"The room was very tidy and nice. They had all the amenities, including soap, body wash, shampoo, tea, and instant coffee. They even had coffee pots. Towels were changed everyday too. There is no hair dryer, but they gave me enough towel to dry my long hair thoroughly though. The room I stayed was an attic room, with slanted ceiling, but I loved it because I could see the sky. There were blinders too, so the sun in the morning was not a worry for me. The room looks very much like a dorm, so there was a table that I can work on, with closet that I can hang my suits on too. It wasn't the cleanest, it had some spider webs in the corner of the room, but they were really in the corner and I was staying only to sleep, so it didn't bother me as much. I would definitely recommend the place for business travelers looking for a cheap accommodation in the middle of Cambridge University."

"Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference.
The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over.
Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities.
Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city."

"The hotel is a bit far from the main Cambridge University area, requiring a bus ride, but it's still very convenient as most Cambridge attractions don't have parking, so taking the bus is the usual way to get around. The front desk staff were also very friendly and patient in answering questions. While early check-in wasn't possible, they did offer luggage storage. My only minor complaint is that there was no phone signal in the hotel, so I relied entirely on Wi-Fi – though mobile network coverage across the UK isn't great in general."

"I stayed there for several days in a row. I only had one room card, which I accidentally left in the room. For this reason, the front desk lady remembered me and gave me two cards. Peterborough is a nice city, small but complete, with a large cathedral and a sense of historical architecture."

"The facilities are great, the bedding is comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The microwave/oven combo is very convenient – you can Google how to use it if you're unsure. The washer/dryer combo works wonderfully. There's also a dishwasher, which I didn't use. Basic cookware, dishes, and a kettle are provided, though I didn't use the toaster. Housekeeping is once every 7 days, and you can leave your trash bags by the door for staff to collect. Since all units have kitchens, the fire alarm went off once, but just stay calm. Trip.com's service and response time were very fast."

The room was very clean and tidy, and the staff at breakfast were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included in the price, which made the stay even better value.
There is a huge open field and a very clean river right next to the hotel. You can see people practising rowing, and walking along both sides of the river is really relaxing. There are also mallards and swans nearby, and you can buy special swan food from the hotel bar to feed them.
I originally chose this place because the town is close to Cambridge and the price was reasonable, but I ended up really enjoying the town itself. With such a beautiful location, good service, and affordable price, this hotel is definitely great value for money.

NaliyouxiaoyuThis hotel is located by the river, just a short walk, less than ten minutes, from Cambridge University and the shopping center. The river view rooms offer beautiful scenery, including a small park across the way. The room was clean with a lovely British style, and the bed was very comfortable. A tip for staying in UK hotels: it's best to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as rooms typically don't provide them. Since I brought my own, I didn't need to ask the front desk if they had any.

This was the largest room I stayed in during my UK trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity College and King's College in Cambridge city center. The area around is very quiet, and there's a supermarket about 100 meters away, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. There are also fast-food burger places nearby. Transportation is very convenient; you can take bus route 1 from Cambridge train station and it drops you right at the hotel entrance. When I first checked in, I found the cleanliness a bit lacking, especially the long sofa. However, after exploring the Cambridge University area, I realized that the entire Cambridge seems to have this damp, slightly old-fashioned feel. The shower was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also super spacious.

This is a very old hotel, the hotel is a bit old, but the room is large, the hotel is good, the only drawback is that there is no elevator on the second floor, but the overall stay experience is still good, the best choice for family travel, facilities are also very good!

Alison’s Silk Road TravelsThis was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back. NicS74Stayed 3 nights so that we could visit family and friends in the area. Booked a twin room which had adequate space for 2 of us and separate area with small table and chairs if needed. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm (once I was shown how to activate the heating) Unfortunately the bathroom was very cold as the hotel boiler needed repair so the radiator wasn’t working. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is quite dated and in need of an upgrade which is on the planning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I realised I’d left my own personal pillow on the bed. They tracked it down and a friend collected for me the next day. Definitely stay agin when next in the area.

While the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property.
They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be a simple manner of taking one picture down to stop disappointment. They keep it up to attract visitors unfortunately.
The water in the room for shower and bath simply did not go hot, but rather a low lukewarm. Breakfast also cost £15 which we opted not to do due to competition prices being so much lower for the same thing.
Ultimately, it was a disappointing stay mainly due to their misinformation than the room itself.
