The friendly guidance and help of the hotel reception staff were impressive.
The only inconvenience was that the room was a little small. Breakfast was great too.
Great location and great seaview. We had a room on 4/F with a small balcony and I sat there to enjoy the view for hours. We parked our rental car right in front of the hotel which cost EUR 11 for a night. Highly recommend this hotel.

Satisfaction exceeded expectations! The rooms are spacious, clean and well-equipped, and the service is very good. Pick-up and drop-off from the pier and bus station are provided. After placing the order, the landlord immediately sent an email to tell me in great detail what ways can be reached from different places, which provided a great help! This property is about 3 minutes' walk from the most famous Golden Horn beach, the location is too good! There is a restaurant below, in addition to breakfast, dinner is also eaten here, the taste is very good! I personally feel that Pol on Brač Island is much better than Hvar. It is a leisure place that Croatians like very much. They think Hvar is too noisy and crowded, which is the truth, so I would recommend Brač Island, especially this accommodation !
Big hotel consisting of several buildings. We were in room 602, this room was recently renovated and beautifully decorated. Badkaner has a rain shower. Spacious balcony with a seat, a large tree is before the balcony so you had unfortunately interrupted sea and swimming pool view. The hotel has 2 swimming pools with beds and sunshines. We were there in May and there were enough beds. The hotel is located a walk from the beach and 10 minutes walk to the famous Zlatni Rat strsnd. If you walk the other side, you walk through a walk to Bol.
You stay on the basis of voloension plus, this means that drinking is included during dinner.
The restaurant is spacious with a large covered terrace. There is something for everyone wants to eat. Everyone heated the food a little warmer, much was lazy.
We stayed here in May, 3 machers, and this hotel is too mass for us in the high season.
But it's a ashes.
I stayed at this hotel for a week, and overall I would say the experience did not match what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. The hotel is located next to a roundabout, so there is constant traffic noise throughout the day and night.
The room itself felt quite basic and lacked warmth or interior design charm. There was no couch or comfortable sitting area, and the TV was both small and positioned very far from the bed, which made it less enjoyable to use.
Breakfast options were also limited, with very little variety from day to day. The kitchen mainly offered egg-based dishes, and I expected a wider selection for a hotel of this category.
I also tried the food served in the lobby area, but the quality was disappointing and tasted more like premade food rather than freshly prepared meals.
The stay was acceptable overall, but there are several areas where the hotel could improve to better reflect a true 5-star experience.
Tiny House - Nice and quaint, nice bed, bathroom and has chiller and patio. However, there was only 2 face towels and 1 bath towel for 2 of us. When we asked for 1 more bath towel, was informed that there was not enough!
Has a small pool for Tiny House’s guests. Other areas have their own pools.
Walking distance to a beautiful beach.
Theres laundry room on site but need to buy your own detergent.
Located in a pine wood area. To the beach maybe 100m, depends on your room location, to the „Golden“ 10 min walking, to old town 15min.
Hotel is renovated but because of its size and the colors (a lot in white) it is not “charming”.
I enjoyed the pool, had no time to book a Spa treatment. The room was small, kind of faded glory, but with balcony and new bathroom. Breakfast is of good quality but always same choice and the interior has the charm of a factory.
GGuest UserNice hotel but only if you can get it around 250 euro per night - any more and it’s probably expensive for what it is but hey it’s Hvar and nothing is cheap
The rooms are nice and AC works well
The Breakfast is very good and Marko and his team really go above and beyond
The location is excellent right on a little beach which is free but chairs need to be rented and a 10 min walk along the boardwalk to old town
Now the bad
The reception don’t really seem to care about the guest and are actually pretty rude
Second day HK didn’t come when we asked reception we were told did we ask for HK ? Which was strange thing to say really when the day before we had it
It then took hours to get the room cleaned and follow up visits for towels and soap
On the last day we left our bags and arranged the free ferry pick up and drop bag service (which you don’t know about until you arrive) we asked what time would the bags leave so we can change first the said 3.30pm when we got back at 3 the bags were gone and they said sorry we were busy so we had to walk to the ferry in our swimwear as we planed to change
It’s only a small matter but shows how they really don’t care and say what they like
MMarino FraninovicWe recently had an incredible stay at Hvar Places Hotel by Valamar in Stari Grad, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience for the whole family! My kids were absolutely delighted with everything the hotel had to offer – from the beautiful surroundings to the well-organized activities. The entire atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, perfect for a family getaway.
A special thank you goes to Mr. Ivan Polak, who truly went above and beyond in making our stay seamless and enjoyable. We arrived with a private boat, and his assistance made the entire process smooth and stress-free. His exceptional hospitality really set the tone for a memorable vacation.
We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here!
ZZambranoGreat location, good equipments, very nice view from the restaurant and pool, good service, good breakfast, staff is nice. The hotel is a bit overpriced for the size, comfort and view of the room. Drinks and meals are also expensive. Prices are unreasonably high all around the city actually.
KKenneth Broberg FuglWe had a lovely stay at Hotel Kaštelet, the hotel straff is very friendly and service minded. Our frontdesk manager Hava was very helpful with all things we needed. She had the things in room fixed and we recommend this hotel for couples. The breakfast a la carte is amazing. Only think is that when ordering breakfast some things was not as ordered. And the last day the breakfast takeaway was just fruit, no drinks, baguette comparing to the a a la carte menu😁
GGuest UserWe both had a really lovely time here. The food (despite other reviews) was perfectly good for a short stay. I could see how with two weeks it might get a bit repetitive. The drinks poured were VERY strong but there were quite a few common drinks (e.g. espresso martini, margarita) that weren't included and would have to be paid. This along with paid for ice cream and paid for beach loungers for have us the impression that the hotel was penny pinching.
Cannot fault the staff in anyway, everyone we spoke to was lovely and very attentive.

AAnonymous UserHonestly, the breakfast is terrible. There is no any option just the eggs and cheese and I don’t eat that because I’m diabetic type one I requested at least smoked salmon and some Roca salads or some other options healthy options on the day. It was really not delicious at all other than that everything else is good. The gym is really smalland the room surface is not really easy to reach. I ordered yesterday at dinner salad. The price is €18 then they charge me €10 to bring it to my room which is crazy.
GGuest UserLast visited 94- it’s been done up since then. A bit out in the sticks. Get uber from trogir about 6 e, cab from rank about 25!!! 1 hour walk- flat. Rooms on small side. Showers really good. Views lovely from upper floor rooms- I was on 6th. No gym. Pizza joint onsite closed. Nearest beach bar closed. Perhaps a seasonal thing. Staff- professional- first class. Breakfast ok- loads of choice- hot stuff was a bit cold though and hunt for cutlery.. cater for AI guests.
GGuest UserThis is a good hotel. Although it is rated as a three-star hotel, it is good enough for a four-star hotel. It has a nice public lounge balcony and is a good place to eat and drink. It's not far from the city on foot, so you'll need to take a detour by car.
GGuest UserWonderful experience in Hvar and @ the Moeesy, B&G. Hotel is beautiful. Staff are amazing. Friendly, attentive, responsive. Location (IMO) is perfect. Outside of town ( so quiet and relaxing) but easily walkable multiple times a day for lunch/dinner or other activities. A real treat to stay here while on Hvar. And do yourself a favor and go to Stari Grad…
