The hotel boasts an excellent location, modern facilities, and an elegant ambiance, with superb service. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive, and the staff even prepared a special farewell cake and ceremony. My only regret is that all the surfaces in the room were covered in a layer of dust, despite the overall appearance of cleanliness.
This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Nepal! I really enjoyed so much here! Excellent food and services, facilities are new and clean, I love its design and some lovely writings in the room. I love reading the books in the ground floor restaurant during my breakfast time. All the services here are exceptional, especially during my breakfast hour, special thanks to Priyanka (who remembers my coffee preference and even brought me my coffee before I asked her❤️) and Kritan (who would greet me every time when I’m there, and keep on asking if I need anything, especially omelette😂) for their excellent service. Also thanks to Manita for making my room clean and fresh❤️ Lastly, I really appreciated the hotel’s policy of half day booking, since I have a late night flight, this policy allows me to checkout at 6pm, that save my day, I could join a half day Tour on my last day, then back to hotel for a little rest and do the packing. I really felt being taking good care of during my stay. Thank you so much Moxy Kathmandu!
Convenient Stay Near Kathmandu Airport
The hotel is very well-located—close to the airport and right in the center of Kathmandu. Airport pickup and drop services were provided, which made our travel hassle-free.
Food:
The breakfast buffet was good, and the highlight was definitely the poori bhaji. However, the Nepal Thali was disappointing and needs improvement.
Rooms & Property:
Rooms were a bit small but had all essential toiletries. The building is a 7-story structure, so don’t expect spacious gardens or play areas for kids.
Facilities:
Swimming Pool: Available, but since it’s not temperature-controlled, it’s not practical in colder weather.
Parking: Bikes should ideally be parked in B2, but there’s no lift access to B2, so you have to walk to the ground floor to use the lift.
Suggestions for Improvement:
Make the swimming pool temperature-controlled for year-round usability.
Provide better access to B2 parking or reconsider the arrangement.
Improve the quality of the Nepal Thali.
This hotel is quite good, very new, and has a swimming pool with an excellent environment. The room service is great, always available when called. However, the breakfast is very average, comparable to what you'd find in a basic domestic setting. But for just over 500 RMB, it's not expensive, so I recommend staying here. There aren't many food options nearby, and it's mostly a local residential area, but the overall environment is still very pleasant. There's also a gym, and the rooftop bar is particularly relaxing, being an open-air terrace.
I arrived at the hotel lobby at 7 PM and waited to check in, intending to drop off my luggage and go for dinner. After nearly two hours, the staff only offered me a cup of hot chocolate, offering no solutions whatsoever. I kept asking how long it would take to check in, but they never gave me a timeframe. I repeatedly asked the staff, who would say they would look into it, but never provide a response. The room facilities were extremely old.
An absolutely wonderful hotel! I highly recommend visiting. You can enjoy a peaceful stay surrounded by the Himalayas. It's so quiet that you can clearly hear the calls of the animals. The hotel staff are beautiful people, full of hospitality, and they truly go above and beyond. Thanks to your thoughtful care, I had a fantastic trip. The restaurant offers a good variety and is enjoyable. Breakfast was a delightful mix of Nepali dishes and American breakfast items.
Horrible Service – Not Worth the Price
My experience at this hotel was terrible. The only good thing about it is its location and the fact that the rooms are well-decorated and clean. However, there are many issues that made our stay unpleasant.
First, the hotel still uses traditional keys instead of automatic key cards, which is quite inconvenient. On our first night, we stayed on the third floor, but there was constant noise from the fourth floor, as if someone was dragging chairs non-stop. We tried calling reception around 2-3 AM, but no one picked up, and the noise continued throughout the night.
The next day, we repeatedly requested housekeeping between 3:30-4:00 PM, but no one came. Our room remained messy, and they didn’t even provide fresh complimentary water, which is usually replenished daily. When we asked for water, they told us we had to pay extra. Only after I pointed out that our room hadn’t been cleaned did they finally send water.
Breakfast was fine, but dinner was a disaster. We ordered the Royal Thali, which was served in a fancy silver plate, but the taste was disappointing. Anyone familiar with authentic desi flavors would agree that it was far from good. The portion sizes were small, and for the price they charge, even four-star hotels in Nepal provide much better service.
The biggest issue is the staff's lack of professionalism, especially at night. If guests face any problems, they simply don’t care. This hotel needs serious improvement in customer service and staff training. I would not recommend staying here unless they make significant changes.

NNenanMy flight arrived in Kathmandu at 10 PM, and immigration took forever, so I didn't get out of the airport until almost 11 PM. I had emailed the hotel in advance to request an airport pick-up. I honestly thought no one would be there given how late it was and the lack of a contact number, but I saw my name card among the crowd waiting for cars at the exit. As a first-time visitor, this was such a pleasant and heartwarming surprise!
The car took me to the hotel, which is located in the bustling, central Thamel area. Right downstairs, there's a 'Chengdu Skewers' restaurant. The hotel itself is one of the tallest buildings in the vicinity and boasts a glass-enclosed restaurant on the 12th-floor rooftop, with a pool and spa on the 11th floor – quite a bold design! Breakfast was good, and the service was attentive. The location is convenient; a rickshaw takes just 6 minutes to Durbar Square.
The room size was adequate, but I was a bit disappointed to only get a room on the 4th floor after requesting a high-floor room. Also, the bathroom had a strong, foul odor that permeated the room even with the bathroom door closed. This backflow smell seems to be related to the plumbing and hygiene and definitely needs improvement. Other than that, everything else was great!

Namaste ,🙏🏼
GGuest UserGreat hotel to relax in after a strenuous hike in the Everest region. Very close to Thamel for you to do any last minute gift shopping.
Clean room, friendly staff, decent breakfast!
GGuest UserThe hotel service is very professional, the breakfast is rich, and the front desk service is warm and thoughtful. When I asked for water, it was delivered quickly. There is also a hair dryer in the hotel, and the hot water for bathing is very comfortable.
Many Chinese people go to other places to find Chinese food, but they find that the most authentic Chinese food is on the ninth floor above the hotel. And the chocolate brownie here is very authentic. It was supposed to be eaten with ice cream, but I asked for hot ice cream, and the hotel immediately made hot ice cream. There is the largest farmer's market in Kathmandu next to the hotel, and 6 big apples cost less than 20 yuan. You can buy all kinds of vegetables and fruits here.
Because Kathmandu is often congested, if you connect with a flight, the hotel is very close to the airport, which is another big advantage.

HHasenaOne of the finest properties in Nepal — perfect location, beautiful ambience, and excellent amenities. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate every request. We stayed for a birthday celebration, and their thoughtful service made it truly special. If you’re looking to create unforgettable memories, this 5-star resort is the place to be.

Mmagnolia68This is one of the few modern and sophisticated hotels you'll find in Nepal. I booked a room without breakfast because my schedule was uncertain. After arriving and seeing the hotel's condition, I decided to book breakfast for the next day. The international buffet offered a diverse and clean selection of food, and it was delicious. Amidst the chaos and noise of Kathmandu, I had a quiet and clean stay here and left feeling well-rested. The quality was much higher than a 300,000 won hotel in Pokhara.
