"As someone who's been to Hawaii three times, I highly recommend this hotel. First off, the room rates are significantly lower than those in Waikiki, yet the room size and views absolutely blow away similarly priced or even more expensive options in Waikiki. Secondly, parking is cheap; there's metered parking right downstairs at $1 an hour, costing a maximum of about ten dollars a day, which is a steal compared to hotels that charge $40-$50 a day. It's perfect for those who are driving. Lastly, the sushi on the first floor is delicious, and most importantly, affordable."

"The location of the hotel is really close to waikiki beach 10 min walk , grab your coffee on the way and go to the beach , the hotel staffs are amazing, very helpful, supportive, friendly, every single one of them , this is really important as a solo traveller I had so many questions and inquiries and they helped me to solve everything in an instance. They even have weights to weigh my luggage before the flight. The room had a stunning balcony, everything so clean, no smell no mold, everything was working , the AC , the mini fridge, they even gave me a kettle because i said I loved having coffee in the morning. They have tours as well , activities like hula dancing , Lei making, there is an ABC store for your water , fruits , snacks , sunscreen . Very convenient .

"For a very large hotel to have only 3 check-in staff as well as 1 priority, people formed quite long queues - just unacceptable when much smaller hotels have as many staff. Do they think that many guests might have travelled longhaul to get there? Surely Sheraton can afford it? The infinity pool sundeck is awful - sub beds literally jammed up against each other - ugh! Very limited on site food facilities. Bed was comfortable albeit rather too soft. Couldn’t spend much time on balcony given the very loud noise from neighbouring air conditioning fans. I particularly resent the constant handout for tipping for everything. Pay proper wages!! Definitely not returning- in fact already staying in a much nicer hotel near Kuhio Beach."

Considering the price, I was extremely satisfied with everything except the age of the building.
I stayed here for several consecutive nights on a business trip, and the front desk staff were always friendly and welcoming. Although the rooms are a bit dated, they were very clean, and the housekeeping service—including bed-making and towel replacement—was impeccable. My stay was comfortable every single day.
For this price, the location and level of hospitality were outstanding. I was genuinely impressed.
There was complimentary coffee available at the front desk, and although the smoking area was nearby, there was absolutely no smell in the hotel. As a smoker, I really appreciated that.
The room came with four soft pillows, and the shower worked perfectly fine.
There were also plenty of souvenirs available, which made me wonder how they can offer all of this at such a reasonable price.
Now for a little rant.
I accidentally packed a jar of jam that the hotel staff had kindly given me in my carry-on luggage at the airport. A particularly unpleasant security officer confiscated it, saying that gel-like substances were not allowed. All I can do is hope that person didn’t end up helping themselves to it.
The hotel was flawless. My only grievance is with the guy at the airport security checkpoint.
I would absolutely love to stay here again on my next business trip."

"I originally wanted to book a twin sea view room, but only king sea view rooms were available. When I arrived at the hotel, I asked to switch to a twin sea view room, but the front desk said there were no vacancies. So I gave up, but after checking in, they added an extra bed, which was very thoughtful. The hotel's location is excellent; you just cross the road downstairs to get to the beach. There's also an ABC convenience store, a coffee shop, and a Chinese restaurant downstairs. The room doesn't provide bottled water, but they gave us two bottles to fill up, and there's an ice machine where you can get water. Getting around is also very convenient; you can pinpoint the hotel's entrance for Uber pickups, unlike another hotel where you can't."

"Everything was great except for the low floor allocation – being on the 6th floor near Kuhio Avenue, it was a bit noisy. I've stayed at the Marriott and Hyatt near Waikiki in the past two years, but if your main purpose is to go out and explore, this Waikiki Malia is really good value for money. It's more convenient for dining and shopping, plus the parking garage is integrated with the hotel, which is reassuring. The pool is small, but it's perfect for kids who are just learning to swim, almost like a dedicated children's pool. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the service overall was excellent."

"It’s a simple hotel with good service, it served my needs. I was traveling solo and spent most of the days outside. . "Fabulous boutique hotel. Thought of all the little things to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Staff were very polite and friendly. Great shower pressure, bed was comfortable and air con fantastic. We had a room on the 3rd floor and unfortunately we could smell one of the burger restaurants frying food each morning, which was not pleasant. Not the hotels fault, but it’s something to bear in mind if you’re given a lower floor.
Rooftop pool is small but a nice extra if you don’t fancy the beach.

