"The hotel staff is very nice and everyone has a smile on their face. The hotel does not have a 24-hour front desk. I arrived after midnight on the night of check-in, but their staff actually waited for me to give me the room card. I was so touched and recommend everyone to stay here. The hotel is very close to the Red House, just a few minutes’ drive away"

"We added bed linens with additional charges but then we need to install it ourselves. We are already tired travel from far and setting the bedlinen ourselves is unacceptable.
For the men's shared bathroom( not the toilet), the floor is full of dirt, without slippers it is very bad experience. I was showering with naked feet because I only travel with shoes. As there's a short distance from room to the bathroom that need to step through murt, other traveller slippers also became dirty and just walk into shower area with slippers on.
There's plenty of space for shared kitchen which is awesome, but the auto door lock made it very inconvenient for a single person that is in middle of cooking and need to open door for partner, because 1 room is only given with 1 set of keys.
I did not expect that the full windowed view of waterfall is only for ordering meal, oherwise I would rather spend 1 meal there for the scenery, sadly I missed the awesome breakfast."

"We booked a triple room, the hotel was very intimate, the double bed plus a bed room type, divided into three beds for us. thank you very much! 👍👍👍
 There is a small tea area and a small refrigerator in the room. The windows are small and the room will be stuffy. The bathroom is large, but the toilet 🚽 equipment is old.
Breakfast is OK, but unfortunately the fruit seems to be canned 🥫 expired and has a sour taste.
-”The front desk and breakfast service staff are not good, there is nothing to eat in the hotel restaurant and nearby gas station at night, a very remote place.
Overall, it was the best night we slept in Iceland. Thank you very much for the quiet and comfortable three-story bed."

"In order to go to Straw Hat Mountain, I had to stay here. The hotel is quite new, the rooms are not big and the bathroom is even smaller. There are several large barrels in the yard where you can soak in hot springs. I haven't eaten in the hotel, so I don't know the price/performance ratio."

"I'm giving 3.5 points to the male receptionist for his excellent service. He was always proactive in asking if I needed help when he saw I had a problem. When my room's heating wasn't working, even though he was busy, he first sent a colleague to check it out (though that person was pretty dismissive, just telling me to wait and that it would heat up soon 🙄). As soon as he was done with his other tasks, he came over with a toolbox to fix it himself. He even repeatedly apologized for the issue, which was very gentlemanly of him. On the other hand, the female receptionist was very perfunctory; she even forgot to give me the entrance code when I checked in, leaving me to freeze outside for quite a while."

SsxycA little further out from Borgarnes but it’s a nice quiet place. It’s very cute and had everything needed during the stay. The breakfast had a large variety but pretty simple—still a good spread though no continuous restocks through breakfast time. There’s only stairs to get up to the second floor in the main building. The common area/lobby was very nice and cutely decorated. I greatly appreciated the various board games provided and we spent the night playing, laughing, and relaxing after a long day. Overall a clean place! Staff were very friendly and nice too!

The common areas are a bit dated and the bathroom is a problem in that the position of the sink makes it hard to use and the shower floods the bathroom unless you built a towel wall to contain the water to the shower but then you have sopping wet towels to deal with. The shower setup is the kind of thing you have to put up with in India and other 3rd world countries. This place is not close to any grocery stores so you have limited food options. I had the dinner buffet which was good but fairly expensive.

SsxycThe town is super lovely and cute. I loved climbing up the hill to the lighthouse during the evening to watch the sunset. Super easy check in and the room was very nice and modern. I liked the various storage spaces provided. There was a towel warmer in the bathroom which was greatly appreciated to help quickly dry some socks and shirts. A clean place with friendly staff. However, they’re very strict on regular check out time.

GGuest UserQuiet and clean hotel with lots of facilities which allow guests to enjoy. We arrived at the hotel late (after 9pm) and the hotel restaurant was still able to serve us food that was way beyond our expectations - the waitress was extremely kind and helpful. We were also able to catch the northern lights which was a pleasant surprise considering the time of the year (August). Overall, we are very pleased with our stay here.

Family room is spacious for 3 pax, it would be too cramp for the 4 as the 4th pax needs to use sofa bed.

FFreyja MStayed in one of the cabins in February with my husband and 3 month old son. The location is stunning, the cabin was perfect, very cosy and calming.
Weveach took a turn walking tonyhe steam room in the snow, it was an amazing experience!
Buffet breakfast was great and staff were all friendly l. Would stay here again!
