booked this hotel last minute as the previous hotel was not up to standard. 欣怡 was amazing. what a thoughtful staff. novotel ought to promote her. she kindly showed us the way to the convenient store and introduced a lot of nice places for us to visit and to have our meals. you can tell that she’s not the pretentious type but someone that puts her heart and soul into what she does/enjoys. // this is one of the best novotel hotel i’ve stayed. room is SO clean. they even have kids bedroom slippers and toothbrush. everything was thoughtfully planned out. nice shower system as well. they have dyson too haha

Super loved our stay at Intercontinental Lijiang. Hotel location is fantastic, the main entrance is along the road hence cars can enter and drop you off directly at the main lobby. The side gate of the hotel leads directly into the ancient town. There is no need to drag your luggage through the rocky roads of the ancient town. Buggy service to and fro the main lobby and rooms are available 24/7. Amenities are good, with an indoor pool and sauna as well as a in-house spa centre. The cafe in the lobby has a very beautiful view of the snow mountain, and is nice to have tea there to enjoy the view. They even have a dyson hair dryer in every room too. Highly recommend 👍🏼

The hotel is located north of lijiang ancient city that takes about 5-7mins walk to the most happening area of the ancient city. We booked a room for 3 nights and I really enjoyed the stay, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and my wife loves the shower water pressure. Hotel reception is 24/7, furthermore the staffs are friendly and helpful. They provide decent local food, and the restaurant is beautiful. Besides, they have wonderful facilities such as indoor & outdoor sitting areas, study areas, laundry room(free of charge if DIY), mahjong room, tea room etc. We will come back again when we visit lijiang next time.

Dali was a relatively unfamiliar name to me. From the temporary station in Dali to the entrance of the Pullman Hotel, everything seemed indistinguishable from other small to medium-sized cities. However, during my two-day stay at this hotel, I encountered the attentive Beata at the front desk, the ever-smiling and enthusiastic Felix in the lobby, and the kind-hearted driver Xiao Bao. They truly made me feel at home. Thanks to the recommendations of Felix and Beata, we were fortunate to have Xiao Bao as our guide for a day trip around Erhai Lake. Like many other tourists, we admired Cangshan Mountain, enjoyed the views of Erhai, tasted Xi Zhou Baba, got sunburnt, and took some mediocre photos—memories that might fade over time. Perhaps I won’t often recall the stories Xiao Bao shared about the history of the Dali Kingdom, the transformation of Yunnan’s war god into a mythical creature, or the customs of the Bai people’s weddings, the local treasures, and peculiarities. But what Xiao Bao left us with was a deeper connection and more unforgettable memories. I will remember how Xiao Bao passionately and vividly introduced his hometown to us. I will remember how he diligently and safely drove us for nine hours in one day, enduring the scorching sun while showing us the scenic spots around Erhai. He gave us a beautiful day. He added warmth and color to Cangshan and Erhai, bringing out an unparalleled shade of blue, perhaps the same deep indigo blue that the Bai people cherish. Though our two days in Dali were short, they were filled with meaning, leaving me with a sense of longing as I departed. I believe I will remember Dali for a long time, and I will fondly think of the people I met here. I hope Dali’s sun is gentle, so Xiao Bao’s sensitive skin feels more comfortable. Thank you, Xiao Bao, and the Pullman staff who took care of us these past two days. Dali, I will often think of you. Because of you all, this place is truly wonderful and beautiful and memorable.

Jinmao was really convenient to walk to the nearby university food street for very good and cheap street food. It was also convenient to get around by taxi. The room was really spacious and well designed, and we also got a view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from our room. Breakfast spread was great too. The only thing we had a problem with was accessing the hotel wifi - as foreigners, we would input our overseas mobile number for an OTP but the system would erroneously convert that into a local Chinese mobile number so we could never get the OTP to access the internet. When we told the front desk, their solution was to send a local staff to the room to use his mobile number to help us log into the wifi. While that solution worked, it’s a rather inconvenient and short-sighted fix vs permanently fixing their login website itself. Thought that was rather short-sighted of them.

