Golden Sands Dubai Creek

Deira
This was my first stay at this hotel since it was rebranded, however I have stayed over 60 nights in the past 8 years when it was a Hilton branded hotel. The ownership of the hotel hasn't changed, just the branding. So, with all that said, all I can really do is compare it to the hotel it used to be. The hotel closed for like 6 months last year and did some renovations, reopening as the Golden Sands Hotel Creek. Still a great location near the airport (DXB) but far enough out of the flight path that aircraft noise isn't really an issue. The hotel is now alcohol free. The main renovation I noticed was all new carpeting throughout and a new pool deck on the top floor. The carpet color scheme is a bit odd, with lots of light colors that already are showing stains and marks. It is a DEFINITE improvement from the old carpet which was very dated. The lobby is nice and sparkly but I always recall it was that way. The rooms were exactly the same with reupholstered furniture (still the same chrome framing and styling) and the glass top desk, wood style cabinets and black tile bathroom. I was on the 8th floor in a ”Creek View” room (yes, I could ”see” the creek) but what I really saw was the huge LED info sign on the Chamber of Commerce building that I think might be new since I last stayed in April 2021. It was really an annoyance and reminded me more of Las Vegas than Dubai. The bed was comfortable but I'm unsure if it has been replaced. Other things I noticed: bathroom sinks still drain slow; there is no way you can take a shower without partially flooding the bathroom floor; I think they removed a phone; they moved the Qibla compass from the glass desktop to the ceiling. Looks like they removed the sheer curtains and perhaps have replaced the blackout curtains. What has really changed was the pricing. I paid almost double per night from what I paid in the past, Check in was the same, always a bit slow. Since I booked through a travel site who required prepayment, all I had to pay for was the nightly some-sort-of-tax-or-fee which I was aware of. They didn't ask for nor perform a charge on my credit card so I could charge things to my room, which I found out the next night when room service ask for payment. I went the front desk the next morning and made the arrangement but somehow room service never could see that it was done so I had to pay at the time of food delivery. I thought I was told at check in that rooms would be serviced daily but I had to call daily and they always took the used towels but never gave me clean ones until I called back. I was either asking for the wrong thing or there is a serious training issue. Otherwise the room was fine although they did add a Do Not Disturb/Clean Room/Doorbell panel at the door. The breakfast buffet was nice, lots of variety and it seems more Middle Eastern style items which was great, but also very suitable Western Style foods in plenty. I frankly only ate the breakfast buffet once in the past, almost always eating breakfast and a light dinner and aperitif in the Executive Lounge (which is now closed but looks exactly the same through when you look in). So, here's the bottom line...... The hotel is nice, clean, a bit updated and still a nice boutique hotel in the Deira district, close to the airport and a larger souk A great view of the city and Dubai creek from the pool deck. If you stayed there when it was a Hilton, you will probably be a bit disappointed. The staff seemed nice, attentive, but somewhat untrained. Getting a simple document printed turned out to be a challenge and the business center was closed for some reason that didn't make sense to me. I will probably not stay there again and return to the Sheraton up the street. (which a staff member told me to go if I wanted a beer). Otherwise, give it a try and check it out for yourself! PS: Did I mention it was alcohol free? :)

We had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen with sea view. It was very well equipped, with dishwasher and washing machine. Very comfortable bed. Very clean on arrival and cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. The hotel has excellent facilities - large restaurant area, gym and swimming pool. Breakfast choice was superb. It is very well located - short walking distance to the Tram (Palm Jumeirah station) and the monorail to the Palm. Most notably are the hotel staff who were always welcoming, polite and helpful -especially Main at the hotel reception who was very helpful when we needed a doctor

