Hotels With breakfast in Crete, Greece

The spa - hamam, sauna and indoor pool (1m deep though?!) is the hotel’s best feature. There is no beach access though, so I went to Nea Hora and Golden beach. Rooms - too small, lack of storage space, complex buttons and unnecessarily complicated console. It was quiet even though I was given a 2nd floor room. The overall signage in the hotel is confusing too. Beds and pillows - huge and comfy. Food - excellent. Massage decent. Toiletries good. Only frontal views are of the sea, but cost 10x more! Otherwise - trash can views!😤 A la carte breakfast - too slow, you eat less, always a misunderstanding… and after you order they take away the menu… Rooftop pool - a scam! Sunbeds always occcupied and need to be booked to see the sunset 🙄 there is another rooftop on 7th floor but after 10min you want to leave, because there are no showers, a pool, toilet or a bar… Staff is young, fakely polite, too slow and not very responsive - obviously trained for certain types of guests (culturally unexperienced). So even to get a locker in the spa you had to wait to be explained how to unlock it (and pass a test?!), even though there are two people at the reception desk. My coffee capsules, sweetener, and teas were not replaced the following morning during the housekeeping visit and a used glass was not washed. The balcony pool is tiny and got a lot of fluff from the street, plus I didn’t feel comfortable using it with it being visible from the street and building right across the street. I was also called at 21:30 (I was asleep?!) to check whether I was satisfied with a complimentary 30min massage (due to the poor room view)… 🤷🏼♀️ I understand that it is a new hotel and they are trying their best but I also paid 800+€ for two nights and was frustrated during 50% of my stay… 😒 I attended a high school for tourism and hospitality, worked as a masseuse, also and worked in 5-* hotels Chania 30 years ago, but stayed in a multitude of 4-5 star hotels worldwide since. Especially in Asia where the service is top notch. Therefore, all of this is not acceptable for such a high price. Yes, the welcome drink is nice, and so is the complimentary massage, but you should do better, Hilton!

Excellent hotel in a great location with flawless and very polite service from the reception. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The only downsides were that I had a lot of trouble with breakfast room service because they weren't answering the phones, and the smart features on the TV didn't work, only the classic channels. Otherwise, it's an exceptional hotel.

The Cretan cuisine was outstanding, and the service was attentive and professional. There’s something for every palate, and I never had a meal that wasn’t top-notch. The resort’s amenities are equally impressive, with a spa that provides indulgent treatments, a well-equipped fitness center, and multiple pools perfect for lounging. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing retreat or a base to explore Crete, The Royal Senses delivers on every front. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the island, with easy access to nearby beaches, charming villages, and historical sites. The staff also went above and beyond to offer recommendations and assist with arranging excursions. Overall, The Royal Senses Hotel is a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic Cretan hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay in Crete. Apartment Stella Paradise by Checkin is very conveniently located in Hersonissos - the main city beach is just 5 minutes walk around a corner, 10 minutes of pleasant walk to the city promenade with restaurants and bars, and no more than 20 minutes walk along the coastal line of hotels, restaurants and small pebble beaches to the best nearest sandy beach of Sarandari. The apartments themselves are quite budget style, but at the same time is very comfortable accommodation option for travelers who appreciate the optimal combination of price and quality. Our room consisted of a small bedroom, and a living room with a sofa bed and a small kitchen equipped with a stove, fridge and kettle. For those who prefer to cook while traveling, there is a necessary minimum of cooking equipment, but we have ordered breakfasts, which were covered by Stella herself the owner of the apartments. I would like to say a special thank to Stella for all her help during our stay - she recommended wonderful restaurants and beaches, ordered taxi and table in the restaurant, and solved all the minor issues we had, this made travel planning very easy and made our stay very comfortable. Despite the fact that this is not a hotel but a complex of apartments, the room was cleaning every day. And a big advantage was the presence of a terrace where it was convenient to dry bathing suits after the beach, and drink a glass of wine in the evening. I will definitely stay here if I come to Hersonissos again.

It exceeded my expectations! After getting off the bus from the airport to the city center, the hotel was just a few minutes' walk away. Everything was within walking distance, and the bus stop for Knossos Palace was nearby, making it incredibly convenient. The staff were kind and even upgraded my room, allowing me to comfortably enjoy a clean and spacious room. The hotel had a great atmosphere, making for a relaxing stay. Daily cleaning was impeccable, and there was complimentary bottled water in the refrigerator and a tea set provided. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it included Cretan specialties and was of excellent quality. I was very satisfied. I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Heraklion.

Nice location and clean

Our stay at Selected Suite was simply perfect! The location is amazing, and the room itself is unbelievable, everything brand new, with stunning design and incredible comfort. The space is large, with a beautiful terrace, a huge shower, and modern detail, the steam room was a big bonus after a long day.  Honestly, the decoration is so impressive I could happily live here. Everything was spotless every single day, it’s honestly one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. I felt so comfortable that I never wanted to leave. The team even prepared a wonderful birthday surprise for my partner, which made our stay extra special. Parking was very easy, the reception is available at all times and always helpful, and the cleaning ladies are just fantastic, smiling, kind, and doing an excellent job. A very special thank you to Ayu, who was absolutely adorable and made our stay unforgettable with her kindness and warmth. I recommend this place 100%! I cannot wait to come back. Honestly, I couldn’t find a single thing to improve everything was truly perfect.

Had a fantastic stay. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place to rest. I chose this hotel because it’s perfectly located between Heraklion city center and the airport. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the airport, ideal for a late-night or early-morning flight, and it’s right next to two bus stops with direct connections to the center. I booked this hotel last minute and had great communication with the staff beforehand about the possibility of a double bed. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade and it turned out to be one of the best rooms I stayed in during my three-month trip! The room was split over two levels, with the bed upstairs and a clean bathroom, workspace, sofa, and even a small terrace downstairs where you can relax. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The service was also wonderful: the woman at reception was really kind, and even when I checked out in the middle of the night, the staff member on duty was friendly and welcoming too. Thank you!

Today, I have landed back home after spending amazing week at this family-run hotel. I can definitely tell you that it was one of the best holidays I have ever had, filled with nice people and great Greek weather. The hotel is located very conveniently, you have a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Lidl is just 5-7 min walk. Next to the hotel there was a great coffee shop- Move on. Next to the hotel there is a bus stop which will take you to Chania city centre for a nice promenade and a delicious dinner. Hotel itself is of an apartment style with amazing pool which was always well-maintained and clean. Every day the girls made sure that our room is clean and we have new towels, and they were making quite impressive compositions from flowers and towels😁 The manager of the hotel was extremely friendly and always dealt efficiently with any requests we had. Breakfast was delicious and overall our stay was extremely enjoyable. Definitely visit this hotel to feel the amazing Greek hospitality.

I have to say my experience at Acro Suites fell below my expectations. The overall experience, apart from the hotel itself, was nowhere near what I would consider a true 5-star experience. It is a beautiful property and definitely a perfect spot for an Instagram post, but beyond the aesthetics, the actual experience was lacking. The F&B offering was below average, and the room service/housekeeping standards were disappointing. The room cleaning was not carried out properly — empty glasses and wine bottles from the first day were still left in our room until the day we checked out. My partner also had a fall at the resort due to poor lighting at night. What was most disappointing was that no duty manager followed up or checked in with us afterwards to see how his recovery was going. For a 5-star resort, I expected a much higher level of attention to detail, service, and genuine care for guests. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the standards expected from a luxury property.
