We managed to see the peak on our second morning after taking the earliest transfer from the hotel. We have to thank the staff who are so professional and constantly act in our best interests. Best service we had in our trip to China so far. The rooms are good, and the hotel cluster is well taken care of. There are transfers between the hotel and the ski resort, the hot spring centre, the scenic area as well as the train station. For free pickups from the train station, you will need to call the hotel beforehand. I didn’t get a local phone number and had to borrow my previous hotel’s phone to book a pickup. They will also arrange for a free drop-off at the train station. The hotel compound looks beautiful in winter. The staff even built snowmen around the compound and we saw rabbits on our first night here. There are a few things which fell short of expectations, but we understand are beyond the control of the hotel. The outdoor hot spring water is super murky, and the toilets in the hot spring centre smells quite bad one day during our stay. And while the hotel does provide priority access to the peak of Changbai Mountain, the company running the scenic area may not open the access queue during peak periods, and will request that you queue with the tour groups. However, the warm service by the hotel staff trumps these shortcomings and we have immensely enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall.

The hotel is near the train station, so there are a lot of people and cars, and it is very lively. There are four parking spaces in front of the hotel, which seems a bit too few. But the land near the train station is very expensive, and it is not easy to get it. Everything in the hotel is small, the front desk is small, the lobby is small, and the room is even smaller. There are couple of things that I love about this hotel and some things that they can be improve. 1. Hotel is nice, bed is comfy as expected 2 . Very near to the mall, where there are tons of delicious food/ restaurants there 3. There is subway just beside the hotel which is very convenient if you choose to take subway 4. Breakfast is varies from Chinese to western which is great. I usually have omelette, toasted bread, coffee and juices. We had issue with the air purifier, and asked for someone to fix it then seems it couldn’t be fixed, then they keep coming back coz after 5 mins of use it’s broken again. We asked to change to another one, at first they keep saying that no way that it’s broken, but it is broken. Finally they changed, but they wasted our time, we wanted to sleep early instead having them in the room with us. This kind service should be improved. They should just take it away and fixed it somewhere else and not to disturb guests.

We stayed in a Superior River-view Queen Room at the World Trade Winning Hotel for seven nights. we were able to check in and check out smoothly and done within 10 mins. Staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. Decor is a bit dated but rooms are spacious and well supplied. Shower and bath are pretty efficient. Housekeeping is great and the lady was very helpful and sweet. Consistently good service by staff across the hotel, from the front desk staff to the concierge for baggage storage to restaurant. Over all, a very pleasant 7-day stay. Location is good for getting around by foot but to get a taxi can be a bit challenging as the location of the hotel is not convenient for taxi’s. The night before I left China, there was construction work going on outside the hotel, and the constant noise kept me awake all night, which was a terrible experience.
