"The hotel is easier to locate than I thought, google maps said few min walk from the metro station but it is actually right outside the metro on your left. Also, lidl is on the left of the hotel and mercadona is on the right and there are lots of cafe and resto around. We only stayed for a night because we have an early flight and it is a short walking distance to the airport - again google maps said 30min walk but it was only about 15mins. View from our window - the rosas station! Staff is nice and check in and out is very easy and quick - we arrived after a lot of people (students) so it was chaotic at first but the staff worked on it and we were able to be accommodated right after."

"We had reserved a room without a balcony. Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade to a room with a balcony for 25 euros a day. We initially declined, but changed our minds after seeing the room we were given in the annex building. I must say, the only difference was definitely not just the balcony 😊. The rooftop pool, while a great concept, is very shallow. Moreover, when you ask for a towel there, you're told you have to go down 7 floors to reception to get one. If you want something to drink, you have to pay for it on the spot. If you ask to charge it to your room, you're told you have to go down 7 floors to reception again to process it for room connection. I couldn't understand why the hotel's name includes the word 'Beach,' as you have to walk for 18 minutes in 35-40 degree heat to reach the nearest beach. There were no slippers in the rooms. 👍 The parking facilities are excellent. 👍 The rooms in the main building are new and comfortable. 👍 If you have a car, the hotel's location offers easy access to everything in the area. 👍 Cleanliness is very good."

"This is my fifth time at this hotel, and every single time there's someone making noise, or the alarm goes off, or the bed creaks terribly. Guests really need to be reminded not to make so much noise. They're not at home; they're in a hotel, and there are other people who want to sleep and relax because they're on vacation."

"The staff were all very nice. The hotel is a good location. The room was a decent size and came with a bath and television. I know that this is a very British complaint, but the lack of a kettle was annoying; your only option was a small coffee from reception. The bath and sink take a very long time to drain. The breakfast in the restaurant is nice and fairly cheap, but it is not open the rest of the day. There is a fridge in the room; I would suggest storing a few things there, as not many places are open on a Sunday evening in this area. My last tip is that some things are located in strange parts of the room. I thought that there was no bin for most of my stay, but the bin was actually hiding underneath shelves in the bathroom."

"I want to highlight the kindness of Constan, who made excellent coffee – a stark contrast to the other waiters. When I asked one of them to make my coffee a specific way, they responded, 'What difference does it make?' So, Constan makes fantastic coffee, and the others just don't know how to. The receptionist was also very friendly and let us store our luggage since we arrived before check-in time. Lourdes, the cleaning lady, was also absolutely delightful and deserves a special mention."

"Very pleased with this hotel. Location is just magical, close to the old city, and at the same time the first line of the beach. Rooms are big, there is everything necessary. Bed kingsize in fact as if 2 single beds (not a single canvas). Water pressure super, chic shower. Breakfasts are incredible, I don't know who writes negative reviews, it's outrageous. A huge choice of food, including Spanish specialties like hamon, tortilla, churros, pan kon tomato. Feed sparkling (very delicious!). In general, we liked it so much that we were extended for a day. With free parking there are difficulties, once lucky stood right at the hotel, other times found a place in 10 min walking (a huge parking)."

The hotel is very nice. The location is a bit secluded, but still easily accessible. Being on a side street, it's definitely super quiet. The staff is friendly. Breakfast was great, a wide selection of everything. They also cater to allergies. The coffee, unfortunately, was from a machine and not very good. Our room (Deluxe) was large and good, but unfortunately located in the corner of the building. The view from the bed was directly into the neighboring room. Also, free water in the room would have been a nice touch. The gym was unfortunately very disappointing. For a hotel of this category and size, one would expect better quality and a wider selection of equipment. The pool area is very beautiful with its landscaping, a small paradise. In our opinion, they should clean up more often; empty glasses are standing and lying around everywhere. Despite everything, it's a very nice hotel. WE WOULD BOOK IT AGAIN.

I had a comfortable stay at the Ibis hotel before my flight home. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the necessities needed. The location is peaceful and ideal for getting to the airport for an early flight via the shuttle bus. The staff were friendly, but the only small drawback was that the dinner menu at the hotel was very limited to a few options.

