"Our lake-view ensuite mini-cabin was great for our 1 night stay at Myvatn, with sufficient parking space, clean geothermal shower and use of shared kitchen and lounge (even common BBQ grill) attached to our 4 mini-cabin cluster. We only wished there is a dustbin in our room (not just the toilet bin). Loved its quiet lakefront location with the Dimmuborgir lava fields and Hverfell crater just behind it. Continental breakfast spread was great with local specialities and waffles. Tip: Walk along the lake path outside the guesthouse at sunset. Myvatn nature baths are also less than 5-min drive away. There are plenty of midges in summer and while they were a minor bother and do not bite, just remember not to open the windows without the blinds in the warmer afternoons or evenings."

"THIS IS OUR MOST AFFORDABLE LUXURY STAY IN ICELAND 😭💯😭💯😭💯 IT FELT SO LUXURY AND FOR THE PRICE I PAID I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT EVEN MORE ONCE I GOT THERE. THE PRIVATE HOT TUB WAS A BLISS 😭 me and my friend had to skip common hot tub facilities that other accoms offered as it is either far from our room or it is open late in the evening meanwhile this one is private and u can use whenever except the jet has to be off after xx hour to not disturb the other rooms. I just love how private your room can be and just the view of akureyri while it was still bright outside to how the lights from Akureyri just blast your view and overlooking the mountain. Loved the dark rich interior vibe North Mountain View Suites is giving. Everything is nice. The design is just chefs kiss—i felt so rich and expensive lol. There’s even netflix and youtube and big modern tv in the room, private tub which you must dip yourself!!!, bath robes, hanger, literally not just big fridge but also freezer?!?! and yes, the suites leave a mint chocolate, coke, sprite and spring water in the fridge pls have it!!! There’s even oven 😭😭 Yes, the room is complete and have everything. IT IS JUST SO PERFECT!! If you love the mint choc (sirius brand), please drop by Bonus supermarket and you can get it for cheapest price (cheaper than Netto too!!!) oof yes we went to Netto and Bonus in Borgarnes all to hunt the exact mint choc bar 🤭 If you’re in Akureyri, please book this suites!!!! Luxury suites but the price that I got just made it unbelievable 😭💯😭💯😭💯"

"This was the best hotel of our Iceland trip, even better than the much more expensive Glacier Lagoon hot springs hotel. The mattress was comfortable, everything was clean and hygienic, and the shower was spacious. The facilities were new, and the breakfast was exquisite – they even had latte art, which is rare to find in Iceland, and it wasn't just from a machine or a pot! It's definitely the best choice when visiting Akureyri."

"Very cute design hotel with a cozy atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and lovely details throughout the property. I especially loved the lounge and game room area — I ended up spending almost three hours working on a puzzle there and hope someone finishes it after me! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I didn’t try the hot tub though, as it is located in the middle of the hotel and felt a bit too exposed since people can easily look at you from around the property."

"Solid guesthouse with a good breakfast. The journey there felt epic, as we were greeted by wild horses. The room was small but sufficient for one night. Some guests were unfortunately inconsiderate in the shared area, particularly regarding cleanliness, noise levels and unpleasant smell. The staff was friendly and attentive. Use of the hot tubs would have been free of charge."

The room was spacious and clean, with excellent hygiene. The view from the window was beautiful, offering sights of the sunrise and numerous small volcanic craters. Check-in and parking were convenient. The front desk even asked if we'd like to be notified about the Northern Lights, which was a very thoughtful touch. That evening, I managed to capture many photos of the aurora. We heard there's a free hot spring, but we weren't aware of it and missed out. Breakfast was plentiful.

My wife and I booked a double room in this hotel, full of rooms, and the door of the room is already using electronic locks! The first floor is the restaurant, check in is also at the restaurant counter, check in with a free drink from the restaurant. The kitchen has a simple microwave and a kettle to use. The bathroom is in the basement, and it will definitely pass the restaurant on the first floor. It feels a bit strange, and men may still go wrong into the women's bathroom. This part is a bit strange in the design of the compartment. There is a bar behind the hotel, which will be very noisy before snoring at night. Even if the soundproof airtight window is closed, it is quite loud; and the door bow buffer of the restaurant door on the first floor of the hotel is not enough, and the closing will affect the upstairs!

I had a wonderful stay near Goðafoss—just a 2-minute walk from the waterfall, which was absolutely breathtaking. The host was incredibly helpful and kind, going out of their way to check the weather forecast for us and even letting us know the best time to see the Northern Lights. Their hospitality made our trip even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore this magical part of Iceland!