InterContinental hotel locates near Kunming's DianChi - 滇池 within walking distance. The hotel resort is relatively huge and it took me quite a while from my room to the lobby. So if you hate walking, this maybe something you need to consider. Furthermore, the room facilities are kind out of date especially the toilet which is a minus compared with other 6-star hotel. The restaurant especially the Chinese restaurant is not where you would get local Yunnan flavor, so avoid it if possible. In general, this is a resort hotel which is much better than any of the resort hotels I have visited in the West Coast of US. So I would still recommend it for anyone visiting Kunming, China.

The lobby is big but a bit dark. The room is good size and the best part is the bathroom. It's huge with a very nice tub. It's same as most of the hotels in China, aircon can only tune to 23degree celcisus. Though window can open to get some cool fresh air in, the blanket is still too warm for the weather. Breakfast is on the top notch, even for international standard.

Every staff working in this hotel are very helpful, very patient and always with smile. Check-in was fast and efficient and spent quite a lot of time to help us to retrieve the Golden Circle membership from record. Food at the restaurant is good and have many choices. Room is clean, facilities are new and high-tech. Staff working at the concierge also perform well, especially willing to go outside for guiding our taxi to go inside the hotel lobby. I have re-confirmed with the hotel to check-in again after my tour to Dali, even though I have to cancel my original booking in another hotel. Staff performs well and with passion, hope that the headquarter could provide some more training in order to well prepare for the foreign visitors.

My definition of luxury, this brand new hotel strikes the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity as art deco style. Bath Rooms are tastefully decorated with all the high quality amenities. You'd come to expect from a 5+ star hotel including automatic black out curtains and one touch lighting control. The restaurant/breakfast area was outstanding. The breakfast was one of the best I experienced with a selection not found in any other 5 star hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. From the moment we booked the room we were greeted with the most friendly staff. Emily and Wan (in the Front desk/Concierge ) gave us a smooth check in, and provided us with a great dining guide that we wanted to explore. They are exceptional! I would highly recommend and will definitely go back for these stellar services and amenities.

A very nice hotel with friendly service in a good location. It is between two stations on two different lines of the subway with an easy walk about 10-15 minutes either way. There are also a lot of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk or a short cab ride. The hotel buffet breakfast had a lot of choices with both Chinese and western dishes and very good service. The room was very large and clean and comfortable. Tv had English news channel and the Wi-Fi worked well although I seemed to only be able to log in one device using the same phone number to get a code. The front desk staff spoke English and were very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We were passing through Kunming on our way to other places in Yunnan. This was a fine, corporate hotel for a one night stay. It's centrally located, had a clean enough room, was comfortable, and we slept well. Honestly, we don't remember much about our experience there as we stayed at about six hotels after this one. It was the least memorable of the hotels we stayed at however I think this is the hotel's strength: a big, known quantity that has rooms that you could easily imagine if you closed your eyes and thought about it. One thing: the building was a bit old and it seemed every so slightly run down, but still, it was good for what it was.

This place is a combination of Chinese traditional style of setting with modern classy set up. I was amazed by the this hotel. I rate this hotel as above the highest rating. The staff our super friendly and kind. Our housekeeper Alice provide us the excellent service. Not only she upgrade the room for us but also service us with the cake. We felt honored, and we were very touched by the decorations they put in our room too. The breakfast was so wonderful the choice of food awesome. Words can’t truly express how amazing this resort is. You need to just simply come and experience. The staff took care of every single detail and went above and beyond. Staying in this hotel is really just for the view of the mountain. Service is so-so and hotel breakfast is quite underwhelming with staff needing reminder to replenish at around 930am. Me and my friend had to remind the staff for our omelette order, which arrived when we were done. At the Checkin counter, staff will tout you for star gazing trips as well as massage packages. It was a cloudy day yet the staff said we can see the stars, so we obviously didn’t take up the offer. Key positive is the photoshoot which allows 5 free photos + 15s video. The room is nice & spacious, with a nice living room space and balcony to enjoy the view of the mountain. However, the toilet door may lock if you close a tad too hard + bathroom has a damp tower smell. For a ~US$500 stay in this region, you’re paying for the view of the mountain + photoshoot (5 pic + 15s vid) + room (if your toilet is okay).

