It's just a few hundred meters to the Cardboard Cathedral and Riverside Market, and the hotel is in a shopping district so you can go shopping as soon as you step out. However, the room is tiny, especially the bathroom – if you're a bit on the larger side, you might struggle to even get in. Plus, there's no closet, and a large suitcase won't fit anywhere. On the bright side, the room cleaning service is very good; someone tidies up every day, and the towels are always replaced with fresh ones."

It's located right next to the airport, just a few minutes' walk away, which is super convenient for travelers catching a 6 AM flight, eliminating any transportation worries. Also, because we were concerned our rental car wouldn't have enough space for all our luggage, I emailed the hotel to ask if we could store our bags a few days before our check-in when we arrived in Christchurch, and then pick them up when we officially checked in days later. The hotel quickly replied by email, confirming it was possible and free of charge. They even arranged for my family to stay in the adjacent room for easier care. This was truly fantastic! 😀"

Could not do Issues with the tv and not getting the channel I wanted Spa bath - did not work Lying in the bath, looking at the toilet from under the eye line. Totally discusting, big build up of unclean scum Even if the spa bath was working, no soap/bubble bath provided. Really quite disappointing as my last visit was great"

"I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade to a huge two-bedroom unit with a large kitchen, a spacious living room, and giant windows. It was very comfortable to stay in. It's also within walking distance to the lake and the Church of the Good Shepherd. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, which is really convenient."
