ancient city and past the Heyang Gate to reach the Sipaifang commercial food street, which is always bustling. It's so convenient and comfortable to enjoy the beautiful ancient city views and explore the Dongnanyi Historical and Cultural Pedestrian Street. I highly recommend this hotel! 👍"

"The location of the hotel is good, easy access from main road to get big bags to it and also to go around the ancient city both during day and night time to enjoy all the landmarks. Missing signages make it a bit difficult to find the hotel at first. Also, while we had paid for a bigger rooms the room barely had walking space. It had no luggage storage space or cabinet. The washroom and room floor was not cleaned. Staff on the other hand are very friendly and willing to help with all the questions - on local travel, places to see, vegetarian food, etc. They find a way to help to the best. All in all was a good experience and would have been better with some adjustments."

"If you want an authentic traditional vibe but still appreciate modern convenience, this hotel is the perfect choice. The staff picked us up and dropped us off by buggy at the main gate, which made everything effortless. The host was incredibly helpful and explained the best way to explore Pingyao Ancient Town. The hotel has a beautiful traditional courtyard style, but the rooms are fully modern—well-sealed windows, a big projector screen, an automated toilet, super clean linens, and a very comfortable mattress. A cold wave hit during our stay, and the host even provided an extra heater to keep us warm, which we really appreciated. We’re so glad we found this place and highly recommend it with confidence."

"Had a fantastic stay! We booked the 'sky-light room,' which was very quiet, allowing us to sleep soundly until morning. The front desk attendant was incredibly warm and helpful; she brought ice packs for my wife's sprained ankle and even lent us a charging cable. This place truly elevated our entire trip for all three families. The location is superb, right in the heart of the ancient city, making transportation incredibly convenient. In just about ten minutes on foot, we could easily reach various attractions within Datong's ancient city, like Dongnanyi, Daiwang Mansion, and Huayan Temple – all closely connected and bustling with activity! My friend meticulously researched and selected this hotel. It's relatively new since its opening, with modern and well-equipped facilities, including smart voice control (Xiao Du). It's impeccably clean, tidy, and its convenient location is beyond reproach. They even have a washing machine, a tea area, and a reading nook for kids. The complimentary buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of options, many of which are local specialties, and it was quite good. Finally, what truly impressed and touched my friends and me was the thoughtful and warm service from the owner and staff, from top to bottom. When we arrived in Datong after transferring from Taiyuan by high-speed train, two cars were arranged to pick us up right away. Despite the light rain, the staff had umbrellas ready and were waiting for us at the intersection, helping us with our luggage and getting us settled in. Everyone was delighted! They also provided plenty of snacks, toys, and complimentary fruit that the kids loved. Any request, big or small, was promptly addressed and arranged. The service level was on par with a five-star hotel! "This place has its own dedicated parking, conveniently located right behind Xinzhou Ancient City, making it super easy to get around. Charging and fueling your car is a breeze. You can bring back anything you buy in the ancient city and enjoy it at your leisure in your room. The private hot spring in the courtyard was a great experience – perfect for soaking while munching on snacks and sipping tea. It even has a retractable roof with lights, so you can enjoy it at night too. The service was top-notch; they provided a pet gift package and a welcome gift, which our dog loved! The staff were incredibly responsive, charming, and generous. We'll definitely be back!"