My recent stay at the Sheraton Grand Dubai was an unparalleled experience of luxury and hospitality. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until the day of my departure, every aspect of my stay was meticulously curated to perfection. Allow me to share my heartfelt praise for the exceptional service provided by the remarkable staff, as well as the convenient location that made my visit to the World Trade Center a breeze. First and foremost, I must commend the outstanding service of Receptionist Nipuni. Her warm welcome and efficient assistance during check-in set the tone for a truly memorable stay. Nipuni's attention to detail and genuine care for guest satisfaction made me feel instantly at home in this elegant establishment. Her professionalism and personalized service were evident throughout my stay, making every interaction a delight. I also want to express my gratitude to Front Office Bilal for his exemplary hospitality and impeccable service. Bilal's professionalism and dedication to ensuring a seamless guest experience were truly commendable. From handling inquiries with ease to providing valuable insights about the local area, Bilal's assistance was invaluable throughout my stay. His friendly demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond exceeded my expectations, leaving a lasting impression of excellence. Furthermore, I cannot overlook the exceptional culinary experience provided by Anmol at the Feast restaurant. Each morning, Anmol greeted me with a contagious enthusiasm and expertly crafted latte customized to my preferences. His creativity and attention to detail transformed my breakfast into a culinary adventure, with innovative flavor combinations and beautiful latte art that never failed to impress. Anmol's passion for his craft and commitment to exceeding guest expectations truly elevated my dining experience to new heights. In addition to the exemplary service, the Sheraton Grand Dubai's convenient location added to the allure of my stay. As I was in town for an exhibition at the World Trade Center, the hotel's proximity to this venue was incredibly convenient, with just a few minutes' walking distance between the two. This strategic location not only saved me valuable time but also provided easy access to explore the vibrant surroundings of Dubai. In conclusion, my stay at the Sheraton Grand Dubai was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Receptionist Nipuni, Front Office Bilal, and Anmol from Feast restaurant. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine warmth exemplify the epitome of hospitality. Coupled with the hotel's convenient location near the World Trade Center, I wholeheartedly recommend the Sheraton Grand Dubai to anyone seeking a luxurious retreat in the heart of Dubai. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, knowing that I will be greeted with the same level of excellence and warmth that made this stay unforgettable.
JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai

Business Bay
We booked a staycation in Dubai to celebrate my birthday, hoping to enjoy some quality time together with my sister. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mr. Rodel, who assisted us with our luggage. He was extremely polite and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the very start. However, our experience at the reception during check-in was extremely disappointing. When we approached Mr. Abdelrahman at the front desk, he requested our IDs. I provided my Emirates ID since the room was booked under my name. Unfortunately, my sister had forgotten her physical ID and asked if an electronic copy would suffice. He immediately said, “No.” She explained that she had forgotten her ID, and I asked what we should do since we had travelled all the way from Abu Dhabi. I asked if they would accept me but not my sister, what would be the point? His response was once again a firm, “No, we need a physical ID. We cannot do anything about that.” Despite our efforts to explain the situation, he remained unyielding, insisting that only I would be accepted and not my sister. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed, so I requested to speak with the manager. Abdelrahman continued with the check-in process without further engagement. When the manager arrived, he explained that while the protocol does indeed require physical IDs, they would make an exception this time. My sister acknowledged that it was her mistake not to bring her physical ID, but the way Abdelrahman handled the situation was far from satisfactory. His repeated refusals, without offering any alternative solutions, were disappointing—especially considering this is a 5-star hotel. Proper customer service, particularly in the hospitality industry, involves more than just saying “No.” It requires understanding, empathy, and a willingness to assist guests to the best of one’s ability. After check-in, we were assisted by Mr. Choi, who helped us with our bags and escorted us to our room. His professionalism and courteous demeanour were a complete contrast to our earlier experience. Mr. Choi, along with Mr. Rodel, Mr. Gaurav, and Mr. Rozaldo, truly stood out during our stay. They were all incredibly helpful, polite, and welcoming, and they deserve recognition for their excellent customer service. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the check-in experience left a negative impression. I hope the front desk staff receive further training in customer service, particularly in terms of empathy and problem-solving. A simple “No” is not the answer to every situation, especially when guests are looking for assistance.
Sofitel Dubai the Obelisk

The Obelisk, Dubai Club upgrade is a must! The 360 degree views from floor 51 are unforgettable. I enjoyed many a cup of tea on Floor51 viewing amazing sunsets, the night sky and watching the coloured lights on the Burj Khalifa. During a very hot period due to a sudden change in the weather it was a treat to be able ‘pop’ to floor 51 and enjoy tea/coffee, afternoon tea and drinks in the evening whilst enjoying the stunning views. An excellent breakfast with a wide variety of items to meet all dietary needs. The room was lovely with stunning views. The swimming pool allowed a good swim and was particularly pretty in the evening. Fascinating watching the window cleaners! Not a job I would want. I am full of admiration. We did receive an upgrade as we waited 90 minutes to check in for club class. Staff need to be more relaxed. Just feel they are on edge. Your plate disappears nearly before you have finished eating. This in turn put me on edge. A more welcoming atmosphere needs to be adopted but still remaining standards. A special thank you goes to 'Satish' (do hope I have the correct name). He provided me with excellent service. i do say a very big 'thank you' to him. Satish you left me with some very interesting thoughts! To which I say thank you.
Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

