"All the front desk personnel are the best asset this hotel has. The place could do with an update of their appliances and furniture in their rooms. Soft furnishings are ok. The cleanliness could be a bit better. They lent me slippers so I could use the steam room and it was a great addition to my stay. Overall I give the place a 3/5."

"What a lovely hotel!! We arrived late but the owner greeted us and suggested places to eat as they didn’t do dinner.
The room was very clean with two single beds which were so very comfortable!! The room was en-suite and had a lovely view of the golf course and the sea.
We had drinks in the hotel bar Which was very warm and friendly. The owner was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area
Breakfast was Full Scottish and was delicious and plentiful.
I would gladly recommend this hotel to others. The owners are warm, friendly and helpful, and the room very comfortable. "

"Very good stay , the bedroom was a good size and comfortable. The hotel was in a superb spot with great views over the bay.
The food in the restaurant was good quality but I thought rather expensive. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant service was very good with attentive staff. The place could use some modernisation but this did not detract from overall enjoyment."

"This was our third stay at Stonefield castle. It is a beautiful building with a nice bit of history. The grounds are extensive with scenic views and wonderful walks. The staff at the hotel were courteous and friendly. There were many lounge rooms and a well stocked bar. It is a handy place for a short stay near Tarbert if you are touring the Loch Fyne area. We shall return."

SSarah100We had a low price deal and stayed in a twin room which was spacious . Good tea/coffee and TV ( although signal kept dropping) comfortable beds. Bathroom was cold and fan would have ran all night, had I not switched it off . Good parking outside with £10 charge.
Perhaps typical of an older seaside hotel.
Many parts of it need updating. Our room had not been painted for some time and needed sprucing up.

JJIANYUNA little bit from the train station, so it is quieter. Looking at the sea, sitting in the hotel to see the sea, blue sky and white clouds, very beautiful. The breakfast was good, and the smoked salmon was more delicious than the traditional English breakfast at other hotels. After breakfast, I walked by the beach and saw the rainbow. I walked all the way and saw the rainbow changing. It was a surprise. Going to Scotland, recommending to Auburn, to Auburn, recommend this hotel.

PPHYO PHYO WAI YANG YINGWe booked 2 rooms 1 night last minute booking. I got Junior suite for me & my husband. Room is very spacious for UK standard, sea view is very beautiful Seaview. The hotel has lift thats very good for travelers with many luggages.The room is a little cold so we switched on spare small heater which is warm enough. Their specialist amenities are very good. Whisky Honey. Oh.our room door isn't working, that's pretty scary.

GGuest UserPerfect location close to rail station.Lots of positive points, however hotel was dated in parts, room carpet flooring was unstable so had to exercise caution not to trip and cause injury. Reception staff member Jamie pleasant and most helpful, so was Nicola over the phone the night before check-in. Food could be improved, with a better variety at breakfast, and providing fresh fruit.
Room allocated was not what I expected. Would stay again if better room allocated.

AAbbiesquirrelWeird smell in the shower room, but it seemed to disappear after a few hours. The bar was great. Didn't eat the food but the menu looked good. Staff were comforting. The room decor was lovely. The most storage I've seen from a hotel room. It's a bus ride from the town centre and the train station, but the buses are infrequent. Inconvenient walk. The scenery was beautiful, I got photos that I posted on my instagram. I couldn't see a vending machine.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Shower was well maintained and had good water pressure.
