"During check-in, an Asian female receptionist (she looked like she could be Chinese, but spoke English the whole time, so I'm not really sure of her ethnicity) assigned me a room on the 10th floor after I declined to pay an extra CAD 175 to upgrade to a better floor. When I entered the room, the view was completely blocked by the hotel's roof (see picture 3; I didn't know beforehand that if you get a lower floor in this room category, the waterfall view gets obstructed by the roof). Annoyed, I checked my booking details and found that this room type is supposed to be on floors 11 to 41. I immediately contacted Trip.com online. The customer service agent, Xiao Ang (I think that was the name, though I checked my history just now and couldn't find who replied at the time), called me via Trip.com voice about half an hour later to inform me that they had communicated with the hotel and I could be moved to the 28th floor. I rushed down to the front desk to get a new room key, and ultimately ended up on the 31st floor (see pictures 1 and 2). Thank you, Xiao Ang, and thank you, Trip.com. To be honest, if the front desk had just given me an 11th or 12th-floor room, I would have had no one to blame but myself even if I was unhappy, but she deliberately gave me the 10th floor. If you want to guarantee a view of both waterfalls, I'd recommend booking a higher floor. My situation was probably an exception."

"I stayed here on 2 separate bookings over the 2 week trip to Canada (when i first arrived, and after travelling to Quebec, before departing for home). Both times the rooms have been clean, comfortable with lovely decor. The shower has nice pressure, bathroom was clean. Hotel staff also clean the rooms daily. The reception staff were nice and responsive. The location was very convenient to get to both Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena. 10/10. And of course convenient to get to Union Station. Will definitely stay here again next time i try to catch the Dodgers in Toronto!"

"I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and to formally lodge a severe complaint regarding the unacceptable conditions of my stay at your property from 2 july to 3 july. My experience was nothing short of disastrous, characterized by an uninhabitable room environment, a blatant lack of accountability from your staff, and an absolute refusal by management to rectify the situation. During my stay, the climate control in my room was entirely inoperable. I approached the reception multiple times in a desperate attempt to resolve the issue: First Instance: The technician dispatched to my room explicitly admitted that the entire system was fundamentally broken due to a severe heating malfunction. Second Instance: The ”solution” provided by your staff was a completely ineffective portable fan. This gesture did absolutely nothing to alleviate the stifling, oppressive heat. The room remained a sweltering, suffocating box, utterly depriving me of sleep for the entire night. Third Instance: Exhausted and distressed, I went down to the reception a third time. Rather than moving me to a functional room, the overnight staff completely deflected responsibility, telling me there was nothing more they could do and instructing me to speak directly with management in the morning. The situation deteriorated further the next morning. When I approached the manager to demand a resolution for this intolerable ordeal, I was met with total dismissal. The manager callously deflected all accountability, claiming that because my booking was made through a third party, he ”cannot help with anything” and ”cannot do anything” to fix their own property's failure. Instead of taking ownership of a severe breach of hospitality standards, the manager simply handed me this email address to deal with the problem myself. Let me be entirely clear: a third-party booking does not excuse a hotel from providing basic, habitable living conditions. I did not pay to spend a sleepless night suffocating in a health hazard, nor did I pay to be brushed off by your on-site management. Because your property failed to provide a liveable room and your management failed to handle the crisis, I demand a full, immediate refund for this stay. If this matter is not addressed promptly and with the gravity it deserves, I will escalate this complaint to your corporate office, notify the booking platform of your refusal to cooperate, and publicly expose this experience online. "We come up to the Clifton Hills area a few times a year. I've had Old Stone Inn on my short list of places I've wanted to stay at for probably 3 years. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It's a unique place. What really makes it stand out are it's small features like the wooden key cards and Nespresso in the room. Or the big features like the commons patio and Fallsview market place (coffee and cinnamon roll were so good). The staff was amazing and helpful. They even told us how to get down to the Falls from the hotel. There was happy hour and live music and we were able to see the Falls fireworks from the patio. Charging things to the room was so simple. It was extremely comfortable and quiet as well. I can't wait to stay here again."

"The hotel's biggest advantage is its excellent location for viewing the waterfall. Floors above the 12th offer great views, and you can catch the light and fireworks shows at night. However, the room facilities don't live up to the 2000+ price tag; they're no different from rooms costing a few hundred, and they even skimped on a microwave. The service is also non-existent."

"I had originally booked a junior suite two months ago, but closer to my check-in date, I found a larger, more unique suite that was actually cheaper than the junior suite! Maybe someone cancelled? I snapped it up right away. The room came with a spacious living room and kitchen, equipped with a microwave, induction hob, and fridge. However, there were no cooking utensils, but that was fine as we didn't need them anyway. Having a kitchen meant access to drinkable tap water, which was super convenient. The microwave was really useful; I could just heat up water for a hot drink. The sofa bed in the living room was cleverly hidden inside the sofa, and the duvet cover and other linens were in a cupboard. I only found this out after calling the front desk. The location is fantastic, very close to Chinatown and the Eaton Centre, both about a 10-minute walk away. Supermarkets and pharmacies are all readily available. We even found an A&W nearby and enjoyed a delicious Canadian burger! The only minor downside was that check-in is after 3 PM, and check-out is before 12 PM the next morning. Also, you can't leave your luggage at the front desk overnight. So, we had to haul our luggage all the way to Quebec City! "

"Stayed here recently and overall had a decent experience. The AC worked really well, which made the stay comfortable. The room itself was a bit on the small side even though it had a king-size bed, so there wasn’t much extra space to move around. I was a little disappointed that the room didn’t include slippers or a kettle, which I honestly expected. I did ask reception for hot water on one of the days though, and they were kind enough to provide me with a small cup, so service was appreciated. Breakfast was okay with a decent variety and a good range overall, although it was almost the same the next day and the fruit selection was slightly less impressive. Still, it was satisfactory for a short stay but needed a few improvements."

"This is my second stay at the Hilton Fallsview, 8 years after my first visit. It feels like both the lobby and the rooms have been renovated. This time, I booked a room on the highest floor with an unbeatable view of the falls. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were very quick. There are many restaurants conveniently located downstairs. I didn't park at the Hilton, as it seemed to cost around $70-80 a night. Instead, I parked at the Holiday Inn across the street. You can negotiate with the parking attendant there; they initially asked for $25, but I got it down to $20 a night."

"I’d like to start with the positives of the hotel. First of all, the location was excellent. As tourists, it was very convenient for us to get to all the main attractions around the city. I would also like to give special recognition to the service. We were truly impressed by how attentive and welcoming the staff were throughout our stay. In particular, the reception team and the café staff serving breakfast provided outstanding hospitality. Bar 45 also exceeded our expectations with exceptional service. Overall, the customer service was truly top-notch. What unfortunately disappointed us was the condition of the hotel itself. It feels as though the property has not been significantly updated since the 1970s. The old doors, outdated furniture, worn carpets, and poor lighting in the lobby create a sense of discomfort rather than luxury. This is definitely something that needs attention, as the current condition and renovation standards do not match the level and reputation of the hotel."
