"We stayed at this hotel for more than 10 days. When I extended my stay for one more night, I was told that I needed to change rooms and that the staff would call me with the details. I waited all day, but no one contacted me. In the evening, my key card suddenly stopped working, and I couldn’t get into my room. It was only after 8:30 p.m. that I was finally told I had to change rooms. The room change itself was not the problem. The lack of communication and poor handling of the situation caused a lot of unnecessary inconvenience. This experience also left me wondering whether guests who book through a third-party platform are treated differently. I hope that was not the case, but after staying for more than 10 days, I expected much better service."

"If you have asthma, heart conditions, or allergies, do not stay here. I am an open-heart surgery survivor and PDA patient. Despite requesting a non-smoking room on Trip.com, Lotte Hotel Yangon forced us onto a smoking floor. They explicitly told us that because we didn't book directly, they would not accommodate us unless we paid a $20 USD per day extra charges to get a non smoking room. Exploiting a guest's medical need for clean air to extract extra money is abusive. And hotel breakfast is done at 9:30 am"

"After reading George Orwell's 'Burmese Days,' I had a spontaneous idea to visit Myanmar for a few days. Then I found out that The Strand Hotel, one of Asia's three heritage hotels, the 'Pearl of Southeast Asia,' and the oldest hotel in Southeast Asia, had reopened! It was perfect in my eyes: 1. **Reasonable price**; 2. **Great location** (right by the Yangon River, next to the Rosewood Hotel, and just a 10-minute walk from the Sule Pagoda in the city center); 3. **Rich history and countless literary references**; 4. **Its experience of closing due to civil war**; 5. **Excellent drinks and delicious food** (even the late-night snacks were good); 6. **Proficient English speakers among the front desk, restaurant, and bar staff**; 7. **Exceptional service**."

"I ordered lunch, but the food took far too long to arrive. To make matters worse, customers who arrived after us were served before we were. They were even seated right in front of us, which made the situation even more frustrating. Because of this experience, I don't think I will come here for lunch again. Other than that, the service was excellent."

The indoor and outdoor executive lounge is open and inviting, and the restaurant is quite thoughtful. Overall, it's a well-maintained hotel. The rooms are spacious with private balconies overlooking the golf course, which is a much better view than what you'd typically get from a luxury hotel in the city center. "The front desk staff were very rude – no eye contact, expressionless faces, and unhelpful attitude. There is no room service available in the morning. I requested a water bottle to be sent to my room at 8:30 AM, but was told that room service only starts after 11 AM and that I should go buy water myself from the convenience store."

"Hands down the best hotel in Yangon! It's new, stylish, and just a pleasure to stay at. The rooms are gorgeous, and the beds are incredibly comfortable (you'll sleep like you're on a cloud). Service is 10/10. Breakfast is 500/10! They serve good coffee, and you can even order Eggs Benedict with salmon (which is a big deal for Myanmar), and it's included in the breakfast. The location is right in the city center, next to Sule Pagoda. If I ever come back to Yangon, it'll only be to this hotel! It's rare for me to enjoy a stay this much, but I was truly impressed here."