My stay at Meliá Alicante was unfortunately very disappointing, despite the hotel’s excellent location. The setting is truly beautiful, right by the sea, and that is probably the only highlight of my experience. From the moment I arrived, the customer service fell far below expectations. I reached the hotel around 12:00 PM and was told I would be given a room with a living room and lounge area, but strangely, I was informed that I would not have the right to use that space. As a frequent traveler, I found this very unusual and confusing. I was then told that check-in would be at 4:00 PM and that I would receive a call once my room was ready. However, no one contacted me. Around 4:00 PM, I went to the reception myself and was given a different room instead. The situation became even more concerning when I reached the room and found the door already open. This was shocking and immediately made me feel unsafe. To make matters worse, the bathrobe provided was dirty. When I reported the issue to reception, it seemed they were already aware that the door was faulty, which is completely unacceptable from a safety perspective. I would like to highlight that Trip.com handled the situation professionally when I contacted them, and they intervened promptly. Their support was far more reassuring than anything provided by the hotel staff. What disappointed me the most was the complete lack of apology or accountability from the hotel. Even during check-out, there was no acknowledgment of the issues I had faced. Overall, I deeply regret choosing this hotel. What should have been a relaxing stay turned into an uncomfortable and unsafe experience. I would not recommend this hotel based on the level of service and attention to guest safety.

I rarely write reviews of holiday accommodations, but this time I simply couldn't resist sharing my experience. My wife and I traveled to Peñíscola to experience a total solar eclipse, perhaps the only one we will ever witness in our lifetime. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to what we thought would be an ideal observation point: the walls of the Templar castle in Peñíscola. However, the local authorities closed the site to visitors in anticipation of the influx of eclipse enthusiasts, and suddenly I found myself facing a serious problem: the eclipse would take place behind the mountains, below the horizon. And this is where the Owner of the wonderfully charming Hostal Dios Está Bien stepped in. I asked her for help, hoping for some useful local advice. What did I receive instead? An invitation to join her family in watching this extraordinary celestial event while sharing their family dinner! What began as a perfectly normal, albeit exceptionally warm, interaction with the hotel's staff evolved into something truly special. There was a bottle of surprisingly good wine waiting for us upon arrival, friendly conversations every time we met, and, in the end, family stories and photographs shared around the table. Never before have we experienced such openness and kindness, and I truly feel that we have gained new friends. Thank you. We sincerely hope that one day we will have the opportunity to return your extraordinary hospitality. And all of this took place in a small, charming, beautifully maintained hotel, housed in a historic building in the heart of Peñíscola, where delicious homemade breakfasts are served every morning. I wish everyone could have an experience like this.

Travelodge Alicante Puerto – Budget-Friendly and Practical for a Short Stay I stayed at Travelodge Alicante Puerto for one night and found it to be a solid, no-frills option that does exactly what it says on the tin. The main thing to be aware of is location. The hotel is around a 20-minute walk from Alicante Old Town, so it’s slightly out of the way compared to hotels right in the historic centre. However, this distance is clearly reflected in the price, which is noticeably lower than many Old Town hotels. If you don’t mind a bit of walking or are happy to use local buses or taxis, this isn’t really an issue and can actually be quite convenient if you prefer a quieter area. The hotel itself felt modern, clean and functional. Check-in was straightforward, and the reception staff were friendly and efficient. My room was simple but comfortable, with a good bed, a decent bathroom and plenty of space for luggage. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was perfectly adequate for a short overnight stay, especially if you’re just passing through Alicante. I didn’t take breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the food offering, but there are local cafés and convenience stores nearby if you prefer to eat out. The area around the hotel also feels safe and easy to navigate, which is important if you’re arriving or leaving at unusual hours. Overall, I would recommend Travelodge Alicante Puerto if you’re looking for affordable, reliable accommodation in Alicante and don’t mind being a little outside the main tourist zone. It’s particularly good for one-night stays, early flights, or budget-conscious travellers who want comfort without paying Old Town prices.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel itself is nice, the location is very convenient, and the staff did make an effort to help when I raised issues. The check-in experience was disappointing. I arrived around 11:00 and was told that even if the room was already ready, I would still have to pay extra for early check-in. Later, when I returned at the regular check-in time, I still had to wait around an hour because I had requested a room on a higher floor. The first room I was given faced a constant source of noise, so I asked to change rooms. The replacement room was smaller, but much nicer overall. My biggest issue was the sound insulation. The hotel advertises soundproof windows, but that was not my experience at all. I could hear a lot of outside noise, and the sound insulation between rooms was also poor. I could clearly hear the guests in the adjoining room talking loudly and making repeated banging noises. The hotel did try to help when I contacted them, including speaking with the neighboring guests and offering another room, which I appreciated. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. Towels were not replaced, and there were visible marks on the floor. The hairdryer was also extremely outdated and impractical to use. Overall, I liked the hotel itself and especially the location, and I appreciate that the staff tried to help. But the check-in experience, housekeeping, outdated room amenities, and especially the poor sound insulation affected the stay quite a lot.

The only negative aspect was the elevators. It was almost impossible to get from the second floor to the breakfast area with a stroller because there were only two elevators, and since the hotel had around 10–15 floors, they were always full when going down. Therefore, we had to carry the stroller down the stairs to reach the breakfast area. Apart from that, all the facilities were great. We would like to thank all the staff for their excellent service.