There is airport pick-up service, the lobby is very grand, the room is large and clean, there are welcome fruits, the facilities are first-class, and the room is consistent with the introduction picture. The high-speed rail station is 500 meters away on foot, and it is very convenient to take the high-speed rail. Luggage can be stored. It is about 6 or 7 kilometers away from Lijiang Ancient Town. The surrounding facilities are average, there is nothing delicious for takeout, and the hotel breakfast is average. It is recommended to have more meat dishes. On this trip to Yunnan, the Jinlin Wyndham in Lijiang is the most beautiful. You can sit in the courtyard and drink tea leisurely. The room is very clean. When you see children, the cleaning aunt is very considerate and takes the initiative to ask if there are any. I didn't need anything in particular, but I also took the initiative to send the children's slippers and toothbrushes to the room. I'm very grateful. On the road inside the hotel, you can also see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, although it's a little obscured, but it's still a surprise. There's also Maple Leaf Alley, which I like very much. We recently stayed at a hotel right outside the 南门of the Ancient City, and its location couldn't have been more convenient. Given how jammed Dali can get, walking was the best option, and this hotel’s location made it incredibly easy to explore the area on foot. The staff here is simply the best I’ve ever encountered. I had many parcels delivered to the hotel before my arrival, and they not only managed all of them seamlessly but also offered to send out additional parcels on my behalf. Despite the hotel being fully booked, they attended to our requests promptly and always with a smile. Their dedication to going above and beyond was truly impressive. The staff also provided excellent recommendations for food and activities nearby, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the views of 苍山 were amazing. We had a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be back!

The service is excellent. The staff are very enthusiastic, considerate and attentive, making people feel at home. The hotel has complete facilities, comfortable bedding, rich and varied breakfast, and good quality afternoon tea. It is an unforgettable accommodation experience. The location is good, halfway up the mountain, close to the mountain and the sea, with a panoramic view of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake opposite. It's hard not to look at it while lying in bed!! It’s a quiet beautiful hotel conveniently located at the old town. The non-smoking room is modern with Japanese toilet/bidet with adequate heating. Good wifi. Wide spread of breakfast. Service is good. We celebrated our friend’s birthday and the kitchen prepared longevity noodles for the birthday girl. Nice spacious environment, too. Check in & check out is fast. Highly recommendable hotel.

Our room was a very comfortable Duplex. Breakfast was a spread. Location is convenient and close to several photo taking spots and the main tourist attraction - Dali ancient city. Service at this hotel is the most fantastic, one of the friendliest service staff we have met. On one occasion, they even assisted with the transferring of our laundry from the washer to the dryer - we didn’t had to wait to DIY and just went to bed, collected them at the reception then following morning - which was a very delightful experience for us. The hotel gym is also extremely well equipped if you need a workout to acclimatise to the higher altitude. Overall a very enjoyable stay for three of us.

Pusu is so beautiful in every way! It’s located right next to Erhai lake, spacious outdoor decking area, to enjoy the view. A lovely lobby, delicious breakfast and afternoon tea. Their rooms are clean and quiet. Pusu team is amazing. All the staff are friendly and attentive throughout the entire trip. Travelled with mum and dad, we had a wonderful stay. Special thanks to Xiao Luo, 小罗 our butler. He took good care of us. Definitely a 5 star experience. Highly recommended.

This resort hotel next to Erhai Lake in Dali is simply a paradise on earth! Although I was mentally prepared for the beautiful scenery, I was still amazed by it! The hotel is located halfway up the mountain in Wenbi Village, on the side of Rainbow Road, with an excellent viewing position. When you open the window, you can see the beautiful scenery of Erhai Lake, blue sky, white clouds, and sparkling waves, and your mood will be instantly beautiful! I'm really good at choosing hotels. I saw the recommended hotel on Ctrip and clicked on it. I booked two nights first, and then extended my stay for two nights immediately after checking in. The hotel is next to the Three Pagodas Chongsheng Temple and at the foot of Cangshan Mountain. The environment is beautiful, the air is super fresh, and it's a real oxygen bar. It's quiet, needless to say. In short, the environment is amazing. The room is new and large, clean and tidy, and the toiletries are all Yunnan Baiyao, which is safe to use. You can play in the hotel for a whole day. The hotel also provides a spa, but I didn't make an appointment to experience it every day. I'll leave it for next time. The housekeeper Mei Zi's service is warm, thoughtful and meticulous, and I really like it. Sincerely recommend it to everyone.
