I loved the place, looks clean. I didn’t eat there was in a rush to drive back but it was great.

Guest UserThe room key card was very unique. The Alice breakfast was a delightful surprise, and the lobby on the first floor had a nice ambiance. There's a museum right across from the hotel, and a bus stop next to it with service to Bicester Village, and apparently even to Blenheim Palace. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the train station.

Guest UserGreat for self-driving, it's right off the highway. Parking is easy with a QR code, and I've attached a picture of the overnight parking fee. If you're staying longer than 24 hours, just tell the front desk and they can waive the extra charges on their system. There's a gas station and fast food like KFC nearby. It's also convenient to get to the city center by taking the 300 bus. Both the breakfast and dinner provided were excellent.

The hotel is a ten-minute walk from Blenheim Palace, which is very convenient. If you are in Oxford the night before, you can stay here and go directly to Churchill Manor the next morning.
The house is an old house, but it is quite clean. Better than expected.
The only thing that is not satisfactory is the receptionist on the evening of October 5th. Her coldness makes people think that they are in Germany instead of Britain, but as a front desk receptionist, she does not even have the most basic polite greetings (such as hello, welcome) and her attitude is not like a German at all. I have never encountered such service quality in the UK, which is very unprofessional, so I choose 2 points (unsatisfied) for the service. If you don't want to spend money to see a big cold face, you can choose other hotels nearby.

This was the first hotel we stayed at on our right-hand drive trip. We picked it mainly for the huge car park and the relaxing golf course views, which definitely made things a bit less stressful. I booked the most basic room type, and that's exactly what we got – nothing fancy, no extra frills, certainly didn't feel like the 'Western hospitality' I might have expected.

Tao610The hotel is about five kilometers from Oxford city center, a convenient 10-12 minute taxi ride away. The hotel's front desk manager and several staff members are British and provide good service. There's also a Chinese lady, likely to facilitate communication with Chinese guests.
Overall, the facilities are quite good and relatively new. I have two issues though: 1. There's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself; 2. The gym opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 9:30 PM, but they stop allowing entry at 9 PM.
The English breakfast is decent and quite authentic. However, the service is generally poor. During my stay, one morning I witnessed a female front desk receptionist arguing with an elderly British man, who seemed extremely upset. This level of service is unacceptable.
One evening, I had cod at Leo's restaurant, and it was the worst I've ever tasted. When it was served, it had a slight odor, similar to stinky mandarin fish. It was bland and incredibly dry when I ate it. It smelled bad and tasted like nothing. After two bites, I left it, only eating the sides and fries. The fries were also the worst I've ever had, no exaggeration!
Overall, I'd likely stay at this hotel again in the future, but I definitely won't be having dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Guest UserWe have stayed here twice. The first time (2025) we were in the block which is separate to the main building- this was OK and the service was much better.
The latest time we stayed we were in the main building- its grotty. The carpet leading to the rooms was stained and the room itself although it looked clean, didn't 'feel clean'-the place could do with a refresh and new carpets.
We were unable to get food upon arrival as they stop serving at 9pm- we arrived a couloe of minutes before 9pm after a 4 hour drive, we were disappointe and we could see a couple eating in the bar area whose meals came out long after we had arrived- so really we could have ordered and been served. We ended up ordering an Uber eats meal.

Guest UserAround 30 minutes by car away from Oxford city area via motorway. Offered free parking in front of the hotel. Suitable for who is traveling by cars.
Add on 10 pounds for the breakfast. Variety is limited yet good enough to start a day with it.
Room itself is wide and clean, just Marriott standards so need need to worry.

134TinaThis branded hotel offers great value for money and a very convenient location. It's just a 7-minute walk from the train station, and all major attractions are within a 15-minute walk. Plus, there's a mall with plenty of dining and shopping options just 5 minutes away, including a fantastic Hangzhou-style restaurant.

We have visited Sunbury Hotel a few times now , this time we were disturbed by person or persons at 02.47am and also experienced a lot of noise transmitted from above, both of which were a first for us and certainly surprised us. The cleaning service over the three nights amounted to pulling up the bed covers which is a definite lowering of previous standards. The complimentary bottles of water and snack biscuits were not refreshed at all, and the room itself now has two large areas of damp showing in the corners which should have been attended to and at least kept clean.
The hotel was busy during the weekend but the Tuesday am breakfast was attended service rather than the buffet which was great as the food was freshly prepared and served to us. A warning if you have a pet it's £20 per night now and segregation in the bar area for breakfast which is fine except for the walk through with your serving from the restaurant area before it gets cold.
The grounds are superb and the outside patio are excellent, plenty of car parking. It would be interesting to see if management comment.
