Located next to the Rowing Canal, our hotel is convenient to historical sites and offers a shuttle to nearby attractions. We’re 600 meters from the Eternal City, a recreated ancient town transporting you back in time. Registan Square and Shah-i Zinda are within 10 kilometers from us. We offer rooms with balconies, meeting rooms, and a restaurant with a terrace.
"I stayed here alone and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The location is a little far from the city center, so you will probably need to use Yandex to get around. One thing to keep in mind is that it can be difficult to find a Yandex taxi early in the morning. I recommend asking the front desk to arrange a taxi in advance. I paid 80,000 som from the hotel to the train station.
Also, the hotel does not have a currency exchange service. The nearest option is the Hilton Regency across the street, but it takes around 30 minutes to walk there.
One small thing to note is that there was no toothbrush in the room, so I had to ask the front desk for one.
Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel, especially if you don’t mind using taxis to get around."

"This was a really nice and clean hotel!
It seems like a newer hotel, but it was easy to get to as I just entered the hotel name into YandexGo and it came right up!
When I travel abroad, I often treat the TV as just a decoration, but this one supported YouTube and Amazon Prime, which allowed for some truly enjoyable downtime!
Honestly, I think even those who have only stayed in Japanese hotels or are first-time international travelers would be thoroughly satisfied here!"

"The best part of this hotel is its location: It is especially close to Hazrat Khizr mosque and Shah I Zinda, but is truly walking distance to all the main attractions in Samarkand.
The room itself was fairly nice and new, but the supplied amenities felt a bit cheap - instead of bottled water, you get water in sealed plastic cups. The shampoo comes in very small 10ml bottles and there is no shower gel, just bar soap. Also, the housekeeping was very non-thorough. Even though I explicitly requested for my room to be cleaned, I came back to the room to find a half emptied rubbish bin (Why can’t they empty the whole thing?) and my hairs still on the floor of the toilet.
There was a decent spread at breakfast and the taste was okay. The hotel staff are all quite nice but some of them may not speak English so well."

Find us in Samarkand, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. We’re a 10-minute drive from UNESCO World Heritage Site Registan Square and its three madrassahs. Siab Bazaar is less than three kilometers away and Ulugh Beg Observatory is five kilometers away. The Samarkand International Airport is a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
"The hotel's location isn't right in the city center, but it's relatively close to the Samarkand railway station. Taking a taxi to attractions like Registan Square or Shah-i-Zinda takes only about ten minutes, so sightseeing is completely unaffected. The room is indeed small and a bit cramped, but it feels more comfortable than the photos on the booking page suggest—no disappointing ”photoshop vs. reality” gap. The shower water pressure is great, and the mattress has a nice firmness, making for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is average—filling, but nothing special. I was initially worried the room would be a letdown, but the actual experience exceeded expectations. Good value for money, and I would recommend it to travelers with a similar budget."

There was no refrigerator in the room, but a shared one was available at the reception.
The room was on what seemed to be the third floor, and it was quiet.
Downsides:
- The brightly patterned carpet made it hard to see what was on the floor. I found someone else's pair of socks and stepped on a needle…
- Minor point, but still: the electricity went out several times during the night, and the air conditioner rebooted with a noise.
- Instead of a duvet, there was just a sheet."

"This is probably one of the best hotels my husband and I have ever stayed in.
Everything is wonderful, and you can feel it in the details – from the scent at the entrance to the high-quality tableware at breakfast.
The service is impeccable, the cleanliness is excellent, and the breakfasts are amazing.
I'd also like to highlight the convenient location.
The outdoor pool is lovely, but in my opinion, there aren't enough sun loungers. The indoor spa area is good, but it would be even better if the pool was heated. The gym is also excellent.
On my birthday, the hotel congratulated me with a festive dessert. The next day, before we checked out, some treats were brought to our room. They were already inside when we realized it was a mistake and the gift was meant for other guests. So, you could say they just dangled it in front of us and crushed all our hopes 😂. They could have left it as an apology! Oh well, we're not offended))
The hotel is superb, I highly recommend it!"

"The front desk staff spoke excellent English. We were a party of three and booked a twin room and a king room, which were conveniently located on the same floor – that was great. The hotel is located outside the city center, but it's not too far, and getting a taxi is very affordable. It's wonderfully quiet at night. The hotel also offers complimentary massages. There's a small scenic area nearby with Central Asian Islamic architecture, which is newly renovated and much better maintained than some of the older, less-kept attractions in the city center. The restaurants within this scenic area serve delicious food, though they are a bit on the pricier side for this city."

"I had a pleasant stay at Meridian Plaza Hotel. The location, facilities, and overall amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
However, there were a few housekeeping issues that could be improved. On one occasion, the trash in the bathroom was not emptied during room cleaning, and a cleaning cloth was accidentally left hanging on the door handle after housekeeping service.
While these were minor issues, paying closer attention to housekeeping details would make the guest experience even better. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again."