Palm Jumeirah
Just had the time of my life at the Marriott Resort on Palm Jumeirah, and let me spill the tea – it was an absolute dream. Let's start with the basics – this place is drop-dead gorgeous. The kind of beauty that makes you stop and go, ”Wait, am I really staying here?” The design, the ambiance, everything screams luxury without being too snooty. Rooms? Clean as a whistle and spacious enough to do a victory dance. You can tell they don't mess around when it comes to keeping things tidy. No dust bunnies dared to show their faces during my stay. Now, let's talk about the goodies. The amenities are no joke. They've got everything from a gym that could rival a fitness center to a spa that's basically a slice of heaven. And can we talk about those free drinks? In the room, by the pool, and even on the beach – they're practically handing you luxury on a silver platter. And speaking of the beach – private beach alert! It's like having your own secret paradise, far away from the hustle and bustle. I practically lived there, soaking in the tranquility like it was going out of style. The vibe at this place is next level – quiet, classy, and just the right amount of boujee. Whether you're sipping cocktails by the pool or diving into a feast at one of their fancy restaurants, you'll feel like you've been upgraded to a VIP status. Major props to the staff – these guys are hospitality wizards. They made every interaction a pleasure, from check-in to chowing down. Friendly, professional, and always ready to make your stay feel like you're the main character in your own luxury novel. Now, let's talk about the breakfast – oh boy, it's a game-changer. They don't mess around when it comes to the most important meal of the day. It's a feast for the senses with a spread that could make a food critic weep tears of joy. From continental classics to exotic delights, every craving is satisfied. I'm still daydreaming about those breakfasts – they alone are worth the stay. And let's not forget the view from my room – breathtaking doesn't even begin to cover it. Waking up to that kind of scenery is like getting a daily dose of visual therapy. In a nutshell, if you're ready to treat yourself like royalty, the Marriott Resort on Palm Jumeirah is the place to be. It's a stay that feels like a vacation from reality, and I can't recommend it enough. Treat yourself – you deserve it.

Title: A Fantastic Stay at Jumeirah Beach Hotel I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jumeirah Beach Hotel during my trip to Dubai, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and attended to all my needs throughout my stay. The hotel itself is nothing short of spectacular. The breathtaking view of the Arabian Gulf from my room left me in awe. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect haven to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's private beach, which truly exceeded my expectations. The powdery white sand, crystal-clear waters, and a variety of water sports activities made for an unforgettable beach experience. The Beach Club staff were attentive and ensured that I had everything I needed for a enjoyable day by the shore. Dining at Jumeirah Beach Hotel was a culinary delight. The hotel offers an array of restaurants serving a wide range of cuisines, catering to every palate. Whether it was indulging in delicious Middle Eastern cuisine at one of the fine dining establishments or enjoying a casual beachfront meal, the quality of food and the exceptional service impressed me. In terms of facilities, Jumeirah Beach Hotel exceeded all expectations. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the spa offered a range of luxurious treatments for ultimate relaxation. Additionally, the hotel's pool area was immaculate, providing a tranquil atmosphere to soak up the sun. Lastly, I must mention the hotel's location. Situated along the iconic Jumeirah Beach, the hotel offers easy access to the city's major attractions, making it a convenient choice for exploring Dubai. Whether it's shopping at Dubai Mall, visiting the Burj Khalifa, or experiencing the vibrant nightlife, everything was just a short drive away. I had some difficulty with the check in, booked luxe sea view room thinking of the pool view as shown in the website then they gave me a room which was totally different , can’t see any pool view , spoke with somebody in the phone from the room as I was not happy of the room , then a lady , named Freya spoke who was very rude and very poor customer service who was not trying to help in any way , I was not happy then went to the reception to speak about it , there was a receptionist named Anjali , who was very lovely , who sort out my room problem and gave me a new room as advertised and I was very happy . Because of receptionist Anjali ,who was brilliant, had great customer service made my day and saved my experience in the hotel . I am giving all these 5 star just for Anjali, who was star of my visit to the hotel , otherwise will have given 0 star for the customer service provided by the in-house room manager Freya , who was rude and zero customer service , donor try to help in anyway . The place is really good mainly for parties , young people . I love the place , vibes.
