"The hotel has nice infinity pools, but no beach or access to a public beach. You have to take taxi to get to one. Taxis are expensive on Tahiti. The resort does have access to lagoon water in just one spot, there is a ladder, and the water is very clean for those wanting to take dip. The rooms are old, esp. the vanities and the decor in the bathrooms. The bed linens and towels are nice. Also the grounds and the views are very nice. I didn't try the breakfast, but the breakfast area seemed nice. Overall, I don't regret staying here, but would consider this option overpriced due to the age of the rooms."

"We had a very nice “luxury overwater bungalow” which was in good shape. The lagoon was a dream, you can directly enter from you terrasse and have plenty of fishes in the coral guarden. Yet we heard many complaints from other guests about the “superior overwAter bungalows” which seemed in not good shape. Service felt like non-existing, especially as we were in StRegis Bora Bora before. As we and some others were arriving early, they parked us in the lobby area for several hours and also after several reminders did not manage to fill up coffee and water. (This Time could also be used to show people the Ressort or bring them to lunch as other hotels in this price area manage to do). Breakfast was decent, but again very bad and slow service (with the only highlight being the customer crazy guy preparing your eggs and pancakes, sorry forgot his name he made my day). Getting your coffee or tea might take ages, sometimes not coming at all. They also took ages to remove used plates from tables, resulting in bird invasion everywhere. Dinner was mediocre at best. -no gym -wireless is very bad and slow everywhere Conclusion: lagoon is very beautiful, but overall experience in the hotel does by far not match the price level. They have to step up a lot!"

Nestled between two bays on the heart-shaped island of Moorea, a short trip from Tahiti, the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa is set against a stunning mountain backdrop which melts into a crystal clear lagoon. The unspoilt beauty of this verdant paradise, also known as the ‘Island of Love’, was the inspiration for many works by French Impressionist, Paul Gauguin. Designed in a contemporary Polynesian style, the resort’s luxurious bungalows are nestled among exotic flower gardens or suspended above the turquoise lagoon, teeming with tropical marine life. Choose from a selection of themed menus, delicious buffets and sumptuous à la carte dishes in the resort’s selection of restaurants and bars as you take in panoramic lagoon views. Relax in the evening with live entertainment including traditional Polynesian shows and enchanting performances by the local orchestra at the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa.

"Definitely opt for the overwater bungalows. The beach bungalows with private pools were a little worn down. The main pool was closed due to renovations and it was not supposed to be. The renovations were supposed to have been completed before our stay. That was a bummer and all they did was give us a $50 credit. The lagoon and house reef is spectacular and so full of fish. All not motorized activities including kayaking and SUP are included. Very good buffet breakfast. The service was 3 star definitely not 5 star service. An absolutely fantastic location and go to happy hour for sunset."