"The environment was nice, and overall I was quite satisfied; the children had a lot of fun. The only downside was that it was easy to slip in the bathtub, even though the water was very slippery. I called the front desk to mention it, but they didn't put anything anti-slip in it. Otherwise, I was very satisfied; it's a great resort hotel."

GGinbuHowwanGreat location, just a few minutes from Waikiki Beach. We booked an ocean view room, which was beautiful, and the view wasn't obstructed by the parking lot. The balcony was lovely, very relaxing to sit there, eat, and enjoy the ocean view.
The best part was that even though I'm not a member, they gave me my room at 12 PM, which was incredibly thoughtful.
The Asian cleaning lady was exceptionally kind and enthusiastic every time she saw us. We didn't leave a big tip, but she still thanked us repeatedly and even offered us coffee.
Beach towels can be picked up and returned by scanning your room card. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the first floor, opening at 6 AM.

I really enjoyed the poolside ice cream because the flavors changed daily! If I needed anything, I could just pop over to Ala Moana Shopping Center, which was fantastic! Having ice and water dispensers on each floor was an added bonus! And it was great to receive two reusable water bottles upon check-in to use during my stay! Thank you!

Later, I communicated with the hotel at night and changed to the 12th floor. It was really scary. I must live on the high floor! !
The area where the hotel is located is located in Lahaina. There is a place to buy and eat in 5 minutes by car. There is ABC. Don't worry about breakfast. There are also pharmacies nearby. In short, it is not bad. ～

MManaSuisseExcept for the location near the airport I wouldn't recommend this hôtel. It's dirty and noisy. And when the breakfast is included in the price of room, you get coupon for the restaurant. The choice of food for breakfast is very small. And it's either coffee (a very very bad one) or water (a very very small bottle). And then you are allowed to eat in the restaurant and you have to take away and eat in your room as there is no other places to eat. This breakfast is a joke :(

GGuest UserThe room's decor and facilities are outdated, and the cleanliness was just so-so. Plus, the more expensive deluxe sea-view rooms are really far from all the amenities; it took us over twenty minutes just to walk to breakfast and back every day. What's more, we had clearly booked a room with a buffet breakfast included, and our names were on the list and checked upon entry, but when we checked out, they insisted we sign a bill for a tip. This place is definitely not worth the price. I'll never choose this hotel again.

II. MarkOutstanding service from the moment we arrived at the front entrance. Friendly, knowledgeable staff were able to answer all of our questions and accommodate all our requests.
Room was nicely appointed and generously sized with ample room in the walk-in closet for our 8 full-sized checked bags (we stopped through HI in the middle of a move 🙂). Had two double beds and a hid-a-bed which was perfect for our family of four. The small refrigerator in the room was just the right size for water bottles and some snack/breakfast food we picked up at the Target just across the street. Appreciated being able to check out fresh beach towels pool-side each day. That saved a lot of suitcase space.
The balcony was just large enough for a small table and two chairs to catch a great view of the ocean.
The hotel is located between prime beachfront on the one side and the International Marketplace on the other, everything you need is within easy walking distance.
The kids enjoyed the beginner surf lessons available beachside through Faith Surf Academy, and being able to rent a board to continue surfing over subsequent days. Waves were perfect for beginners and despite there being a fair number of other visitors, there was plenty of room to swim, play, and enjoy the water, though space on the beach itself was a bit tight at times.
The one shortcoming we experienced was there not being any self-service laundry on-site. It seems there used to be, but it's unavailable with the current renovation project underway, and I'm unsure whether they intend for it to be part of the updated plan or not. Paid laundry service is available, but we opted to walk down the road to a laundromat.
All in all, the whole family enjoyed our time at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and would recommend it.

GGuest UserWe stayed in an ocean view room. It was very close to the sea, and the view from the lanai was absolutely stunning. I think it was one of the ocean view rooms with the best views, being so close to the ocean. I'm very grateful that we were allocated this particular room. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and pleasant, which made our stay enjoyable. The location was also excellent, close to the Duke Kahanamoku statue in the heart of Waikiki. The only downsides were that there was no explanation about the resort points we were supposed to receive as part of our stay. Also, we booked three rooms for six people, but due to their system, we could only process payment for one room at a time. This meant I couldn't use the same credit card for the second room and had to scramble. I'd recommend bringing enough credit cards for each room you book. These two minor issues were a bit disappointing, so I deducted one star from the service rating.
