"As an experienced traveler, I am shocked that this is rated as a 4-star hotel. While the breakfast was good, the housekeeping staff were lovely, and the male bellboy who helped with my luggage provided great service, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. The front desk staff were incredibly indifferent; at check-in, they just handed back my passport without saying a single word of welcome or thank you. Furthermore, the room was in poor condition with broken shelves, a faulty toilet, cold shower water, and the power tripped every single minute, making the overall service and maintenance unacceptable for a hotel of this class."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Galata Tower (a 2-minute walk). The surrounding streets are lively but not noisy. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, helpful, and polite. Their service attitude was comparable to hotels with 4 stars or more. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, who is a handsome, knowledgeable, and experienced individual; it was a pleasure to get to know him. The rooftop restaurant offers beautiful views, and the breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend that all guests try breakfast at least once to enjoy the rooftop scenery, with distant views of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. This hotel even helped me book a Turkish bath and a Bosphorus boat tour free of charge, and assisted me with many other things. I sincerely thank this hotel. I was traveling alone, and I personally believe this hotel is suitable for solo travelers. Highly recommended!"

"I felt as i am at home.. reception staff are so excellent. Mr. Mahmoud and Mr. Mohamed (all the other people too), also the girl (sorry forgot the name) are sooooo cooperative and amazing staff. I just have 2 remarks:
1. There should be a menue for the breakfast to select from as it will be much easier.
2. Hangers in cupboards are so high and there is a shelf under it so it was diffuiclt for my wife to hange cloths especially her long cloths (it wrinkles the cloths)
3. Next time i will go swiming in the swiming pool..
Again, it was very nice and comfortable to stay and difintely will come back and i will be a proud member.

"Traveling with my wife, we booked a special offer room.
First, the pros:
1. We were on the sixth floor, and the room was very clean. The front desk manager was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service.
2. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. To the left, there were ancient Byzantine city walls, and to the right, the city skyline – truly beautiful.
3. Transportation is extremely convenient. There's a T1 tram station just 300 meters away and countless bus stops, offering direct access to various attractions.
4. There's a Carrefour supermarket about 500 meters away, and many traditional Turkish restaurants nearby that are delicious, affordable, and don't rip off tourists.
Now, the cons:
1. It's probably because we booked a special offer room, which meant the room quality wasn't the best. The bathroom drain had a daily unpleasant smell after showers, which was quite annoying.
2. The air conditioner was very old and emitted a musty, sour odor when operating. We had to set it to 16 degrees (the lowest) to reduce the smell to an unnoticeable level.
Summary: I would definitely book this hotel again on my next trip to Istanbul, but I'll make sure to get one of their more expensive suites."

Guest UserWe stayed for one night, but even for such a short stay, it was fantastic. The receptionist was amazing; despite our early arrival at 8 AM, they did everything possible to expedite our check-in, and by 9:30 AM, our rooms were ready. I'm very particular about cleanliness and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were quite clean, cozy, and, importantly, spacious, with clean bathrooms. Everything we needed was in the room. I must also mention the wonderful breakfast 🍳; we were with four teenage children, and everyone found something delicious to eat. Everything was very aesthetically pleasing and neat! I confidently give it a 5 out of 5. The location is great, close to the port, Galata Tower… Thank you for a wonderful day!

1. The breakfast offers a mix of traditional Turkish breakfast and Western options, with a great variety of cheeses and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
2. Although the room is small, it's very tidy and clean. It gets cleaned daily, and the bed sheets are changed every day.
3. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Yedikule Fortress and Marble Tower, and only an 8-minute walk to the sea.
4. The surrounding area is a residential neighborhood with schools, making it very quiet.
5. The hotel's Wi-Fi is super fast and never lags.
Areas for improvement:
1. It would be great if there was an airport shuttle service.

Andreeva NataliaWonderful location. It's tough with luggage going up and down the stairs, so a transfer is definitely needed. The view from the restaurant terrace is stunning, especially in the evening. We booked this hotel specifically for that view. The pool is small, and a swim cap is mandatory; you'll have to buy one if you don't have one. I wasn't a fan of the massage; it was given by a man, and the price was steep. The sauna and hammam were a nice bonus. The pillows and bed were very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a day of walking around. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend!

This hotel was truly in a fantastic location. My wife and I had a quick holiday getaway, and the staff's attitude was wonderful. It's within walking distance to the ferry terminal and the high-speed train station. I would genuinely recommend it to everyone I know, and it's definitely my top choice for all my future Istanbul trips.

The service experience is top-notch; the staff are incredibly friendly and you can easily communicate with them using a translation app. It definitely meets a five-star standard, even exuding a touch of old-money charm, so you can check in with confidence. Its biggest advantage is the location – it's very close to the Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern, both easily reachable on foot. The surrounding commercial area is well-developed, and there's even a Lanzhou Lamian restaurant a few hundred meters away, which is a great option for varying your meals during your trip.

Guest UserMy solo stay at the Olympic Hotel was absolutely perfect! The hygiene was top-notch, and the room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The location is super convenient for getting around, especially to the Old Town attractions. The staff were all very friendly and handled any requests promptly. All the facilities worked smoothly, and it offers great value for money. Definitely worth staying again!

GaryCTAn amazing experience! The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Dolmabahçe Palace. You can walk to the seaside and it's very close to the pier, perfect for evening sightseeing cruises. The service was also excellent and comprehensive. On the hotel's L level, there are Michelin-starred restaurants, including Turkish, Italian, and Japanese options, which is very convenient. The hotel's views are also fantastic, with different room types offering various views, so you can choose according to your preference!

SophiePanhaGreat stay at Aloft Karaköy — the location is unbeatable, right in the heart of everything with easy access to public transportations, cafés, restaurants, and the major attractions.
Service was great — staff were friendly, helpful, and made the stay smooth.
However, the room layout wasn’t the most practical. There’s a large central structure in the middle of the room, which makes the space feel smaller and a bit cramped, especially if you have luggage. Recommend to ask for other rooms without this.
Overall, still a comfortable and stylish stay for the location, but the room design could be more functional.
