When I came to Qingdao for a trip, I chose this hotel. We booked a partial sea view room, and the front desk upgraded us to an executive room during check-in. The butler was also very responsive to all our requests, fulfilling them promptly and even sending a fruit platter. I had read reviews saying the robot delivery service was very slow, but after staying here for two days, I found no issues. Food deliveries arrived within ten minutes of being delivered to the hotel. Finally, they even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Overall, the experience was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Qingdao!

This is an absolute gem among all the hotels I've stayed in over 15 years of traveling across 40 countries.
The design of the rooms, corridors, and common areas is stunning and truly unique. There’s an arcade machine in the room with Nintendo games from my childhood… It feels like the hotel owner's personal signature style - and it's the most amazing highlight of this place!
A special afternoon tea with fantastic cookies is a wonderful service.
Breakfast is usually a buffet, as far as I understand, but on the day of my stay, there was no buffet, and breakfast was served individually for each guest. Still, it was very good and filling.
The location is excellent - right next to the bus station. That means you can check in immediately after arriving from the airport by airport bus, or leave your luggage if you arrive early. Getting anywhere in the city is also easy, quick and cheap by local buses.
The room was very comfortable: quiet and very warm (I stayed during the cold season), exceptionally clean, with a great bathroom, and everything was in perfect condition. The bed was very comfortable with amazingly soft pillows worthy of a high-end hotel - and they even provide several pillows with different levels of softness!
The staff's attitude toward guests is excellent: I'm a light sleeper, and quietness is important to me, but in Asia this is often a problem even in expensive hotels. So when booking, I requested a quiet room on a high floor and away from the elevator - and my wishes were fulfilled perfectly.
And for all of this, the price is simply incredible. This hotel is worth traveling to Yantai just to stay here!
Overall, it's a masterpiece. The only places I've seen that are better are classic five-star hotels, but even they don't have such outstanding interior design and arcade machines. 😊 And if you were born in the 1980s, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel to play the games of your childhood on a real arcade machine right in your room. 😊

**Scenery**: This hotel boasts a prime location on Yantai Development Zone's Golden Coastline. Most rooms offer direct, breathtaking views of the azure sea, making sunrise and sunset particularly spectacular. With endless sandy beaches and the vast ocean-sky stretching before you, you can enjoy the ebb and flow of the tide without leaving your room. The hotel's meticulously designed gardens are perfect for an evening stroll, where the sea breeze gently caresses you. The night views are tranquil and romantic – truly, 'open your window to the sea, and every step is a picturesque scene.'
**Family-Friendly**: This hotel is a fantastic choice for families, truly taking the burden off parents. Rooms come with thoughtful amenities like cribs, and the dining options cater to children's palates. Even better, the hotel is right next to the beach, allowing for easy access to beachcombing and sand play – a natural playground for families. Kids can reach the beach to dig in the sand in just two or three minutes.
The hotel staff, especially Mango, were incredibly friendly. She helped me arrange my room and gave excellent recommendations for nearby attractions, which was very considerate.

I absolutely have to give the Weihai Jinshatan Xuefu Hotel a five-star rating! My stay here far exceeded my expectations, with pleasant surprises from booking all the way to checkout.
The location is simply unbeatable. The hotel is right next to Weihai International Bathing Beach, and it's a mere 3-minute walk to Jinshatan. You truly get 'ocean views from your window, and waves at your doorstep.' It's also conveniently close to Shandong University (Weihai Campus), creating a wonderful cultural atmosphere that perfectly blends seaside romance with academic tranquility.
The room experience was flawless. We stayed in a high-floor sea-view king room, and the unobstructed 180-degree ocean view was breathtaking. We could watch the sunrise from bed in the morning and enjoy stunning ocean sunsets from our room in the evening. The room itself was modern and minimalist, spotlessly clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – I slept soundly all night. The bathroom had a great dry/wet separation, excellent water pressure, and hot water came on instantly.
Service was attentive and thoughtful. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient during check-in. The hotel even provided us with a tide schedule, which was incredibly useful for anyone planning to collect seashells or seafood. Housekeeping was quick to respond, and on a rainy day, they thoughtfully brought us ginger tea, which was a very warm touch.
The value for money is outstanding. The sea-view room cost about half the price of surrounding five-star hotels, and they offer complimentary parking, charging stations, a laundry room, and a dryer. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this is an excellent choice. I've already saved it and will definitely stay here again next time I visit Weihai!

