"This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a five-minute walk from the train station. It's far enough away from Nara's overly friendly deer that you don't have to worry about being bumped into or stepping in droppings.
The hot springs here were our absolute favorite – so peaceful and comfortable, with friendly service. The restaurant recommendations from the front desk staff were a real treasure; every place they suggested was fantastic.

"This has been one of the best if not THE best experience I have ever had in a Japanese hotel. We stayed in Nara for 2 days. The hotel has only a few rooms and quietly located within walking distance of the Kasuga Taisha. The room we had faces the forest on one side and a beautiful path on the other, and it was super large.
It might not be as noticeable as others near the train station, but it’s a must try if you plan to stay in Nara for an extended period, which in its own rightis definitely worth it."

"This hotel is excellent, right next to Nara Station, just a few minutes' walk to the shopping street, making dining, drinking, and shopping incredibly convenient. It's also not far from Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple, and Kasuga Taisha Shrine; you just need to walk through the shopping street to get there. The front desk staff are warm and professional, and the room facilities are very new, clean, and tidy. The breakfast is extensive, and they even had lychees! As for the price, it's absolutely fantastic value – you get four-star facilities and service for a three-star price."

"The location is excellent, right around the corner from Kintetsu Nara Station. It's also a short walk to Nara Park. The hotel service is top-notch. The room is small but fully equipped, clean, and tidy. The toiletries are from Pola, which are of high quality. We spent all day sightseeing and were exhausted, but we slept wonderfully and woke up feeling completely refreshed."

"We received great service from the staff. Luggage was brought to when we waited for check-in. Room is spacious and very clean. It's an exoerience to stay in such traditional Japanese style hotel. Hot bath was nive as well. The price is a bit on the higher side compared to regular hotels, but its the experience you get instead, including traditional indoor clothing."

"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Asia as a solo traveller for 2 years, the amenities and value for money were exceptional, huge rooms by japans standards. Only issue is the location, if you don’t have a car it’s a walk for everything, even the closest konbini is 10-12 minute walk, which isn’t end of the world but it’s not as convenient as used to with Japan. The roads surrounding are not really made for walkingeither, it’s dual carriageways. And getting to the central tourist zone of Nara is a pain, 15 mins to closest bus stop. My train out of Nara was also a 25 minute walk with heavy bags. If the location was better it really would be 10/10."

This time, we included a buffet breakfast and dinner. There are not many categories, but there are still surprises. It includes many specialties of Kashihara Nara, and provides a lot of sauces, which can be DIY. A student team checked in on the second day of the stay, but the hotel management is good, orderly, and food is added in time. The overall feeling is great."

"The hotel is a little far from the JR station, you have to take a bus, but you can walk to Kintetsu Nara Station. The location is next to Toda Temple, and it is very convenient to Nara Park and other attractions. The hotel staff has a first-class service attitude, very attentive, fluent English answers, and patiently explained various hotel facilities and services. There are also small gifts for staying here, and the content of the gift is not spoiled first, but it is really heartwarming. In terms of room facilities, the open-air wind is very comfortable, and it is a great joy in life to soak in the weather with only zero degrees outside. The room was clean and satisfactory, the space was large, the 𧝁𧝁 meter mattress was also very comfortable, I slept well, and cleaned the tiredness of the journey for a day. In terms of dining, dinner and breakfast are both Japanese food, very exquisite, fresh ingredients, and a good dining experience. 
The stay was very good and highly recommended."

Guest UserChecking in can take a while, as the butler asks quite a few detailed questions and then gives a thorough introduction to the building and its various areas. Some staff members have good English, others not so much, which can sometimes make understanding difficult, but it doesn't significantly impact the overall experience.
The breakfast is exquisite. During the tail end of the Golden Week holiday, we had to queue for a table. The Japanese grilled fish was delicious, but other dishes were just okay. The Western options were decent and quite plentiful. The room was clean and tidy, and on our last day, we even saw deer chasing and playing in the courtyard.
The hotel has a distinct resort vibe, and Kengo Kuma's design features many highlights. It's a tranquil oasis in a bustling area, and the courtyard is beautifully maintained. Most guests seemed to be older, well-established families, with fewer young people. (As a 'workhorse' who needed to get some work done in the evening, I found there were no power outlets near the desk for my laptop, which really drove home the point that everyone else was truly here to relax and enjoy their vacation).
Overall, I had a very pleasant and comfortable holiday. It's a beautiful hotel and definitely worth experiencing.

honeeThis was my second time visiting Nara, and this time I traveled completely independently. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Coming from Kyoto on the Kintetsu Nara Line, you just walk straight down a bustling shopping and food street from the subway station, and the hotel is right at the end. It has a resort-style feel. There's no hot water dispenser in the room, so if you want hot water, you have to go downstairs, which is a bit inconvenient. I ended up bringing my own water every day. Bus route number 2 stops right outside and is a loop line, making it easy to get to all the attractions whenever you want.

The room was very new, and having 5 bottles of complimentary mineral water was a nice touch. Being away from the street, the room was quiet. The shuttle bus to the train station every half hour made getting around super convenient. Great value for money.

Good ..The guide lady who helped show me the way was especially nice. She could even speak a bit of Chinese. She helped me get on the shuttle bus to the station. And the scenery around here is really amazing.

littlelukelookThis hotel is super conveniently located right next to JR Nara Station, making transportation a breeze. There's a 7-Eleven and a large supermarket next to JR Nara Station, which is really handy. You can also catch a bus right outside the hotel to Nara Park.
The hotel offers many optional services, showing great thoughtfulness.
The onsen (hot spring) experience was generally good. They even provided sleep aids like different pillows and sleep supplements.
My room was quite spacious for one person, though the facilities were relatively simple. The keyless entry with a password lock on the door was great as it meant I didn't need to carry a room card. The hairdryer was a Refa, and it was fantastic!
The best part was definitely the free happy hour at the restaurant in the evenings. There was a wide variety of drinks available, and many guests brought food from the convenience store to enjoy with their drinks.

Hygiene: Yellow stains that had not been cleaned were found on the toilet
Environment: Halfway up Mount Wakakusa, isolated from the outside noise. The overall design style is modern Japanese. If you want to experience pure Japanese living, you should pay attention to the difference
Service: The service is still worthy of praise. The driver and front desk staff are very enthusiastic. They helped arrange the car to go up the mountain in the morning. It was very lucky to see 👀 deer🦌 on a rainy day
Food: Most of the food arranged is made from local ingredients in Nara. The ingredients are not gorgeous, the taste is OK, and it is more down-to-earth

Guest UserThe room is spacious enough for two large suitcases, but there aren't many power outlets, which is a bit inconvenient. There are no convenience stores nearby; you have to walk a bit to find one. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the JR line, but quite far from the Kintetsu line.

slowly-rabbitThe room is quite big, and there is a small balcony where you can go out and get some fresh air. The chickens in the yard downstairs are sleek and shiny. They said there were four chickens, but I only saw three. The rice balls for breakfast are OK, freshly made by hand. It is within walking distance of Kintetsu Nara Station.
