I rented a car from Hertz inside the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. If you're unlucky, the car may be older or have scratches or dents, so it's a good idea to take photos. There is no inspection for scratches or dents. The interior was very well cleaned, and the staff seemed busy. Rentals are on a 24-hour basis, but you can return it overnight on the same day, which saves on parking fees. To return, park on the rooftop in the Royal Hawaiian Center parking lot, put the parking ticket in the drink holder, lock the car, and put it in the lock box on the 4th floor. It's very convenient, so I'll definitely rent again.

The rental car building is right there when you arrive at Honolulu International Airport, and it's easy to find the counter you need to go to. The staff were very polite when I rented. Since it was early in the morning, the car I wanted was available in all colors, but they told me I could choose any color I wanted, so I did. I've rented cars on the US mainland before, so this may be unique to the US, but staff don't accompany rental cars to check for scratches, so I think it would be a good idea to take a video of the exterior condition of the car before driving it in case something happens, which will help avoid any issues. By the way, I haven't received any complaints about damages to the exterior so far.

I had requested a Ford Mustang, but when I completed the reservation and headed to the parking lot, the cool lady at the counter told me, "We don't have any Mustangs."
When I asked her to help me find one, she made a show of looking, but then said, "No, we don't have any. But we do have plenty of Jeep Wranglers or Cadillac XT6s for the same price."
This is America, so there's no point in worrying about the small details. However, after carefully checking the insurance and return terms against the written document, I chose a red Jeep Wrangler. The license plate number was 575, which seems auspicious.
This made for a very comfortable week in Hawaii.
When it was time to return the car, I simply scanned the barcode and it was done. It was easier than using the self-service register at the supermarket. A short time later, I received a PDF statement confirming that there were no additional fees or issues.
Overall, it was a simple and convenient process. I highly recommend Alamo Rent-A-Car!

The Chrysler Pacifica can accommodate two 30-inch suitcases, two 28-inch suitcases, and two 20-inch suitcases, and six people. Pickup is available at Honolulu Airport and return in downtown Waikiki. If you select this option on Trip.com, the daily rate will be 300,000 won. I was so grateful that Avis Center arranged this for me. Avis is the best rental car company.