The best decision I made on my trip to Weihai was choosing this hotel right by the sea! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Torch Eight Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to all the famous street views, and you just cross the road to reach the beach and the ocean. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing and exploring.

I originally had high hopes for the Tsingtao Beer Time Coast Resort. The environment is indeed pleasant, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel even offers complimentary beer in the lobby during certain hours, which should have been a bonus.
However, to my great disappointment, all that goodwill was completely ruined by severely negligent management and indifferent service.
I booked a 'Dream Sea View Room,' but the actual room wasn't directly facing the sea; it only offered a 45-degree angled sea view. This was already a significant discrepancy from the advertisement. What's worse, the room was directly above the courtyard.
The real nightmare began at 11 PM.
Guests in the courtyard room below were loudly chatting, laughing, and constantly clapping until 1:30 AM. I called the front desk three times to complain, and the customer service's response was shocking:
They repeatedly stated, 'We've already reminded them, but there's nothing we can do if the guests don't listen,' and even, in turn, asked if *we* wanted to switch rooms.
What kind of logic is that?
Why should the affected guests bear the consequences because of unruly guests? If someone needs to be moved, shouldn't it be the ones making the noise?
We barely slept all night, constantly being woken up by the disturbance. This wasn't just a 'bad experience'; it seriously impacted our fundamental right to rest.
Even more disappointing, the next day, the hotel made no proactive effort whatsoever: no apology, no explanation, no compensation, or even a gesture of concern, as if nothing had happened.
Such great facilities, paired with this kind of management and service attitude, can only be described as terrible and utterly irresponsible.

Coming to Yantai, I saw this newly opened Indigo and decisively chose it. The scenery is beautiful, and the room is very spacious. Zoe from Guest Relations contacted us even before we arrived and had our room ready. During our stay, she would periodically check if we needed water, without being intrusive. The only minor drawback was that the water wasn't very hot when I showered on the last night. The hotel really needs to look into that – it was so cold these past two days, and all I wanted after coming back was a hot shower. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the quality is consistently InterContinental standard, which is quite reliable. Overall, it was a good experience.

I stayed at a hotel right by the sea. Even though the weather was cold and the wind was howling, the sea view was stunning, with the ocean displaying a deep, profound blue. The hotel itself is quite grand; you can feel its impressive scale the moment you walk in. The staff were warm and attentive, always ready to help with anything, which made me feel very welcome. The only minor point is that the hotel is a bit old, but that didn't detract from the overall experience. I'd definitely come back if I have the chance.

I went to Qingdao with my colleagues to meet a client, and only found out upon arrival that they were staying at the Hyatt Regency. So, I made a last-minute booking through Ctrip at the hotel. A big thank you to Andy at the front desk for upgrading my room and helping arrange a room next to the client's, as well as sending up two fruit platters. The next day, I attended a public welfare event press conference for the spotted seals at the Polar Ocean World. I couldn't make it back to the hotel in time for check-out at noon, so I really appreciate Linda at the front desk for assisting with a late check-out.
The hotel's location is excellent, the breakfast is fantastic, and it has its own private beach. It's also very close to the Polar Ocean World.

XXiaowanzidexiaotaoziFirst of all, the service is really good. The uncle outside the door is very enthusiastic to help direct the parking space. The doorman Xiao Gao took the initiative to accompany the luggage to the room. The front desk smiled and had a very good service attitude. Seeing that there were children with children, they helped to apply for an extra breakfast, and took the initiative to send a set of toiletries and slippers 🩴. In the evening, they also sent an extra quilt. Fruits, water, and yogurt were constantly delivered. When I left, they also sent a special one for the road. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. Although there are many guests, the breakfast is updated quickly, and the guests are also sent to wait for meals. In short, although it is an old hotel with some old facilities and some parts are not very easy to use, it wins in service and has a good location. Basically, you can go shopping (Zhenhua, Joy City, Wanda are all nearby) and go to the main street attractions by walking. It takes 10 to 20 minutes to take a taxi for a slightly farther distance. There is a bus at the door 🚌, which is very convenient. Liu Yunxia, Xiao Du, Xiao Zhang, the service is very good👍

