Anonymous UserThis lovely family-friendly hotel is situated high up in the mountains West of central Oslo. Getting there by public transport involves taking the world’s highest metro line for about 25 minutes, and then walking up quite a step hill. The reward once you get there is a main building steeped in Norse heritage, and a wonderful view of the fjord below. We stayed in a family room. The design of the lobby is contemporary and inviting, whilst the old building’s decor evokes Disney’s Frozen.
We have stayed at six other Scandic hotels in Sweden and Germany, and this is our firm favourite. We had lunch on the outside terrace and children’s meals are priced very competitively. The beetroot sallad was perhaps a bit small but the salmon and roe on sourdough was delicious. The breakfast didn’t disappoint either.
I’ve seen other reviewers lament the climb from the metro stop. To that I’d say: Welcome to Scandinavia! This why people look in shape. Extra shout out to the receptionist who helped us with a query near midnight. Would love to return again.

The room was just okay. I really disliked the bright red curtains; they felt quite basic. The table inside seemed flimsy, like it couldn't hold anything heavy. I booked a room with breakfast included, but it turns out it wasn't a proper breakfast—just a sandwich, yogurt, or coffee from the front desk. The prices here are shocking; a cup of coffee is 55, a banana is 15, a yogurt is 59, and a sandwich is around 100. A simple breakfast can easily cost several hundred. Norway's prices really make you hesitant to spend money. The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the train station and close to a shopping mall. However, if you're pulling a big suitcase, getting to the hotel involves walking up a steep hill, which is quite a struggle. The area around is also under construction and a bit messy. Overall, Oslo, Norway, was just very average.

XMHACTCHighly recommended. The hotel is part of an old post office, located right behind a bus stop, 100m from a tram stop and 500m from Oslo Central Station. There are restaurants just downstairs or nearby. The room is large enough and well-equipped, with a washing machine, a big drying rack, a microwave and all utensils. There is a public room for (self-service, super convenient, pretty large space) luggage storage facilities and all the necessites (tea packs, towels, linens, and ear plugs etc., though it is quiet at night) Everything is done on app, including check-in/out and opening the doors.
However, the door-opening function in the app doesn't work sometimes so you have to use code instead (there's no reception). Also, you have to go through some stairs at entrance and a winding passage to reach your room. The room is a little bit dark at night (even with all the lights on) for reading and writing. The TV is located in a weird position.

Wan Diana⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful anniversary stay
We had a wonderful stay at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Oslo, which was the perfect place to end our Scandinavian anniversary trip.
A special mention to Erik, who welcomed us during check-in. He was incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
We were also delighted with a Junior Suite upgrade for our 17th wedding anniversary, which made our stay even more special. ❤️
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was excellent, especially being so close to Oslo Central Station.
Thank you to Erik and the entire Plaza team for making our stay so memorable. We would happily stay here again! ❤️🇳🇴

shay shaharThe hotel is very close to the central train station. In fact, you can cross the bridge (covered) to the nearby mall, exit on the 1st floor, cross the road and enter the hotel. The hotel's surroundings are dirty and less pleasant, both because of renovations and construction in the area and from a human perspective.
A short walk (5 minutes) brings us to the main street, or to the central square, or to the opera house)
The hotel itself, like the other chain hotels, is commendable. Free coffee/tea, water/soda in the lobby and sometimes also fruit and small pastries.
We were given a spacious room on the fourth floor with large windows that can be opened. This is important when it's hot, but the windows face an internal courtyard so there is no view and no good air exchange. The room was ventilated, but there was no air conditioning.
The bed was comfortable. A large and pleasant shower room with a wide shower that you don't have to crowd into. Two sinks and a large window.
A seating area with two armchairs and a standing lamp (without the bulb itself...)
The room was maintained to a reasonable but not excellent standard. (Lack of bulb, stains on the chair upholstery, clogged shower head that we asked to replace and it was replaced quickly).
A very good, varied and wonderful breakfast like in the entire chain.
We would return to this hotel if we had heavy luggage and came to stay overnight but not for a vacation.

Guest UserFirst of all, my baby and I brought 3 pieces of luggage, and the receptionist didn't seem to want to help at all. When I checked out, I met a very good receptionist, who was very nice and enthusiastic. The hotel is in a good location and has a high cost-effectiveness. This price is much more comfortable than living in Japan.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Quality Hotel Hasle Linie during our New Year’s trip to Oslo, and it truly exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel welcome with warm smiles and helpful service. Check-in was smooth and fast, which was perfect after a long travel day.
Our rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable — exactly what we needed for a relaxing stay with a group of friends. The beds were cozy, the bathroom was spotless, and the views from the rooms were lovely. We especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities that made everything feel special for the holiday.
The location was fantastic, just a short distance from major attractions, shopping areas, and public transportation. It made exploring Oslo so convenient, whether we were heading out for dinner or wandering around the city to enjoy the New Year festivities.
One highlight was the breakfast buffet — fresh, varied, and delicious. There was something for everyone, and it gave us great energy to start each day full of adventure.
Overall, Quality Hotel Hasle Linie gave our group a memorable and comfortable stay. We loved celebrating the New Year here, and we would absolutely come back again. Highly recommended!

Really loved this hotel! First off, the location is fantastic – super convenient for getting around, as you can walk everywhere. Plus, it includes breakfast and dinner, and even complimentary afternoon tea. The food was great too. You can tell this hotel is run with a lot of care and attention to detail.

The hotel's location is very central, with all the city's attractions within walking distance, right next to the busiest pedestrian street. However, it's a bit far from the station. On the day I arrived, dragging my luggage from the station on a slippery road, it took me a while to find it. There's construction happening next door and across the street, which slightly affects the view. The room isn't large, but it's fine for one person. Breakfast was also decent.

Anonymous UserDefinitely a busier part of town but we enjoyed being in the middle of it. Could see and hear the water fountains in the park from window. There is a little second level perch/balcony which was amazing to sit at during the evening sun while sipping some of the delicious white wine provided by hotel. Easy walk to the train stations and overall great location for walking to all of the places we wanted to go to. Beds were very comfortable and we had excellent sleep! Morning breakfast was amazing and had a very nice ambiance! I can’t believe the fresh juice station and health shots…America needs to step up the game as far as hotel breakfasts.
