Hotels With breakfast in Waikato, New Zealand

"The room we received was nothing like the room advertised on your website. We made our booking through *********** based on the photographs, which portrayed a modern, clean, stylish, and well-maintained room. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. Instead of the fresh, contemporary room shown in the photos, we were given a room that felt old, tired, and poorly maintained. The flooring was covered with worn, old carpets and rugs rather than the clean, modern finishes we expected. The furnishings were dated, the overall appearance was shabby, and the room looked as though it had not been renovated in many years. It felt unclean and lacked the standard of comfort and quality that your promotional images suggested. To make matters worse, the fan in Room 412 was not working, making the room uncomfortable. Throughout the night, every time someone walked along the corridor, the old wooden floorboards creaked loudly, disturbing our sleep. These maintenance issues significantly affected our comfort and overall experience. To be completely honest, the condition of the room reminded us more of emergency housing than accommodation offered by a hotel with your name and reputation. The difference between what was advertised and what we actually received was shocking. We specifically chose your hotel because of the high-quality images displayed on ***********. Those images created an expectation of a premium experience, but the room we received fell far short of that expectation. Had the room been accurately represented, we would have made a different booking decision."

"Love the location just awesome! Right on the lake and you can walk out your door directly onto it and Sit outside on a table and admire the view! Restaurant was nice just a shame the fireplace is gas nothing like a real wood fire when it's Winter! Parking was fine and easy, so good they have a heated pool as it would be useless in Winter, they also have the Sauna which is great it just such a shame the grotto is out of order and was told it has been that way for a while. Something like that should be sorted at a last resort just rebuild it if it cannot be fixed customers expect it Bathroom was good with a nice big spa bath and this is by far the best bed we have ever slept in. It is huge! You could fix 6 people in it if haha!"

"We stayed one night en route to Hobbiton and liked it so much that we stayed another 2 later in our trip. Great location, and Cambridge is a relatively easy base to get to other places from. Beautiful decor throughout, nice finishings and really peaceful. It was very busy during our stay (around Christmas/NY) so a little wait for food/drinks but that’s to be expected. We had positive interactions with all hotel and restaurant staff. My only feedback is that the switches in the rooms have blue lights on them, which, for people that like a black-out room, can disrupt sleep. Hopefully an easy fix!"

"The hotel is very close to Hamilton Airport, making it convenient for both self-driving and catching flights. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities were complete, with a pool available for relaxation. The overall environment was quiet, perfect for a layover. The front desk service was good, but the check-in efficiency could be improved. Overall, it offers good value for money and is recommended."

"I decided to stay here while looking for a place to stay to see glow worms on a rental car trip. It was a great choice! The mascot Labrador welcomed me. I checked in around 4pm, but no one was there yet, so I was able to relax in the clean shared bathtub. The room had a nice New Zealand homey feel. There was a public golf course nearby, so I would have liked to play if I had had the time. However, there is nothing around, so it's better to stop by a supermarket before staying."

"The room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of Lake Taupo. It was very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job. There's a large parking lot below the hotel, making parking convenient. The path from the parking lot to the hotel is also well-lit. However, some rooms were undergoing renovations, and it was quite noisy in the mornings. This could be disruptive if you're looking for a relaxing vacation. Taupo is located in an earthquake zone, and we experienced a small tremor during our stay. It wasn't major, but it was a bit startling. It's good to be aware of this if you're planning a trip to Taupo; apparently, small earthquakes happen several times a year and are quite normal."

"Wow! We go upgraded to two bedroom apartment which was really handy since it has washer/dryer plus air conditioning in both bedrooms and open plan living area. Very clean and modern apartment with good appliances (Bosch cooktop, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer). The apartment is sound proofed. They also have 4 varieties of Zealong Tea Estate teas along with the Zealong cups plus coffee pods. The hotel is next to the lake and shops so it’s quite convenient. My only issue is that outside of night time sleeping hours, the air conditioner would turn off by itself after a few minutes. Other than that, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend it to others."

"The hotel is in a great central location, making it super easy to get to all the attractions we wanted to visit. The breakfast was really good too, and I appreciated that it was served a bit longer than other hotels, until 11 AM. Plus, there are tons of restaurants nearby, both Chinese and Western, which was very convenient."

"Very good location, close to the beach. spacious room with nice furnishing, balcony with view. special thanks to reception and admin that help to find a lost ring of us and arrange the delivery. 酒店位置很好，离海滩近。房间宽敞，设施很好，树屋有阳台景观。特别致谢酒店前台和管理部门，帮助我们找到遗失的戒指并安排快递给我们。"