Just returned from a stay at Qingdao Yilan Xinsu Hotel—a solid choice near Shilaoren Bathing Beach and the International Convention and Exhibition Center 🤩. With an impressive overall Trip.com rating of 8.8/10, guests rave about its service, cleanliness, and convenience .
The location scores about 8.9/10—it’s roughly a ten-minute walk to the sandy beach and sits just 8.5 km from Qingdao’s downtown core and 14 km from Qingdao North Railway Station. Not ideal if you need a car—there’s no on-site parking (). Amenities and service both come in around 8.6–8.9/10, with friendly staff and smooth check‑in/out process (). Cleanliness is top notch with a clean rating of 9.0/10 .
🌞 What stood out:
• Rooms are spacious and bright, featuring big windows and modern décor in a sleek New‑Chinese style. Everything felt new and well-kept .
• The beds are comfy (2.2 × 2.2 m, pure cotton linens), showers felt luxurious, and the soundproofing was excellent. Also enjoy convenient rapid check‑out service with personal touches .
• The breakfast buffet gets solid praise—tasty and well-rounded start to the day ().
💤 Stay comfort: 9.0/10
• Clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed rooms made for a relaxing and bright stay.
📍 Location: 8.9/10
• Close to beach access and the expo center, plus shopping and transit nearby—but no parking if you’re driving.
🤝 Service: 8.9/10
• Staff are described as friendly and helpful; check-in and check-out are seamless.
🛎️ Amenities: 8.6/10
• Offers the basics—Wi-Fi, in-house restaurant (light meals available), and cozy space—but lacks a gym or pool .
⸻
✅ Quick tips:
• Ask for a seaview or beach‑side room—light is great, and views are peaceful 🌊🌅.
• It’s walkable to the sand and just a short ride from Qingdao International Convention Centre.
• No parking, so if you’re self-driving, plan to park nearby or use public transport 🚉.
• No fitness center or pool, but hey—you’re steps from the beach 🏖.
⸻
Final verdict: With modern rooms, sparkling clean spaces, strong service, and a primo location near Shilaoren Beach and the convention center, Qingdao Yilan Xinsu Hotel scores a solid 9/10. Great pick for business travelers or chill beach escapes alike! 😌✨

AArnont BoosarawongseWe had such a wonderful stay! The location is absolutely perfect—having the May 4th Square Metro station right outside the front door made getting around so easy. It’s also great value for the price. Everyone on the staff was so kind, but a special shoutout goes to the housekeeping team. They were so attentive and even left us a sweet little note in our room, which was such a lovely touch! We’re already looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Qingdao.

8852 Serendipitous LifeOverall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained.
To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language.
The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads.
There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you.
Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute
The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year.
For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.

GGuest UserA truly satisfying stay! I arrived quite early, around 10 AM, and was initially concerned about not being able to check in. However, the friendly lady at the front desk immediately processed my check-in, so I didn't have to wait until the afternoon. She even kindly upgraded my room! The room itself was incredibly spacious and decorated in my favorite style, making it feel just like home. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to all the main tourist attractions. Getting around by subway was super convenient, with the subway entrance only about 20 meters from the hotel. I did a lot of research before booking and ultimately chose the Crowne Plaza Qingdao as it offered the best value for money. They also gave me a significant discount for extending my stay by two nights. I'm genuinely thrilled with my choice, thank you so much!

Specially thanks to staff named Karmrn(i might be wrong sorry), who is from Cantonese. Because of not only her English ability but also her warmth, and kindness, I had stayed and enjoyed Huangdao. The restaurant she recommended was really good to have meals and look around nice view of the ocean. Also thanks for booking for massage. 多謝!!

The castle's exterior was incredibly photogenic, and the sea-view room with a balcony offered a super therapeutic experience watching the sunrise and feeling the sea breeze in the morning.