Guest UserThis traditional house, with its beautiful atrium, is nestled in an alleyway. At the entrance to the alley, there's a bakery, and you can really get a sense of local life, with residents and children playing. Despite its hidden location, it's conveniently just over a 10-minute walk to Registan Square.
I booked a room with a bathtub and had no issues with the hot water or water pressure. However, just like the 4-star hotel I stayed at in central Tashkent, there was no plug for the bathtub drain. I had to improvise with a plastic bag to fill it up and take a bath. Given the country's situation with the disappearing Aral Sea, I've come to accept that Japanese expectations don't really apply here.

Guest UserBeautiful hotel with a wine cellar downstairs, conveniently located 12 minutes' walk from the train station. However, it's a 20-minute taxi ride to the city center.
On the downside: it was cold! There was no heating in the room, and we froze at night! (It was 10 degrees Celsius outside, so naturally, it was cold inside too). Our room faced the road, and the noise insulation was terrible! We could hear everything from the street and the corridor!
There was a cigarette smell in the room! It seemed like someone had been smoking, and despite airing it out, the smell wouldn't go away! We asked to change rooms but were refused, told there were no other rooms available! Very unpleasant!
We did extend our stay by 6 hours for half the price, which was a plus.
Pros: The room had everything advertised, including a bathrobe – though only one, even though I booked for two people. The shower was broken; both showerheads (the rain shower too) seemed clogged, and water came out from the side on both, making it very inconvenient to shower.
There were only two pillows; four would have been better.
Other pros: Decent breakfast with coffee from a machine. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are clean and cozy.
There's an ironing board and iron in the hallway.
The beds are comfortable.

The location was good and the hotel was clean. Overall, I would recommend it.
The staff were kind and helpful. When I arrived at the hotel with a same-day reservation, they seemed to have prepared a larger room than expected, allowing me to relax comfortably.
There is no elevator, but this is a common building structure in Uzbekistan, so it wasn't a problem.
The breakfast was sufficient considering it was included in the room rate.
There is a currency exchange machine in the hotel, so you don't have to worry if you're short on cash.
Finally, be careful with the bathroom facilities in the room.

We were welcomed like honored guests at the hotel. Administrators Farrukh and Mamur promptly fulfilled all our requests. At breakfast, I asked if there were syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes). There weren't any that morning, but they prepared and brought them to us within 15 minutes. Utair airline delayed our flight by 11 hours, and there were no available rooms to extend our stay at the hotel, but the administrators once again ensured our wait was comfortable. We waited for our flight in the cozy hotel lobby. I'd also like to mention the hotel's location, which in our opinion, is the most convenient in Samarkand: a 5-minute walk to Registan, and excellent access to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Сначала поселили в ужасно тесный маленький номер. Потом переселили в более большой стандартный номер с компенсацией за де люкс. Вообщем управление отелем из рук вон плохое. Не понравилось. Не рекомендую.

Pros:
1. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Registan Square – incredibly convenient!
2. The room size is reasonable, and the facilities are great. There are hot and cold water dispensers on each floor, which is very handy. The room also has a small fridge, perfect for keeping drinks cold in the summer.
3. Downstairs is the hotel's own highly-rated restaurant, and there are two other restaurants nearby, making dining incredibly convenient. There are also small shops around for buying drinks and snacks.
4. As mentioned above, since the hotel has its own restaurant, the breakfast quality goes without saying.
5. The price is reasonable; I stayed in a single room for three nights for just over 500.
Cons:
The room seemed to have been recently painted, as there were a few drops of paint on the windowsill and mirror.

Guest UserNo words can say this better than the experience I had staying in Samarkhand. I was injured during transfer from Tashkent to Samarkhand. Found myself left at the curb with a sprained knee. A pickup passed by and actually helped me although it was a busy day for him. At the hotel, a pretty receptionist named Nozima was tremendously helpful. She was an angel sent to me during my 2 nights stay at Kampoeng Indonesia. Always attending and calling in on me for any needs. She assisted me with transfers, cancellations of bookings (due to my shortened trip), calling taxi for Tashkent for my trip back, calling paramedics and most of all translating all my needs into assistance, buggy call, and not to mention 3 meals a day. My gratitude also goes to the handsome pickup guy i didnt catch his name, Ulugbek the most charming buggy guy, Xofiza my morning breakfast lady, Fazila the breakfast cook, Pak Agus the dinner chef and those I couldnt name them. My travel to Uzbekistan was memorable because of these people. And yes I would say it million times, Uzbeks are nice kindred hearted people. Very helpful and curteous too. I would come back to Kampoeng Indonesia only to thank those lovely people!! Rahmat to all of you!!

Guest UserA good place to stay is all you needed especially if coming from Tashkent (bus ride took 5.5hrs to Samarkand) - and this hotel made it up for the long day.
The area is a bit of a walk to the attractions - but with this summer I don’t mind spending a few Uzbek SOMs for Yandex (w/c is cheap by the way). Hotel was new, spacious and clean. There’s AC to beat the heat in the city. And there’s even breakfast included at that price point and they don’t ask you to pay extra if you already consumed 2 bottled water a day. Special shoutout to their new staff, Ulugbek! He showed me what Uzbek hospitality means. Very helpful guy. And to their boss for returning the extra money I paid and for not forcing me to change room when there was a mixed up w/ the room assignments - I’m supposed to get the standard but, I was given the next tier by mistake.
